The fact that you were able to get the doors that far speaks volumes.
Bob, my brothers and I were hired when we were in high school to sand a huge ( about 20 footer) boat that a guy was fiberglassing. Little did we know what that entailed. I’m 74 now and still itching from it. Good job, Professor 😮
this channel is the best for showing you hwo to fix problem things like this...dont change anything about your presentation mr bub!
Dang Bob I'm starting to itch just watching this video!!!
Arms and hands started itchin.
Very impressive Bob. You truly do "build stuff".
We who have done so much with so little for so long, that now we can do just about anything with practically nothing 👍 Keep diggin' Bob !
keep at it Bob...stay hydrated.
I think you are doing a great job considering this is your first Fiberglass car. I'm learning a lot as you go along. Keep up the good work and be careful of the HEAT🔥🌡️
Those inner door panels are looking fantastic. That is a lot of work....no question. Great work. Look forward to seeing the outer panels get fitted. Be safe and stay well. And stay cool too.
You are truly an inspiration to all the rest of us. You are deep into the hardest part right now, and doing a great job considering the temperatures down there! Love all of your tricks and keep up the great work. Lookin good Bob!
You're doing a good job. Thanks for sharing with us.
Coming along well Bob. Great to see you back in action.
Bob, That is an insane amount of detail fiberglass work, WOW! You are literally building your own inner and outer door structures. This is why others gave up on this car. Because the doors were all wrong! Considering what you have accomplished so far, I think you are working at a pretty good clip especially considering the weather. I live in South Texas so I know the heat issue. The only thing I would recommend is that you also fiberglass the mounting metal of your window regulators. You've already beefed up thee hinges and latches. Time spent now sorting out the doors will be well spent at the end of this car. Keep on keeping on. You are indeed "Getting it!"
You are an amazing builder Bob.you getting it Bob
Very Nice Bob, it's great to make your parts with Fiberglass, i like your tape and cardboard trick😁😁
great work.
Good job Bob .. you have a lot of patience.. car is going to look great ..
i'm almost speechless, you are without a doubt one of America's premier vehicle fabricators, bar none. it is a pleasure to watch what you accomplish, thanks for the journey Bbo.
Bob, love the fiberglass work! Use baby powder on bare skin so fiberglass doesn't make you itch.
Rock on
S
Awesome work Bawb
Your are a Genius
Keep plugging away at it....slow and steady wins the race!!!
Very Nice Work Bob Coming along Nicely
This little sweetie is well worth it.really like this one Bob.
Bob, that looks great. Love this build, also the mini chopper is awesome. Can't wait till the next video.
Your determination and stick-to-itiveness is amazing. Man I hate fiberglass work. I have only done it on rc models. I can't imagine the grief you are going thru on these dang doors!
Red said ain't want no part of that fiberglass stuff boooooob.....hell of job so far I'll say bob....stay Kool the heat is on LOL from Arizona to NYC ....🙂👍🙏
I seen you post and instantly started to watch you amaze me with stuff I struggled with fixing hoods and fenders on large trucks in the logging industry. When your showing everyone the way to do stuff, or at least what worked for you as the keyboard engineers may not agree..... anyway...... the smell of the resin hit my nose like I was there doing it myself. I never knew about the tape not sticking or just a about everything shown here on screen. I did feel my fingers get sticky and want to stick together tho/LOL. Ya... moving along with the project Bob in heat only scorpions enjoy. While I was in the hospital, the room I was in had the large windows, facing a tar paper black roof which attached to the building I was in. We haven't seen much hot weather this year and a high of around 77 degrees is about as warm as it gets. That heat tho from the reflection liked to bake my room. We don't have air conditioning in the only hospital here. I felt bad for those nurses walking a average of eleven miles a shift helping everyone there. I felt so dang helpless and would have to have a nurse do some/all of the things a guy does (forget modesty) but they soldiered on with smiles.... Dang Bob, it leaves a guy ashamed to whine about anything after this experience. I watched the video and got feeling poorly so just took more medication for this nauseous feeling I get.
Your not complaining yet working in heat that would kill me quicker than the darn heart attack I went through. Your a soldier yourself for mustering a video out in that heat. One thing about getting older is our tolerance to stuff isn't near what it was say at thirty years of age. I keep learning from you a lot of stuff and so from that may be able to at least help someone else do something that needs glass work. I will stop writing my book length comment now and just say thank you!!
Bob the artist. Nice work.
Keep on keeping on Bob!!!
Great job Bob!!! we'll see yah next time stay cool don't melt
Nice work Bob. DONT FORGET TO DRILL HOLES IN THE BOTTOM TO LET THE WATER OUT.
Good plan!
Bob I'm just going to say it again .... Your Great in whatever you're doing building these Rat Rods, I have learned so much by watching you work making these videos, and I want to Thank you for all that you do!
We All know , If any one can make them doors fit it's you Mr BoB . Cheers . 🚙🕸👍🤔🤠
Great job bob and for someone that's not a body man hey my hats off to yagreat job

Bob doors fit great. Good on you
Coming together just fine Bob. Love watching your videos. Want to get me a Rat Rod one day. I live in Philadelphia Ms. Let me know when you are going to a car show I would really like to meet you one day
Man this is interesting and your doing a great job Bob. You have mastered the art of moving and adding fiberglass I see. Cut it and add. Very clever useing box tape and card board to back it while it sets up. I really like your Ryobi glue gun too its very handy. Thank you for the interesting and informative video. I always enjoy seeing what you been building. Berry Cool Bob.
GearHeadz Garage sent me your way. Sure glad he did. Wow!
Hey Bob. Good job on working on the glass car. I never worked with fiberglass but I would think it would be harder because you can't tack a piece in like metal. Plus it is very itchy. We had a heat wave here as well, but it is gone now. Thanks for sharing.👍👍🍁
Lots of patience Bawb, doors are looking great, you hear me!
I have watched for years and you gave me false confidence. I am making a custom speedster. I got it in my mind that upgraded door latches woukd be just the thing. So I got a set of Rolls Royce latches and receivers. What a giant pain in the patutte. But when I got it right it is magic. Thanks Bob.
I think the doors are important to fit right bob. Dont want the wind to open that door while your driving down the road. I didn't know a person could manipulate a fiberglass door so much. Your amazing Bob. I learn more from you and coldwarmotors every time I watch. Those other tubers are kinda rinse n repeat.
School of Rat Rodology. Thank you Sir
I was getting worried thinking you had quit until summer was over. Looks like you got those doors going your way.
Great job on the doors Bawb.
man if i know one thing when you do get threw ...that's going to be bad ass!!!!! take your time bud don't let you tube rush you!!!
Nice job Bob! Too bad its the hottest and stickiest time of year weather wise! Keep up the good work man!
Wow alot of work. Your awesome ❤

Absolutely brilliant Bob.

Looking good Bob.
Hey Bob, you sure can turn your hand to anything "hot rod "I'm impressed.
You are the man Bob , great work
The video I've been ITCHING for!
Looks like the perfessor figured it out!!!! With the fumes your probably need to take the rest of the day off!!!!
thanks for the tips working that glass, wish i would of known before hand with my old Bosten Whaler
Good call note point joint. More surface. Gonna try it
Interesting stuff Bob!
Hey Bob I have found that body filler/ bondo sticks to fierglass like baby shi- to a blanket, and can help to make floppy bits quite ridged.
You're getting it!
You never fail to amaze me 👍
G'day Bob,
Another cool vid ,
Get Red to lend a hand with the fibreglass, he wont get to itchy .
Respect....!
Up in the north, we get to 40% humidity, maybe, in the middle of winter. Otherwise, humidity is through the roof, Bawb. This is a great example of why rodders stay away from 'glas bodies and pieces.
Fusor makes a structural two part glue, would save from alot of itching. Its made for glueing fiberglass.
Rat rod is looking good bob keep up the great work and videos
cant believe you leaving red out of this nice build you both make a team
Fantastic job .well done
The guy I watched in the boat yard would hot glue parts together and then fiberglass them. I tried it on a marine exhaust, worked great.
Love your work Bob nice as always
I like the mini chopper....So there's that.
Great work .
You’re awesome it going to look good
You are a great person, I sure am proud of your work, I’d be itching like crazy, have a great weekend, you deserve it. Brian.
I've heard of cardboard aided design, but moving into cardboard aided production👍. Great work, Again.
Even in the south 90 plus temperature will bake out the humidity.
Lookin great! Hopefully the inner door is in far enough so there is room to mount the outer skin flush with the body.
Yep ... that's the trick!
Bet there has been some colorful words of no so much wisdom spoken as the work on these doors have progressed lol I didn't realize that they were for a different style of body working with fiberglass is a lot different than metal harder at times easier in some places reconstructing them to fit gotta be tuff your work is looking good ! Don't think id even have the patience to do it keep up the good work
I just did a suicide door conversion and i had to take each door on and off like you said probably 20 or more times trial and error fitting. Patience grasshopper, is what you must have! Your level is of epic proportions ,nicely done brother!
God job Rat Rod Bob
Wish I lived around you bob I love fiberglass
Cool stuff. I'm digging the progress. Wonder how Red feels about that fiberglass. Great video. Enjoyed watching ✌️ 😎
Lookin good Bawb, nice work with the glass and making it fit better than the factory ever did
It's going to be great!
Bob you are the kat your stuff is extra cool been watching you for a while
Good job Bob it's coming together
"Hi, I'm Rat Rod Bob and I build stuff" !! ... Yes, that you do Bob... and since you're building doors, after you finish both, please don't lose the momentum and push your skill to the limit by building a trunk lid for a rumble seat? You'll have the only fibreglas '34 Ford with a chopped roof and a rumble seat set up for a couple of other passengers..
Good video!
Awesome Job Bob!!! I Feel Ya On That Heat Wave!!! We Both Riding The Same Wave!!!
Learned The Packing Tape Trick When I Was Building Jackie!!! Works Great!!!
Keep Rocking It Out Brother!!!
Right on!
Man, this is teaching me to stick with metal.
Nice work, now take the rest of the day off with pay!
For a little strength, lay a piece of cloth, 2 pieces of mat, start over too build thickness, and saturate so no white shows. You can also shred the mat and use it for filler, don't have to use a solid piece. Flow coat it with resin to get a smooth finish.
Hey Bawb,
Ya might wanna be careful there.
Ya makin that fiberglass look pretty good !
Sorta like ya know well what you is doin !
People will soon be callin ya for advice from an expert !
Ya may not have it yet, but we know you is gonna git it !
