Wow! That is one nice Helvetia lantern that is made in Switzerland there Ken & a fantastic Christmas gift from the family!🙂 A beauty too & interesting globe on the lantern!🙂 Was an awesome New Years light up video for sure!🙂👍
Happy new year! I saw one of those on Ebay and liked the look. I'm not usually a fan of hot-blast lanterns, but those lifting mechanisms are just so neat that I want one! Looks like your family really went all out for you as that's a beauty!
Thanks and I know exactly what you mean about the hot blast lanterns I have to admit I myself am more of a fan of the cold blasts but this is probably the best example of having a great hot blast lantern 👍
Happy New Year, Ken🙂. A very nice addition to your collection Ken, they are rare. Swiss Craftsmanship: Helveta lanterns were manufactured in Switzerland, likely during the first half of the 20th century. Swiss products from this period were known for their precision and durability. Limited Production: Unlike larger brands like Feuerhand or Dietz, Helveta lanterns were not mass-produced on the same scale, making them harder to find today.
Dear Ken, you are off to a great New Year with that Helvetia, I really admire your basement den. For me I have an Imperial Motor Industries car/coach oil lantern to restore including replacing the glass. And I am branching out into old lighters and on the look out for carbide lamps. All the best Philip Sharp England.
Happy new year to you Ken and a special thanks to the man behind the camera also. This is a fine looking lantern and must be the one of if not the bet burning flame in your collection with its wide and flat flame.
Wow, Ken! That’s an awesome looking lantern. And kudos to your family for giving you such a special gift. How did they know? Anyway, it’s in good hands now. 👍🏾 Enjoy 🔥!
