@@mikehancock6280 it is a brighter sound, especially when compared up against the warm sounding Micro 2. The Clip 5 is a lot like the Flip6 in how it does cut a little bass and get a bit brighter at max. I often drop the treble down a notch on the Flip6 and it makes sense, for me at least, to follow suit on the Clip5.
Nice review as usual, I've had the Tribit Stormbox Micro 2 for quite a while now, it's my pocket king especially for travels However, it's good i bring to your notice about different sound signatures to it depending on the firmware version you have, when i bought it new, it was too bright listening on axis, it came with fw 1.1.8, i kept updating it whenever any is available, the latest one now for me is fw 1.2.8 which sounds good, better & balanced to me, no longer as bright as it used to be, i love warm sound signature I haven't seen any pocket speaker beat it on bass, the default EQ(Music) is where it shines the most
Agreed. And another thing to remember that this speaker wasn't really designed to be used sitting on someone's desk. It's designed to be used strapped to your bike, your belt, etc. while outside. It's sound signature might sound bassy and a bit dull inside (especially on a desk near to a wall), but this might be the best match for its target usage environment, where other speakers with a higher treble response might end up sounding shrieky and thin when turned up.
Links to the speakers in the description. Also, check out my Amazon Storefront for other cool stuff.
The JBL clip 5 versus that Tron smart clip style speaker. Great video great job keep up with a good work.
XDOBO makes a speaker this size named the PRINCE 1995 which retails for $22.99 but it’s usually marked down to $19.99.
Funny you should mention that.
......stay tuned. 😆

Not too wild about the clip 5’s high pitched sound at higher volumes.
