Oh trust, these actors are musicians. Like the actress for Lilia is a Broadway legend and the actress for Alice studied the piano for at least 11 years. Not to mention they all sang the actual songs.
So the specific reason they got Rio Vidal as the new witch....was that they asked for Advil (an anagram of Vidal)...also note when Rio appeared one of them said 'My Lady'
Or, maybe it was not the curse, it was probably Rio who YEETED Teen, because Rio was KIND of anticipating for TEEN'S body, that's why Agatha said “Don't”, like don't take him, cuz she's Lady Death.
I know they planned it, but having the song that played backwards was brilliant it breaks her the protection her mother created even as it starts the trial simultaneously.
18:30 look at Alice's hands, she is literally using protection magick on the piano to kill that curse once she really gets into it, which i think is really neat. (Orange waves coming from her hands)
I like the idea (my theory) that "Mr. Scratchy" is actually her son. Perhaps Rio couldn't bring herself to kill Agatha's son so instead she transformed him into the rabbit and altered Agatha's memories because everybody had to believe Nicholas was dead, because as she said it was her job so she needed to convince the universal forces she had done job. The name "Mr. Scratchy" is an unconscious way on Agatha's part to never forget him and why she has such an attachment to the rabbit.
They weren’t casting for singers, but wound up with main characters who are all fantastic singers by coincidence. Even Joe Locke just did a fantastic 3 month turn in Sweeney Todd on Broadway between tv shows.
Jen was a root worker (people who practice Hoo Doo) and a midwife which was very important way back when as women tend to not survive before or after pregnancies and Agatha having lost a child left her alone as she could relate to those women as wicked as she is. Alice had a Generational curse (like an allusion to Generation Trauma) and I hope we find out who cast that curse and Laila's vampire story could be a Blade easter egg 🥚.
This was the third (not second) version of The Witches Road we’ve heard on the show. The first was in the opening credits of “Agnes of Westview,” sort of a downtempo blues version sung by a man.
Agatha was also humming it in the opening scene of her driving to the crime scene, but I don't count that since it's not a full performance - so I agree we're at 3.
I think Agatha is intrigued by Teen without knowing exactly why - and her protectiveness of him appears to be an instinctual reaction. She seems confused by that behaviour as well. Subconsciously she is probably hoping it's Nick, but she doesn't seem to be able to bring herself to fully confront that thought. Rio knows her well enough to understand where Agatha's head is likely at, and tells her (what I think is) the truth. And I really think Rio was trying to be kind, not letting Agatha get caught up recreating their history by addressing what was going on. Yes, it hurts Agatha a lot, but Rio seems sad afterwards - whether from having to hurt Agatha again or driving her away, or a maybe even a bit of both.
I am waiting to binge Agatha, then I will come back and watch your reactions for it. Just dropped in to say I am looking forward to Deadpool and wolverine… i come by every day looking for it 👍🏼
Here's the thing I don't get in real life, why do people believe death is evil or from hell? Death is a necessary part of life. Death is not evil nor is Death good, Death is simply a universal inevitability.
This entire cast is sooooo 🥵. Like I'm a gay dude but why am I feeling things rn man. Especially Kathryn Hahn surprised me cuz I love all her work but she's never been this level of sexy to me goodness gracious
@@ot7biasedmashups Same. 100% gay man, but I'm constantly doing double-takes on Aubrey and Sasheer. It's telling how good the make up and costumes are in this show when in the first episode, they had Kathryn looking run-down by life as Agnes of Westview, then last episode she is ON FIRE!
Well.. he did get mortally wounded, stabbed in the gut with glass from a “broken window”..? That seems worse than a burn.. he’s also not technically part of the coven. No coven = no curse
@Persephone_Personified great point! I didn't think of that! But again, the glass in his stomach was an incidental result of the throw, a consequence rather than an aimed result. Maybe the magic/curse/demon couldn't go as far because he's important- I'm only theorising lol
@@Persephone_Personified Remember what alice said in episode 3, Lorna thought the curse afected all womans of the family, it would madke sense "Teen" didn't get burn.
They keep messing with Joe's Beautiful hair! Why do they have to make him look so weird? I don't think she actually traded Nicholas for the book. I think he died, and she took the Darkhold to try and bring him back, but the rumors spread, and she let them to build up her reputation as a way to keep them away.
So far it's shaping up to be Loki level good. Ofc watching wandavision and multiverse of madness is necessary but so far it's actually even better than Wandavision.
@@ot7biasedmashups you don't need to have watched them. I haven't (but I know SOME of the spoilers from them) I'm picking up more stuff than my friends who are marvel geeks actually! I just parse what I'm seeing instead of trying to make Marvel connections. Having a Marvel geek to ask questions of is better than knowing it all yourself I think. The two shows we watched together were cool because we were noticing different things

The teen got thrown through glass by the curse before they ever started playing. That's when he got the cut.
I was assuming they meant Switzerland as in staying neutral
Yeah, that's my read too... Agatha is suggesting a truce in that Switzerland dialog and Switzerland is a neutral country.

Ali Ahn the woman who plays Alice, studied the piano when a kid and even did classical music competitions.
If she is death it’s even funnier bc like Thanos is trying to get her to notice him and she’s hella sapphic so he never stood a chance.

Everyone's flirting 😘 with Death(Rio) even you, Glass came from window when Teen went thru but guitar pushed it in further.

Thank you, Derek! 🧙♀ Patti LuPone is such an iconic stage singer, it's a joy and a privilege to see her perform in this.

Thanos

It could be because Teen is not officially a part of the coven on The Road, so the curse could not affect him that way.

“Not just regular kissing” 😂
I was waiting for the kiss too 🤣 ...it's the same vibe with Doctor Who 15 and Rogue 😅

She was not in Switzerland. She meant that as a term for being neutral. Since Switzerland was neutral during WW2.

OK... the real mystery is... where the hell is Lilia finding all the instruments while standing in the middle of the room?
A new Marvel TV series? I've never heard of Agatha All Along, is it Loki level good, or is it closer to Disney Acolyte?
