As to the gun the ejection port is huge compared to the original CZ, and the slide should be held back with the left hand around the forward end of the slide with the thumb behind the trigger... saves on accidental discharges during assembly/disassembly, and the hammer should be in half cock, the right hand used to help bring the slide back if your left needs help and then used to hold the magazines in a constrictor grasp, to hammer the pin out with the rubber floor plate of the magazine. On assembly the only make sure issue is that the takedown hole line up with the cam slot on the barrel, with a quick glance, or better yet learn to feel it. CZ75 design does not need or is it in anyway and advantage to a low bore axis. If you are proficient with double action first pull never put on the safety, but if you find the single action beneficial from round one (1) then carry cocked and locked. The Israeli DPM recoil spring is a good deal, as the initial slide rack is difficult for those with limp wrists or weak hands.., just use the CZ one. Any more and the mechanism prevents discharge. This ability allows it to be jammed hard into a body and still fire, when in close combat. This practice helps prevent gun snatches, is painful and intimidating to the opponent. It also enhances the wound effect quite significantly 1/3 to 1/2. A personal comment. As I actually use a CZ75 Compact (all steel and 32oz) for carry, and home personal defense. It is NEVER unloaded... however, around the house it should be kept without a round in the chamber. Why is safety and a person finding it and unfamiliar will have to charge by pulling the slide back. Carry use the round needs to be chambered with the trigger at the safety notch, 1/3rd of the way back, and OFF safety for first shot double action. And for first shot single action the round should be chambered with the hammer fully cocked and ON safety... cocked and locked.
