Not dumb at all. If you NEED a larger bed get a Tacoma and pay more and get worse gas mileage. Most people like me need it for recreation activities like kayaking or to get some building material on occasion. Gas mileage is key for me. Many just like pickups and want something that doesn't get horrendous gas mileage so you won't mind it being a daily driver.
You're going to put a kayak into a 5 foot bed. Ha, ha. My ten foot Pungo barely fits in my six foot Tacoma bed. They make this silly double cab silly sand box bed trucks for guys with families so they think they own a 'truck'.
@@herrsteppenwolf Ha ha ha, exactly! Toyota should offer a sandbox liner and play sand with kiddie toys as an OEM accessory. I don’t understand why these people don’t buy a 4Runner. At least the entire thing would be completely covered as cab space. It must be, as you said, that the self-delusion of owning a a “truck” is magnetic.
What are these manufacturers thinking? A sand box or kiddy pool bed, good for nothing and a crew cab for wifey and the kids. A vehicle for all purposes? More like for no purpose at all. More sh@t to break down on you. I doubt most drivers today could handle a crank window.
Hope it comes in 2025. Ready
Got to much crap on it. WORTHLESS
Isnt AI wonderful? 😂😂😂
It's another four-door "truck" with a tiny bed. It's dumb. Why not simplify a Tacoma/Hilux instead?

@herrsteppenwolf They don't have to fit completely
