Etsy has some wonderful pdf options for casserole carriers a few designs do not require a handle but utilizes serving spoons. here is a link to one that I would like to give a try.

This is SUCH a great project thank you so much for sharing! We’re a Corningware family as well, and my mom has the original blue flowers pattern while I’m collecting the Wildflowers pattern. All of mine are thrifted which makes it even more fun for me to collect since I never know which piece I’m gonna thrift next. Can’t wait to make one of these!! ❤❤

Thus would be a perfect beginner project!
Leaving out the batting also has the advantage of making your cover easier to launder. The pre-quilted fabric was a perfect choice as it will hold up longer.

Fascinating. I don't think I know anybody who would have occasion to need to take a casserole dish of food anywhere with them, but... Differences between socialising in America and the UK, I suppose.
I’m from outback Australia. I now have moved to a capital city (1.2mill).
Following my first 40yr country pattern of inviting people over for meals, aft tea, games evenings...I did the same when I moved to Adelaide. All I received was quizzical looks as I invited my friends and family over.
But I persisted. And persisted.
Now I have Grand Central Station at my place! And as I’m poor, I gently gently programmed the visitors to bring a casserole, or salad, or dessert and wine so it wasn’t a financial burden on me.
Yahoo!! I’ve stirred up the whole group to a new level of socialising.

I LOVE how this casserole carrier turned out! I agree with other people that the addition of the Corningware decal/image is PERFECTION! I'm definitely going to look for that pattern and make some for gifts for my family. I may play around with the design to make one for the leftovers our family takes home after one of our get-togethers.

That's so nice! I have a different pattern for the casserole dishes (I don't think it has handles ...) And this one is such a great idea. I'll have to look out for it. I love the decal, I grew up with hand me down corningware too! There is something very nostalgic about that cornflower blue print.

Do you need some silicone dots or something on the bottom inside to keep the glass casserole dish from sliding?
That so cute! I made something similar 20 years ago as gifts with felt that I quilted and that closed with a big button. I still use mine, but this is much better! I think your wallpaper/background is so stinking adorable! Was this something you added or was it in your house originally?
