    I think this is a very truthful presentation in showing the awesome power of the Osmose and how boring and colorless the Deckard can be. The Osmose costs 1700eu and on top of being the most expressive keyboard in history, has its own extremely powerful and versatile synth engine. While the Deckard costs 4800eu and after 2-3 months of programming starts to sound extremely repetitive (you'd honestly be better off with Softube's Model 80, it also costs a fraction of the Deckard).

    I truly believe that Osmose is the most innovative synthesizer in at least 25 years (maybe longer), and represents a turning point in the way we can interact with sounds.

    After being a keyboard player for over 20 years, exactly one year ago I decided to finally learn how to play guitar and was directly blown away on how different it is to have control over each note as long as you are connected to the string. The Osmose is the next step in evolution to transfer this feeling into keyboard instruments.

    I want an Osmose because I played one earlier this year at Machina Bristonica and I can't stop thinking about how incredible it felt to play. Ridiculously expressive and almost spiritual to play.

    My name is Liam. I am a keyboard player for my schools rock band. Due to costs of keyboards it has always been hard for me to even consider buying new keyboards and synthesisers. I work every holiday as an audio engineer or help anyone I can for some extra money towards keyboards. Winning this keyboard would not only change my life and the way I play but it would also help my school to win more competitions to help give funding to all students and improve their school life. Thank you so much for this wonderful opportunity!

    I have played piano since I was very young. Over my years in school I tried to pick up as many instruments as I could, and I got into composition. My dream is to be a film composer, and I’m actively working on that goal, getting gigs with small filmmakers and taking music courses online aside from my university degree. I had the opportunity to try this incredible synth at a music store this year and it blew me away how it unlocked another dimension of expressiveness and emotion. Unfortunately my student budget doesn’t have much room for such things :) The Osmose would help me open up that new dimension in my compositions as I’ve been long wanting to infuse a bit more of a synth sound into my work. Awesome opportunity, thanks guys!

    After playing the drums for years I learnt playing the piano on my own so I'd be able to express myself better when it comes to my music production. But actually I always felt there is a lack of expressiveness on the keys. I really miss the intuitive bending of an guitar and the beautiful vibrato of a violin. So a few days ago I saw a video about Hans Zimmer creating the Dune soundtrack with the Osmose and I was hooked instantly. I'd love to integrate the Osmose into my workflow and create some unique sounds with it!

    I’ve spent so long working with standard keyboards that everything I produce feels like it’s been painted in the same few colors. The Osmose stands out as a truly expressive, dynamic instrument-just what I need to break free from my creative comfort zone. With its responsive design, I could shape notes more intuitively, coaxing out nuances that transform my sketches into fully realized, meaningful pieces. It’s not just another gadget, it’s the next step in giving my music the detail and emotion it deserves

    I’m a guitar player first and synth “player” second. One of the things that I’ve always found as a massive difference is the expression. There are just so many variables to the sound when you are playing guitar.
    Osmose appears to be the first keybed that addresses this difference properly. Would love to own one and test my theory. Great video!

    I began to play the keyboard and other machines several years ago, and often feel frustrated by the lack of potential expressiveness of those instruments. I wanted to learn to play the trombone for that reason but I don't have time to learn everything and get good at everything... The Osmose would bridge that gap in the most brilliant way.
    Thanks for all your videos btw, they're all really helpful :)

  • @alejandrit0san
    @alejandrit0san หลายเดือนก่อน

    This concept is great! As far as I can remember playing synths, I have this intuitive tendency to push more for extra filter or alteration, and to move horizontally for bending or vibrato. So far though, these effects only happened in my imagination.. 😅
    It seems now that Osmose did a great job, allowing you to capture your expressions in a very natural way. I really can't wait to start experimenting with this and to bring this instrument to a live setting!!

    As a none musician this synth would allow me to play with a lot more expression in my compositions than a conventional keyboard, added to that the Haken Audio's Haken Editor, plus you can use all it's expressions on other synths that are compatible with MPE makes this a dream machine

  • @RealGrover
    @RealGrover หลายเดือนก่อน

    Ever since I had the great pleasure to play on a Haken Continuum way back then, I’ve been loving the Eagan Matrix synth engine! It has this uncannyness and flexibility to it that connects so well with what you do on the playing surface.
    Expressive E seems to have done a great job creating an alternative playing surface for this engine. Other than eg Roli Seaboard but alike the Continuum it leans in on the concept of doing the whole sound envelope with how the finger handles a key instead of using an initial velocity plus then some gestures to form the sound. That’s what makes the sound each finger creates so directly connected.
    I’d insta-buy this keyboard if money wasn’t an object.

  • @WavejumperUK
    @WavejumperUK หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    I think the expressiveness of the keys along with bitwigs MPE capabilities would bring a tactility to my synths I just can’t get with modulation alone and the internal engine sounds great too.

  • @muphlus
    @muphlus หลายเดือนก่อน

    Always wanted more natural emotional expression on synth. Grew up listening to and inspired by old Vangelis albums, and have gradually become a multi instrumentalist to express myself musically as well as i can. I love sound designing on synthesizer due to sonic possibilities, but always feel held back by the keys to articulate the sounds properly. Poly aftertouch helps, but few synths have that, and I'm longing for the whole range of nuance, sensitivity and pitch control per note. I haven't been able to afford or even try it yet, but I've had my eye on the Expressive E since it launched as it seems and sounds very musically promising - and looks very elegant as well!
    Thanks for the opportunity and reminder!

    I haven’t had the chance to play one yet, but I am very impressed by the sound-engine of the Osmose. It has nuances similar to traditional acoustic instruments, but makes sounds like modern instruments unheard before. Better than the mpe modules that I have tried and bought. The keyboard probably needs some time to get used to, but also seems easier to play than my Seaboard Rise. The Eaganmatrix editor must have amazing possibilities, with all its slots and formulas. Luckily for musicians like me, there are essential macro’s to handle and tweak the sounds, keeping the focus on playing rather than programming. Very inspiring!

Field recordings and modular synthesis merging together into wild fields of chaos and natural rhythms. I love the possibilities of MPE control and taking the tools of synthesis and physical modeling into new territory to create unique timbres, tones, and textures to create the music of the next century. 🤘Thank you, Expressive E team for bringing us this great machine and for the giveaway.

    I tried the Osmose once in a shop and was in the zone for more than an our long. Not being a trained pianist, i had a the feeling that i was playing a totally new instrument that could help me explore a lot of new textures and ideas. Thanks for the great demo (as usual).
    Would love to win it obviously.
    Cheers !

    Cause I recently went to the Big T and was amazed by the sonic and performance capabilities 🎉🔥

    The Osmose intrigues me. Its blend of traditional keyboard and pressure-sensitive surface seems to offer a new way of interacting with sound. I'm curious to explore how this unique interface might inspire fresh musical ideas and playing techniques. It's a chance to delve into a world of sonic possibilities that I haven't yet experienced.

    I love the expressiveness of the Osmose, nothing else quite like it other than the Continuum. Hope to one day own one.

    I've always wanted an MPE keyboard. And the Osmose is maybe the best one.

    There are so many reasons to have a Osmose in the studio. For one it is one of kind instrument just like most products designed by Expressive E. Nothing else does realistic physical modeling like Osmose. I hope the Synth God's answer my prayers and this ends up being my first flagship synth.

    For a big time ive been rocking out my guitar and i love classical music, so this wonderful osmose would not only make me explore and learn classical pieces but also let me experiment with the guitar and make new stuff

    It would be a great Christmas with the most expressive keyboard ever with a built in synth that can do it justice. My philosophy is that it's not which notes you play but how you play them and this gives the most possibilities.

    wow this feels like a modern classic already ! I only own vintage synth until now. and tbh never were interested in new modern synth so much. but this one changes everything ! to be able to add the osmose to my setup would be a dream ! I do a lot of scoring and this feels like a cheat code to me. so inspiring ! ✨

    I really want the osmose expressive e because when i first saw this instrument, i was immediately in awe of its soundscape. From playing upright bass and now trying to get into film composition, I've always thought that the osmose is really an all encapsulating instrument with the expressive nature of more traditionally stringed instrument among many other types of motions and gestures. It is a really exciting piece of technology with a super robust synth engine!

    I would love the Osmose for composing and arranging, feels like such a natural way to control expression!

    This magnificent piece of hardware is the climax of music instruments, where electronic sounds graciously meet analog control, to give musicians an infinite sonic pallet of sound colors never heard before. And that’s why I would love to have one :)

    Every once in a while, a new innovation arrives and changes what we think a status quo. Overall, keyboards of all kind have lacked means of expression that can be found in bowed instruments, wind instruments and many others. Osmose opens up new ways to express emotion in live playing, without programming various modulators, midi messages etc. I really would like to have this power under my fingers :)

    I’m a guitarist first, keyboard player second, but wow! Bendy, vibrato, wobbly keyboard sounds. Yes!!

    The last time I was in Burgebrach I had played the Osmose and since the Seaboard isn't available anymore this would be my great alternative. I want to train some Live Performances on it.
