@@henlo1910 And the argument that Watsons line is unhealthy isn't valid either. Flacco dealt with multiple injuries to his offensive line and lacked the benefit of being in this system. Dude was on his couch waiting for a phone call. Watson looks like he's physically fat backed with pain out there, he is not physically there it feels to me. Definitely doesn't have the maneuverability in the pocket we saw in Houston.

Watson is tired of running around.
Kevin can solve this by throwing Sorsey'a shotgun playstyle into the trash and reverting back to his west coast, quick pass PA offense.
It will help alleviate the pressures from the pass blocking while allowing your big guys up front to play to their strength and push forward instead of back pedaling.
Utilize a 2 TE system with Njoku/Akins while getting the receivers involved with the occasional deep shots followed by PA and quick shots.
Watson excelled at this and so did the offensive line. It's the only shot they have at turning this around.
Cuz All defenders have to do is get home to the QB in shotgun and they turn off the oven.
Hope this happens for them tomorrow in Philly. 💯

Watson is definitely not the ONLY problem with that team, but to pretend that he isn't a pretty substantial part of the problem is pretty delusional. My Commies just played this team, and that offense is the most uncreative offense anyone has seen at the NFL level. I'm not exagerrating. I could see it, but we have several local commentators who watch a ton of tape, and they were all taken aback by how simple and predictable that unit is. Stefanski does NOTHING to give his players a shot, and I think we have to ask ourselves why that is. Does Stefanski not know offense, or is he deliberately simplifying because his QB isn't studying.
Watson can't throw accurately. He isn't the athletic mismatch he was early in his career. He isn't game managing or learning the offense well enough to execute at better than a high school level. Is he still crazy talented and will complete SOME passes? Yeah. Of course. So was Bryce Young. Simply put, Watson is making BANK regardless of whether he tries hard or not so...why try? He's looting the Browns.
Ultimately, that team won't experience sustained success until Haslam is gone, but I do agree that it's time for that team to realize that they're better off admitting that Watson is killing them, benching him now, and at least giving Stefanski a chance to show whether he deserve to stay with Jameis Winston. You have 11 games left to evaluate Stefanski and the other players on the team. But you can't fairly evaluate them with Watson at QB.
In 2014 (I think...maybe 2015?), Washington started Robert Griffin after an extended injury, and was forced to bench him. When asked about it after the game, HC Jay Gruden called Griffin 'non-functional'. The basic message being that Griffin was SO BAD at running the basic play that it made everything that the other 10 players were trying to do pointless. Every route was on the wrong timing. Griffin was taking the wrong depth drops for the protections. Gruden liked to design plays with zone beaters on one side and man beaters on the other, and Griffin couldn't identify zone vs man, even when it wasn't being disguised, and so worked the wrong side much of the time. Non-functional was a pretty apt description. He was so bad, you can't develop or evaluate anyone else on offense.
I believe Watson is a VERY small step from being non-functional. The only reason I don't think he's quite there, is that Gruden did alot less to simplify for Griffin than Stefanski is doing. If I were Haslam, I'd let Stefanski bench Watson, but we're DEFINITELY not cutting him so he can go and earn more money.
