you should look into upgrading your recording microphone. your current mic peaks while you are just talking. a better microphone which could be as simple as a rode wireless mic set would 100% improve the quality.

@@IntelliHomes nice! make sure you do some tests to make sure the audio stays consists. a limiter would help also.
