    These bikes were before my time, I always wondered which bike was considered the top dog during the mid to late 70's.

    Bought a 79 CR 250 from a used car dealership in Louisiana back in '05 when I lived there a couple of years. Thing didn't even have an hour on it. Owned by two different local farmers who bought it as a trail bike. Big mistake. Apparently scared them half to death, rode it slowly around the yard on occasion. It had no visible signs of wear, ran great with fresh fluids. Paid $800, came with original MSO from Honda. Don't find those opportunities often.

      Your right about that, once that vibration climbed up his butt he was a kid again. Smokers forever

      Oh Heck yes! I'm grinning positive that if he'd put it in gear and popped the clutch, that CR250 would have "up & left" him standin' right there!

    Todd... I might be old school, but I learned with my CZ, if the kick starter is on the left, you stand next to the bike on the left-hand side and kick it with your right foot.

      What was the reasoning behind putting the kick start on left? Say you crash on the track, you just stand there next to the bike while others pass by you just to start it?

    • @sheidbrink
      @sheidbrink ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Daniel456324 No... it was where the engineers could put the gears in the case.

    I see why Honda moved the kickstarter to the right side. 1. It sucks, 2. You could bump it in gear when starting. 😳😳
