Totally agree with you, retaining all the MK1 grooves and dimples, especially the "accordion" chassis legs are the way to go. Wish we got Jetta coupes where I'm from.

He has some nice video's there with engine sound of that monster 3.6 !!! Just totally wicked what this guy has accomplished in his garage to this level. Everything so damn clean and well thought out. Good to hear the story behind it in English - my french is not the best 😃🤣 Really like the radio delete plate .. The "music" definately comes from the engine bay 😘 Nothing can beat the "Wookee" sound of a VR6 .. Unfortunately VW stopped production of that fine engine with generation five in the Golf.. The last of the REAL "R" .. 😞
