This is the most honest video on TH-cam Growth I have watched in my life. You shared the real thing. Most YT growth creators don't know these. They are constantly copying and making you come back. I watched your coding video when it had around 1 million views, and it motivated me to continue coding as someone from a non-technical background. Putting in 6 months before the actual launch and virality is crazyy. Indeed nothing good comes easy. Thank you so much for this short TH-cam course. I would start writing my script in full, and start cutting unnecessary stuff. Going viral is not luck please, It's a mix-up of strategy, effort, and timing. Thank you Tim.🥰
I looked at this video and thought, what am I doing with my life... I worked 7-4 five days a week, didnt manage to save one dollar. After this video i changed my mind and want to have a fun hard journey to my future life. Now I am starting coding and programming, and training just like you did here on this video, thanks for the inspiration bro!!!
What makes your videos unique and original is your honesty. It might seem strange, but honesty is what truly attracts people. Your videos aren't the type that provide false hope, like those claiming, "I became a full stack developer in just 2 weeks," without mentioning years of prior coding experience. Instead, you emphasize the importance of determination and motivation in achieving goals while also sharing the difficulties, periods of depression, and learning resources you encountered along the way. Keep up the great work, boss!
I'm really glad you mentioned that, my goal with these videos is to provide a clear roadmap to anyone else interested in the subject. I always want to be transparent about the ups and downs of any journey. Thank you for the support!
Super impressive dude. Been following since your coding vid, and you really don't see channels grow in this holistic fashion nowadays. Most content creators purely gear their videos towards the capacity to go viral, which is understandable given how YT's algo currently works, but I think the intentionality that's gone into your style and overall strategy is gonna do a lot for your channel's longevity. Best of luck man!
Loved the coding vid, you are probably the only TH-camr that can explain his learning journey so well and give sources that helped you. You’re a good dude and it shows, you deserve all the support. Keep it up man I can’t wait to see what you’re going to do next!
bro, you deserve a million. I appreciate what you're doing, keep UP the good work. I ran into your channel 15 minutes ago, and I'm definitely subscribing!
Just watched your coding vid. Ngl, I clicked on the video for the sole purpose of disliking it, all for being a "learn x skill fast!!1" video..but I was so pleasantly surprised by your content. I just wanted to say, thank you so much for posting authentic, informative, yet still entertaining content! Please keep it up! The most untapped 'niche' right now on youtube is AUTHENTICITY. People are tired of the fakeness and sell out channels on social media. It is truly a breath of fresh air for you to give real advice. Definitely have to sub for the authenticity alone. Please don't change. 😭😭
Thank you! I promised myself before I started this YT journey that I was never going to embellish anything I do. My main motivation is to provide as much value to others as possible. I promise you that I will always keep it real 🤝.
@TimKimMe yeah I watched your bboy video for fun, I don't even dance or sing for that matter. You're a genuine guy trying to learn like everybody else, showing no fear is inspiring
@@J35Y1 His video is actually still my main motivation for learning! I have not started my python learning yet bc I have a surgery coming up but I think about his channel every time the thought of learning coding comes up! He seriously left an impression on me subconsciously. Inspiring dude!
You are doing great man. You are my mentor in SE. currently at my 8th month In ALX boot camp but I am completely lost. And now on TH-cam u are also someone who I look up to. Congratulations
@timkim Your 'how i learnt to code' video was what brought me here. I am also a software engineer and at the time your video popped on my TL i was feeling so overwhelmed in my Tech journey😢. But after watching that video, i saw how you structured your learning process and i copied that same structure. And honestly, my learning pace has increased dramatically in the last 1 month. That your video was all i needed to keep my head afloat. Thank you Tim Kim! Thank youuu 😊🤗
I just stumbled across your “how I learned to code” video and ended up binging all the others! I understand how you must’ve felt in the start when you didn’t get any great feedback that was the same with me! I Commented here cuz I kinda saw myself there lol! But let’s just keep working on our TH-cams everyone ! I wish your channel grows more it’s awesome :)
Thank you so much. I know, getting negative feedback is always tough but it def made my videos better! For sure, I'm not the type to get discouraged and quit 🙂. I hope your channel grows too!
The number one thing I noticed was how few videos you have with soo many subscribers. Truly a my favorite part. Honestly if I decided todo something similar, I don't think I would post a video every day as it doesn't feel like it would contribute as much.
For sure! I knew from the beginning that I wanted to focus on quality over quantity. A lot of the advice for creators these days is to "make as many videos as fast as you can" and I honestly think that's the wrong approach. I want to focus on making content I enjoy which takes a bit longer sometimes.
I love the amount of research, effort and trial and error that went into the whole process. I have been making videos and building my TH-cam channel since 2015 but i feel like my growth has been pretty slow. I definitely need to re-strategize my video shooting process!
Man thats alot of hardwork you really put into the videos, what a great job and work ethic. What made me even subscribe to your youtube channel is your video on how you got a job in tech after four months, that's what drew me into starting to learn how to code and become a web developer and actually change my direction and career in my life, You are amazing and Thank you so much Tim.😊👊
Sweet video bro… I’ve always been curious about how much TH-camrs make off their videos. I’m glad you included the breakdown of the proportions from each aspect of monetization. Your old friend John from EC
Inspiring content, i love that you're prioritising quality over quantity. There's so much rubbish. Your videos are education, engaging, and authentic. Love it.
Thank you! It means a lot that you noticed haha. I put a lot of work into making sure that every video I make has a ton of value but is also engaging to watch. My goal is to make sure every piece of content I put out inspires in some way while teaching something.
Yo this video slaps! Thank you for sharing your experience. I’ve also been trying to start my channel for many years but never got around to doing it. This video really motivated and informed me of what the journey could be like so thank you!
great video! My only question was where are you getting your animations / motion graphics from? I know it's a service you're essentially selling now but can you share how you went about getting the work done in your videos?
Yup, there are actually a ton of great editors and animators on Twitter showcasing their work. Just contact one, provide a scope for pricing and test a couple of them out.
Hi I just wanted to ask you are you still working as a Software Developer / Engineer? Do you also have Linkedin? Is it possible to connect with you? Thanks for your time.
Hi brother, thanks for video! I am fronted dev (vue.js) from Ukraine. Now i am middle, but have dreams- growing my yt channel. I work and study a lot and even though I work in IT, it is not my dream life. Now I shoot educational videos in my language (Ukrainian), my audience is shrinking because of this. And educational videos are not as popular as entertainment ones, it is frustrating. Tell me please, what do you advise for my niche? Is it possible to upload videos with coding and also philosophy and my life in parallel?
Hi brother, I believe there is always a market for educational video! If you think about the best educators in the world, they're good at keeping the attention of their students. Some of my favorite YT channels are "edu-tainment" where they mix entertainment and education. Just because your videos are educational doesn't mean they need to be boring. I would find ways to weave in stories and entertainment to make your videos both educational and more marketable. Best of luck!

How should i reach to you?
I am also a new YT creator of a gaming channel. Love from India.

useful TH-camrs have less subscribers then unessery bullshit TH-cams.. that's not fair you guys obiously deserve better
How did you create all the motion graphic art?
I hired someone.
So You invested a lot of money even before starting the process ?
How can I get money from yt?
WHAT is b roll?
Google: B-roll is supplemental footage that's used in video and film production to enhance the main footage, or A-roll, and tell a story.
