    For me it’s the Aquanaut! I bought the Aquanaut and have no regrets. I got it on the bracelet and was told I could easily buy the clasp and strap from PP. The bracelet is really nice on the Aquanaut too.

    Hi Tim, great comparison as always. I like this format of presentation. Watch-wise, nothing beats the 5711 blue. I love this watch and I truly think this is the nicest looking watch in the history of horology. Cheers

    I've owned both, sold the 5711 when the prices got ridiculous on the secondary market and the Aqua was getting most of the wrist time. And Aqua on rubber, not the steel bracelet. The Royal Oak 15202 has the best integrated bracelet in horology, followed by the new GMT Jubilee and then the 5711 bracelet. everything else pails in comparison for fit, finish and comfort

    That is so cool that the numbers glow and not just the indices. I’d sooner go for the Aquanaut as a regular day to day timepiece. I’ve not had the luxury to hold these models in person but all the feedback has been 100% positive.

    Something I've always wanted to see. Big fan of the Aquanaut, fell in love with it after noticing Paul McCartney wearing his in an interview, I believe Ringo was wearing one as well.

  • @yd992
    @yd992 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Great video, love your comparisons. Interesting to see so many positive thought on the Patek's. I am a big fan of them but I do have to say that they are quite underwhelming at the given price range. Its like the Rolex (using their reputation, no innovation, restricted supply) of their price class... The bracelet on the 5711 has one of the worst clasps I have used in a long time. Opening and closing the claps is one of the most painful and unenviable acts ever. Not sure how at +25k sports watch can have such a bad clasp. The 324 SC does not feature a stop-seconds, which is something you would expect in a modern sporty watch (and honestly, the big rotor does not look good either).

    I love these versus that you do. I have to lean more towards the 5711, not just because it's the crown jewel in my collection, but because I love it's simplicity. If you don't know what it is, one would just think that its just a regular watch.....no unnecessary attention.

    I love my 5167a-001 in every way the sportiness, size, lume, rubber strap and how it's a fly under the radar timepiece. The only issue I have is the wide deployment buckle pinches my wrist when closed which is a bit uncomfortable.

    Hmm. Genuinely, flip a coin on these two pieces for me. Love em both! Love the refined and classical styling on the Nautilus that still manages to be down to earth. Love the utilitarian and bold styling of the Aquanaut that still manages to convey its luxury heritage. Love the dials on both, love the straps on both. I'd be a very happy man with either on the wrist!

      Yup. Tommy Nautilus is growing up fast, and he's got brains and class but he's got his heart set on the ivy leagues and it's gotta cost a fortune. Suzy Aquanaut, his younger sister is more level headed, but she just wants to teach Ju Jitsu and climb mountains.

    super designed and perfect sized watches and you really do want both... but there are 2 quite large problems (excluding the price) 1) non-hacking 2) having to cut the rubber on the aqua... these are hum-dingers for me... but If you don't mind that, then these two watches really are the 🐝 knees.

    I went for the 5167 and love it. Couldn't spend that much for a rubber bracelet watch so went for Steel bracelet which is good but not as good it s supposed to be for a Patek, it's below Nautilus and far below AP's
