- Sue Gray will take a pay cut after being moved from her role as Sir Keir Starmer’s chief of staff to the part-time position of Prime Minister’s envoy for the regions and nations.
Previously earning £170,000, more than the Prime Minister, Gray’s salary was leaked last month, sparking frustration among some Labour insiders seeking higher wages.
Her new role comes after concerns that her position as chief of staff had become a distraction.
Kevin O’Sullivan and Isabel Oakeshott scrutinise the current movements by the Labour party.

The biggest worry is, these people got voted in !
Not by many though. 32% of the electorate who bothered to vote, with the lowest turnout ever, about 60%. So about 20% of adults voted Labour ( and that explains why he wants children to vote at the next election). Not so much voted in by the public, but got in because the public couldn't be bothered to vote for anybody else.
Unfortunately the voters had no idea how bad it could be, Starmer lied about what he would be doing therefore he should be pushed out for that reason alone

I am terrified where this country is going. How have we ended up with an unstable character running the country as Starmer. How did he end up being CP and the Head of the Prosecutions Service? Backed into a corner he’s like a rabbit in the headlights. Hiding behind the legal service, with Angela Rayner as his wingman it ‘s absolutely frightening.
Many aged Labour voters will be thinking hard about their traditional loyalty to a party that takes freebies whilst cutting the heating allowance for those aged pensioners and having the loyalty card thrown back in their faces. It will be the millstone that takes them to the bottom of the political pond. Hopefully Starmer and the rest of the front bench will be departing soon.
