I´m going to wear my H belt as well. But it is true that the buckle scratches so easily. Fortunately I live in a place where very few recognize the H belt. However, I have been thinking of switching to Ferragamo.
Me either. How people just decide that things are not cool anymore is stupid. You either have style or you don't. You can buy style either BTW. Like athleticism you either have it or you don’t.
All the buckles are recognizable and scream luxury. I don't see the difference between the iconic logo of Celine or Hermes Kelly vs. Gucci, LV or Hermes H. It's just depending on whether or not you deliberately want to put yourself in a more exclusive group with generally newer and more expensive items. Each belt goes with each particular mood and outfit of the day. I have big, small, understated as well as Gucci, LV and will continue and enjoy using them.
Finally, this logo mania belt trand is over and so refreshing to see different belt that will test the time and won't get dated next year. What's why French ladies always look sooo stylish, they don't mix three brends at once when they put an outfit together, they use one statement piece for the outfit ...shoes OR belt OR bag, but not all together. Personally, I get a lot of use from my Ferragamo and Hermes Kelly belts, year after year and Im planning to add a Loewe anagram belt this year to my collection! 🎉 I love Polene French brand and I would love to buy one of the bags, however its very hard to find a bag from Polene with silver hardware, and even the belts too now. Love the design, quality and price but whyyyy only gold hardwear??!?? I would be cool if a customer could choose a hardware!!! I'm definitely a silver kinda girl, haha!!! Maybe something will change later!😊 Merci beaucoup pour ta video, c'est très chouette !!! Bonne journée !!!❤
I can highly recommend Elliot Rhodes for belts. They have interchangeable buckles, so one strap can go from gold to silver, or minimal to statement buckle. I love them because even with a statement buckle, there's no obvious logo. And the quality is very good. I do like the Ferragamo though...❤
I like the Celine Triomphe, too. I have good, classic leather belts that are 40 years old and I still love and wear. My tip is to stick with a classic width, about 1 to 1.25 (standard) inches wide, at most, 1.5 inches, these are almost always “in style” and fit the vast majority of belt loops. I remember in the early 80s, we couldn’t wear our late 70s wide belts anymore, not just because they were out of style, but they wouldn’t fit the belt loops of the current clothes. Wide belts did make a comeback later in the 80s, but I wouldn’t buy a top quality designer belt in a brief trend like that. I’m very much into: buy it once, choose the best quality and classic style, and wear it forever.
I love my Loewe Anagram belt (reversible black and tan). As soon as I saw this design, I knew I had to have it! It’s so classic and feminine that I know I’ll always love wearing it. It feels “French” to me. I think maybe the scroll design reminds of my visit to Paris as a little girl, I remember the beautiful ironwork everywhere there. Now, I want it in more colors! I would love a white/ecru because most of my wardrobe is in light neutrals and light, soft, muted colors. (Summer coloring type).
I don't care for the GG belt but do love the Hermes H belt. I have the Ferragamo belt as well and think it's beautiful. The Celine belt is next on my list!
The Kelly belt can’t barely hold the pants on, its slippery! It doesn’t even does the purpose a belt should do, hold your clothes on you… the idea that you can manipulate according how you want to wear and the length however they should do something for the belt hold still.
Nice belt selection. I plan to add some more belts this year and also continue to wear my belts from previous years, like my two Gucci Marmont belts and other ones from previous years. I've always been a chameleon when it comes to fashion styling and have never been a one trick pony as the saying goes. The so-called quiet luxury style is fine as one of many fashion styles to wear, but is not for me, "The" only style to wear to look stylish or elegant. There's a big world out there with many different elegant styles, many of which correspond to one's particular culture, but don't necessarily fall into the so-called quiet luxury style. Greetings from Los Angeles
Every bag has its own story, and every story is a part of you. Why care about other people’s opinions? Live with confidence and do what you love *condup*
Hey Alice, love your channel, love Paris, etc, and been following for a while. I'm a male, not homo nor metrosexual, just straight heterosexual guy - is this a common follower type of your channel? Anyway, what belts do you recommend for a man?
Welcome, we love straight guys, too. I watch some men’s styling channels, too, I still learn things although I’m woman with a more feminine style. Especially about classics, which I love.🙂
It is also because of the fakes; i loved my h belt 15 years ago but since every teenager on the street is wearing a fake, i sold mine. The only logo belt i have is the smallest valentino belt, still like that one
Glad you’re featuring these understated belts in your video. ‘Appreciate hearing the quality of these ones… Khaite, B-Low the belt, and Ralph Lauren. 👍🏽👍🏽
I’m selling a Ralph Lauren “genuine leather” belt because they didn’t mention the leather outer is bonded to a super-thick, inflexible piece of plastic. I used to love RL, before the gave up natural materials in favor of cheap synthetics.🙂
I’ve always thought of people who are so over the top with logos as just boring in itself . Logos and cheap fashion come and go but good taste and class is forever.
this is the thing, if I want to be "quiet luxury" i can buy massimo dutti for 70 euros and they are perfect quality belts. The logo designer belts you buy for status. After a certain price tag, it is no longer quality you are paying for. Now, quiet luxury as all trends will pass and only the people who really belong there will keep wearing it. Everybody else will more on to the next thing. Conclusion: wearing a million logos is a definite no, but having a logo of the brand you appreciate and have a history with, is totally fine.
Reason I won’t buy this helmet she has I see they are selling the similar belt at Walmart different brand. I paid $5 for it. My friend has the hermet. Belt she paid $1000 mine from Walmart they are similar. Same design but different brand
You guys always say no logos. It is so tacky. . Yet I see plenty of rich/wealthy folks with logos. In fact, Vogue said no logos for 2024, then immediately showed Angelina Jolie with her big black YSL Shopper. It is a way of being snobby. Wear what you want, folks. If you like showing your money off, enjoy yourself.
Wow, so judgemental of other people... In return they could say that your taste is incredibly boring. A lot of incredibly dressed women have a flamboyant dress sense

I’ve owner Hermes Gucci Valentino Chanel belts for 20+ years & vintage. Never been LV lady. Not stopping to wear H belts

Ditto still wear my H belt

Correction: should read --You ** Cant - not can buy style. Also no one cares what the French think. At least in the US

Wear and love them all 🤷🏻♀️😊
Soeur, lanvin and banana republic have good options. Understated and élégant.

Hello thank you for the recommendation I will check

I love your classic, but modern good taste! You French ladies do it best, thanks for your videos❤
I really enjoy these videos. As I shop mostly online, I find it very helpful to know where to look for quality items.

love the beige ecru color
I don't care for the GG belt but do love the Hermes H belt. I have the Ferragamo belt as well and think it's beautiful. The Celine belt is next on my list!
Me too i love that small celine
Very helpful!. I love a middle ground between classic and modern approach.
Thank you for your advice, I am thinking to buy celine belt.
Please can you do a video on clutch bags, both for winter and summer?
I love old belt definitely. Gucci design will never expired
GREAT TIPS AS ALWAYS ALICE!!!!
❤ TO YOU AND NAPO!!!!
LOTS OF PETS TO YOUR PRECIOUS FUR BABY!!!!
I love luxury belts
Alice - Merci! I love your videos, and find your insight most helpful.
You have great taste Alice. The Celine belt is on my list to buy!

What belt are you wearing Alice?
@@olgadi7351 Celine and non logo brands. I am currently looking for new brands
Nice video . Alice, what do you think of Ferragamo hug bag? Thanks.
Looks nice but for the same format I do prefer the Ricky RL. But still a nice bag
I feel like it’s only a matter of time before the Celine belt becomes like the Gucci and Hermes belt because of the obvious logo
Where can I buy celine bag and belt in Paris.. please...
celine store or department stores like Bon Marche printemps Galerie Lafayette
@@Aliceinparisofficial Thank you so much.
The Ferragamo belt is starting to be a little overdone in the US.
The best belts without any logo 👠
I recommend belt from edited pieces ❤
The Gucci logo belts are everywhere in suburban shopping centres
Vidéo très intéressante ! Je cherchais à acheter une nouvelle ceinture. Merci !
I love your accent❤

Although men are not Alice’s target viewer, you are certainly welcome here! Enjoy her videos. 😊

I don't care what is in or out if you like it and you paid for it wear it. There should never be rules in fashion you should love what you wear .
Agree with you 100 percent

Hi Alice I agree the logo belts are tacky

I just buy nice leather and suede belts. I especially love a reptile embossed leather belt. There is no need for a belt with a logo buckle.
I agree with you that big logos are tacky. The Kelly belt is so pretty in the light blue with palladium ❤
Men's basic, good quality, simple belts - in smallest size
But now… all those belts will soon become too popular and just as bling as the previous you mentioned. 😂

Yes you have money show it. I love logo belt.
Hi Alice please tell your models not to lift their leg when modeling Doesn’t look professional.
Wow, so judgemental of other people... In return they could say that your taste is incredibly boring. A lot of incredibly dressed women have a flamboyant dress sense
Alice just gives good advice as a French woman !
I don’t find Alice to be at all judgmental. She just stated the the larger, obvious logo belts are not her style and not aligned with French style.
1. The channel is dedicated to Parisian lifestyle.
2. Your comment adds nothing constructive to the dialogue.
Nothing boring with Alice’s taste Only ce « je ne sais quoi « si frenchy that the world admires
@@wannabe41totally agree. There is misunderstanding here and it is between what she prefers and likes and what people do really wear in Paris.
Why spend so much and not show the logo ? You pay for that
👏👏👍🙏🙏🙏🌸🍀
OMG the big logo belts are the worst! So tacky!
Celine belt is awful quality and falls apart within 1 year.
This is such a stupid topic 🙄 it's just a belt. Not a cure to cancer
