The Endless Adventure Respects from India. For me English food is yum. Fish n chips Sizzlers Yorkshire pudding Apple pie Asparagus Salmon mutton chops mashed potatoes eggs White sauce creamy meat pie creamy mince meat pie n pork sausages bacon ham salamis beans eggs tomatos breads Wow 😋😉
Eric, just wondering, why you have an aversion to knives? In every video it seems, I see you trying to cut things with a fork! Lol. But great video as always .
I have to agree with your earlier commenter. That was a pretentious hipster attempt at a full English, with tiny portions and made to look all artsy. For the real experience, I recommend abandoning the idea of smart cafes and try to find a backstreet, downmarket, salt-of-the-earth workman's cafe. Possibly a roadside one on an 'A'-road. Grab a plastic seat, grab the ketchup and enjoy a real, full to overflowing plate of beans, eggs, sausage, bacon etc. And proper tea, not this Earl Grey nonsense! Now THAT'S a Full English.
Hey mate, yeah we mentioned how that was fancy for a full English. But we've definitely had the back alley version too. Much cheaper and pretty damn good 😄
CruisingTheCut Agreed. First thing I thought upon seeing the asparagus, the miniscule portions and the earl grey tea is that it was just wrong. Looked like a nice cafe though, apart from the food...
The Endless Adventure it's all about a greasy spoon brekki over the pond its about the regular cafe and black pudding yum but you need the traditional bury market black pudding that's where its at
You did say that and I was paying attention (!) but I was so outraged at that mockery of the Full English that I couldn't hold myself back from commenting. Glad to know you've had the proper thing too. Happy Christmas :-)
CruisingTheCut I agree that would fill just one leg not enough food to start the day. Should go to a workman cafe like you said for a proper breakfast.
Re-watching some of your old UK vlogs, love them! Hopefully you can get back to Europe if things ever get back to normal, maybe bring the new RV! I guess you could ship it over somehow? I have to laugh at some of the comments for this one saying you got the 'full English breakfast' _wrong_ by going to this place, lol. The _only_ difference is the asparagus, there's nothing else different on that plate (hash brown might be a little out there), other than the smaller portion of baked beans they gave you. The difference in taste would be zero, pretty much. It's not like it's a hard dish to get right, all the 'chef' is doing is frying meat, heating up canned beans, and toasting toast! 😂
Currently watching this with my GF who is from York and she’s finding it funny watching her hometown as a tourist destination. She’s enjoying your take on it. Also, the full English seemed a bit “clean”, if you get that. Maybe go downmarket next time you visit the Uk. Merry Christmas
Next time you two are here (whenever that might be) I would really recommend going to a classic town center cafe, and trying an English breakfast there! Can't wait to see what adventures you have planned for when the world is a safer place to be! Stay well and safe!
Guys, your last two videos have just blown me away with the low-light, shallow-depth cinematography. I take it that's the Sony a7ii? It, and you, are doing a stunning job: every cozy dim place you visit looks doubly romantic and beautiful, not to mention your sweet macro food shots. I also see no more focus failures. Keep up the great work!
What I like best about you two is, that apart from all the exotic travel and food, you also do the really local stuff like a supermarket pizza, beer and a Netflix night in. Keep it up, I'm living my life vicariously through you between jobs. If you do a meet up in Scotland I'll be there 😃
Yeah this may be a posh breakfast but looked really nice though. I wouldn't mind paying money to eat there. I can't believe I'm going to say this but the vegetarian one looked better ! well done guys, great video :)
Guys, your truly dedicated, love watching you and discovering my home (GB). Watching this on Christmas Day,where ever you are what ever your doing “Merry Christmas 🎄 & Happy New Year”,keep up the good work, but dudes, have a day off!! P.S. Please try visiting my home town “Liverpool”, Yule love it!!!! 🎅🏼
Blood sausage is a feature in poor societies that eat all of a cow, tongue, cheeks, organs, and offal, tail, hocks, and so on. It's just not the best parts. So it's all a turnoff when you have the means for prime rib.
Even though I live in the states, I never understood Americans and their relationship with a knife. Eating with a knife and fork is so much easier and civilized. It’s not difficult to put food in your mouth with a fork your left hand. All that switching hands and cutting with a fork seems pointless.
Don't miss out on the pork pies. I found one in the Shambles district, but it can be pricier. The wall walk is pretty darn cool as well, and gives you great views of York Minster.
Too arty farty. Do away with the asparagus for more black pudding and bacon, also switch the toast for fried bread. Then you have a full english breakfast.
Kelly. It doesn't taste like blood (like in steak), honestly. More like salty, crunchy, sausage noir with light spices, unique you would love it. Perfect with fried or poached eggs and ketchup!
go to york museum. it's fab also york dungeons and the Viking centre. all great historical experiences. you're an hour away from where I live. come down. I'll make you a cup of tea lol
you cant beat a full english in all its variations, the basics imo are sausage egg and beans then you can add tomato and bacon (i love fried toms) you can also have fried bread, a bit of black pudding is the icing on the cake but I never have it at home. My personal variation is mixed tinned beans and tomatoes with plenty of salt and pepper so it is nice and spicy, with the egg and sausage plus maybe bacon and some toast (buried in the beans and toms). Delicious!!
Happy Holidays from Finland ! I'll definitely have to try a full english(veggie version), next time I visit. How is travelling around England, for someone who doesn't drive ? I'm really interested in exploring outside of London :)
I love watching the both of you, and not in a creepy way :) Merry Christmas hope you both get loads of presents. I'm watching this at 03:07 in the morning UK Time on Christmas Day. My treat.
Don't go to the magpie cafe, this cafe is not used by locals for fish and chips! go to riverside chip shop next to the ship building yard or go to trenches! This is where the locals eat! Magpie is too expensive!
Omg I love your videos !! We used your St. Louis video when we went to visit St. Louis !! We were just in the twin cities in Minnesota and thought you guys need to do a video for the twin cities !!!
Loving the videos have yous tried the north east of England/ borderlands of Scotland some absolute beautiful coastlines and amazing towns and cities with lots of historical and cultural points of interest. Keep up the great work! 👍👍👍
He should get a tripod then he can eat properly. I was getting so fed of of him trying to mash his food then stuffing massive portions in his mouth. Gross
Hash browns not quite correct; it should have been fried bread instead, but fewer and fewer places do it. Enjoy Yorkshire. Try Runswick Bay if you are in the area.
I'm glad you've tried other Full English breakfasts because that one looked too pretentious and probably over priced . It looked small and were's the brown sauce. Its odd to have Asparagus and if you ask an Englishman for a vegetarian English breakfast we would laugh. The House of Trembling Madness is one of my favorite bars in York. I do love my home city but it does have a pretentious bubble around it.
Blimey, that black pudding looked like it had been incinerated! It's only supposed to be lightly fried. Nice to see you back in the UK guys! P.s. I'm a trucker guys....i would prefer either of those to a full english at a truckers cafe....don't want to clog those arteries!
If you want a real full english next time you're in England you need to stop at the Red Lion Truckstop in Northampton just off the M1 motorway. Its not a fancy full english like here, its a real working mans/truck drivers full english. No thrills, just a straight up truckers breakfast. Its also an interesting place, essentially a pub but with space for 100 trucks out back.
oh, you are in my home city.... not a true full english, but i might pop in... saying that the ivy is just around the corner... Still in York? Try my friends Viking bar... well worth a visit
Milk and sugar Earl Grey is good. Whitby is good. Full English is great from a crappy cafe with kickboxing posters and tomato shaped ketchup bottles is good, but the best one I've eaten was in Australia. And it had asparagus. Your vlog, again, is brilliant.
This is probably way late but you should go to Hull, its the UK city of culture for 2017 and there is tonnes of free museums and art galleries. There's even a building that hasnt been repaired from being bombed in world war 2 :)
Don't judge black pudding on that, the chef has cremated it. It should be done for 30 seconds on either side on a high heat. Slight crisp on the outside and soft in the middle.
Nah you have to be rich to begin with to make any money here lol Some nice castles to look round, most known for the TT races but I recommend avoiding those 2 weeks, busy! Also Laxey wheel is a great view, and most tourist attractions are free in the winter :P
I like tea without sugar. It takes time to get use to it as I use to have it with two sugars and I just stopped cold turkey now I prefer it without. Your English breakfast was so small. You should of gone to a workman cafe and gotten a proper breakfast a hearty breakfast. I can't stand black pudding yukky. You know you can get White Pudding in Scotland and compare the two flavours? Merry Christmas to you both and Happy New Year 2018. Maybe you could think of visiting Milton Keynes the home of the Concrete cows???
That being said…asparagus wrapped in bacon is not part of your Great British Breakfast. Bet it tastes nice, but maybe better as a starter for lunch. That black pudding looked just right.

The Endless Adventure Respects from India. For me English food is yum. Fish n chips Sizzlers Yorkshire pudding Apple pie Asparagus Salmon mutton chops mashed potatoes eggs
White sauce creamy meat pie creamy mince meat pie n pork sausages bacon ham salamis beans eggs tomatos breads Wow 😋😉
Does the fire scene in the Jorvik centre still smell of burning bacon?
Eric, just wondering, why you have an aversion to knives? In every video it seems, I see you trying to cut things with a fork! Lol.
But great video as always .

I don’t understand why British food gets such a bad press. As long as you like hearty, comfort food you can’t go wrong.
I especially like when American's who have never been to the UK talk about British food being bad - as if the US is known for their good food 😌.
@@rachael4512 american food tastes great, they got chinese food, mexican food, indian food, irish food, italian food, new york pizza, deep dish pizza
@@samtaylor7279 Lmao. They've got all of those foods that aren't American. The UK has all of those too but we don't call it British food 🤣.
I can't be in the UK for more than 12 hours without getting a sausage roll.
Re-watching some of your old UK vlogs, love them! Hopefully you can get back to Europe if things ever get back to normal, maybe bring the new RV! I guess you could ship it over somehow? I have to agree with the other comments about the breakfast, I have never seen asparagus in one.
Agree!
I love how much you guys love an English Breakfast 😀
Currently watching this with my GF who is from York and she’s finding it funny watching her hometown as a tourist destination. She’s enjoying your take on it. Also, the full English seemed a bit “clean”, if you get that. Maybe go downmarket next time you visit the Uk. Merry Christmas

I'm so excited for these vlogs because I'm going to be in York this year in mid-Dec! So excited. Thank you!
What a fun video! Both breakfasts look delicious!
I'm not vegetarian but that veggie breakfast looks delicious.
Merry Christmas Eric and Allison and everyone!!
good video. York is one of my favourite places. Glad you're enjoying your time in the UK. Merry Christmas.
Yeah this may be a posh breakfast but looked really nice though. I wouldn't mind paying money to eat there. I can't believe I'm going to say this but the vegetarian one looked better ! well done guys, great video :)
It didn't look bad but I'd change it to mix the best parts of both on one plate.
That black pudding needs some of the runny egg yolk with it.. = awesome

I’m so glad you like England and taking part of the culture here :)
love to see you guys so relaxed enjoy the uk
How have I never been to York?? It looks amazing! I need to get back to England stat!
Go on!
Black Pudding is amazing. Americans get turned off by the sound of blood pudding but is a staple in most foodie cultures
Blood sausage is a feature in poor societies that eat all of a cow, tongue, cheeks, organs, and offal, tail, hocks, and so on. It's just not the best parts. So it's all a turnoff when you have the means for prime rib.

Blood Meat Cookie---new band name
Merry Christmas to you both.Thank you for all your video's this year .Safe travels.Peace.🌲⛄️💥🎉🎁
Love it you guys. Your English accent cracks me up... Straight from spinal tap lol. Merry christmas to you xx
go to york museum. it's fab
also york dungeons and the Viking centre. all great historical experiences. you're an hour away from where I live. come down. I'll make you a cup of tea lol
Great vlog;) The vegetarian breakfast looked great. Next time you could visit the York Dungeon place it is amazing.
Thanks for the tip!
Merry Christmas ! To you two and anyone reading this.
Same to you!

This is a really interesting series of videos
Amazing video! So happy you visited York. It’s my University city and my favourite city 👌🏻👌🏻 Happy New Year
Awesome! It's a beautiful city, we hope to visit again soon!
Happy Holidays from Finland ! I'll definitely have to try a full english(veggie version), next time I visit. How is travelling around England, for someone who doesn't drive ? I'm really interested in exploring outside of London :)
Loads of fun. Missed a bunch of your videos, so now time to catch up. Hope you two had a great Christmas!
Thanks, we did! Hope yours was great as well :)
Yeah I always remember my mum cooking asparagus with our breakfast :)
We love it when Eric does his 'British' accent 🤣
I love watching the both of you, and not in a creepy way :) Merry Christmas hope you both get loads of presents. I'm watching this at 03:07 in the morning UK Time on Christmas Day. My treat.
Go to Whitby, it is very nice.
We actually head there in our next video 😄
Try the Magpie cafe very good fish & chips and excellent fish pie, have fun.
Magpie Cafe does have the best fish and chips evvvvaaaaaaaahhhh
Don't go to the magpie cafe, this cafe is not used by locals for fish and chips! go to riverside chip shop next to the ship building yard or go to trenches! This is where the locals eat! Magpie is too expensive!
The Magpie definitely isn't spectacular enough to justify the price and queueing time.
As a confirmed carnivore I think if they put all of the ingrediants from both breakfasts in one it would be a winner...
You make a good point sir 😄
I love the accents...great vlogs.... go down market next time with the full English for the real experience 🎄
Earl grey should be drunk black. And as other posters have said try an English breakfast at a standard cafe. Truckers pit stops are the best though
Btw u can get veggie black pudding I think they do it at Waitrose, they also do veggie haggis.
Full English Veggie Breakfast is the best! So is a cup of Earl Grey Tea!! Well done guys - loved it! 💕
Loving how you love your food. Full English is always the way to go 🙂
That's a really good veggie option! I would try it for the craic.
Fun day! The Viking museum was terrifying! LOL
Love your videos, have a great Christmas from Tenby Wales
Well done for exploring York, I work there so it's good to see!
Happy Christmas!!!!!! 🎄❄️. Wishing you safe and fun travels from Springfield IL 🇺🇸
Ooh, love the chocolate place !
That chocolate place looks so cool.
Amazing adventures!!!! Thank you for sharing....
Tea and CREAM!!
Lemon with Earl Grey
Omg I love your videos !! We used your St. Louis video when we went to visit St. Louis !! We were just in the twin cities in Minnesota and thought you guys need to do a video for the twin cities !!!
Just a bit of history, Bubble and squeak was only eaten on Mondays as it was left over veg from Sunday roast.
The best full English you will get is from any "greasy spoon" a little local place or a truck stop.
You guys need to hit up Edinburgh again. There's some excellent food venues you missed last time. Merry Christmas!
If you get the chance you should visit Scarbough it's not to far away from York
Museums!!! Love museums 💕
Loving the videos have yous tried the north east of England/ borderlands of Scotland some absolute beautiful coastlines and amazing towns and cities with lots of historical and cultural points of interest. Keep up the great work! 👍👍👍
3:33 Good song.
Wouldn't it be easier to use a knife to cut your food?
he had to hold the camera in the other hand.
He should get a tripod then he can eat properly. I was getting so fed of of him trying to mash his food then stuffing massive portions in his mouth. Gross
11:14 I thought you said "Biking Museum" and I saw the skeleton and I thought.....must be the first biking accident victim.
Viking.
Wow. Went to jorvick as a kid in the 80s doesn't look like it's changed at all!
Next time your in York visit Castle Howard one of Britain's finest stately homes, it's less than miles outside York, check out there website.
The breakfast portion is big for my morning stomach. The big jug of tea definitely warmed you.
Yeah we almost never finish everything on our plate when we order a full english. It's pretty pathetic 😂
Did you guys try the yorkshire pudding wrap?
Blimey, that black pudding looked like it had been incinerated! It's only supposed to be lightly fried. Nice to see you back in the UK guys!
P.s. I'm a trucker guys....i would prefer either of those to a full english at a truckers cafe....don't want to clog those arteries!
The Masai Tribe in Africa drinks warm blood right from the cow's neck, so I guess the Brits have improved the recipe, but not by much.
You guys have a great channel, I would love to do something similar. By the way, did you find your phone in the end and what happened?
Ooh Whitby Abbey The Dracula tour!
If you want a real full english next time you're in England you need to stop at the Red Lion Truckstop in Northampton just off the M1 motorway. Its not a fancy full english like here, its a real working mans/truck drivers full english. No thrills, just a straight up truckers breakfast. oh, you are in my home city.... not a true full english, but i might pop in... saying that the ivy is just around the corner... Still in York? Try my friends Viking bar... well worth a visit
Hope you bought some Montezuma’s Geranium Dainty Dollops. The best chocolate in the WORLD.
Great video I hope you venture into newcastle my home city on your travels and try a stottie cake
Merry Christmas!!
Same to you!
A full English breakfast should never consist of asparagus. Well done guys find work hope you enjoyed England hope you got back safely
Milk and sugar Earl Grey is good. Whitby is good. Full English is great from a crappy cafe with kickboxing posters and tomato shaped ketchup bottles is good, but the best one I've eaten was in Australia. And it had asparagus. Your vlog, again, is brilliant.

No way!
Can you get the vegetarian breakfast without eggs if you don’t like the taste of eggs? Do they drink coffee for breakfast at all?
Yeah you can sometimes get a vegan one with wouldn’t have eggs! And people do often have coffee with breakfast here :)
Don't judge black pudding on that, the chef has cremated it. It should be done for 30 seconds on either side on a high heat. Slight crisp on the outside and soft in the middle.
Next time your planning an England trip you should try visiting the Isle of Man, not a lot to do but a place to visit at least once :)
We'll have to check it out! Thanks for the tip :D
Theres only 1 reason to go there unless you are rich ;-)
Nah you have to be rich to begin with to make any money here lol Some nice castles to look round, most known for the TT races but I recommend avoiding those 2 weeks, busy! Also Laxey wheel is a great view, and most tourist attractions are free in the winter :P
great videos guys

You should have missed our delicious nasi lemak for breakfast 😄
What's dat????
my local cafe does full english with toast and coffee or tea for just £3 that cannot be beaten!!!!
Those eggs are sunny side up wow
You can't judge sausages in the U.K. folks, as most makers have they own composition. Sometimes by area of the country. Some brilliant, some yuk!
did you go to the Yorvik centre?
Bubble and squeak…FOOD OF THE GODS!
That being said…asparagus wrapped in bacon is not part of your Great British Breakfast. Bet it tastes nice, but maybe better as a starter for lunch. That black pudding looked just right.
Full English! I'm fussy about those and rarely eat them! Eric, I thought you said Biking museum! Duh! Viking museum! Ha!
best to dip it in the egg yolk
I love how you guys pronounce Yorkshire haha. Im from South Yorkshire. Not much there, North is definitely better :)
HP BROWN SAUCE OR KETCHUP
