In today's video, we are upgrading our 2018 Nissan Titan XD from the factory Pro-4x taillights to the 2020+ factory lights. These new style lights are an easy way to enhance the look and visibility of the truck from the rear. The OEM lights have a superior look to anything currently found in the aftermarket. The swap takes only a few minutes and requires only a 10mm wrench/ socket or phillips screwdriver.

When are you going to install a putco LED tailgate bar
Did the tailgate top cover come with the titan word filled in like or did you do it?

Harness is different but are the plugs on the new harness a direct fit? Plug n Play?
The new harness plugs directly where the old ones did with no modifications, if that's what you're asking
Please show how all the connectors separate and how many hold downs are taken off. I usually just break them off and use zip ties to put them back on. If you have to pop a clip out, turn it with a screw driver, or squeeze it with pliers it would be helpful to see you do it. Don't assume that I know how something comes out or apart or how it goes back in. It isn't turning screws that messes me up, it's when there isn't a screw to turn anymore and it still isn't coming off that I start breaking things. Thank you.

@@4KMotoring I'll bet. The experts just want the highlights and the less mechanically inclined want more details.
I think you actually did a really good job on how you took us through the whole thing and I would definitely watch more from you. You kept it pretty balanced on the level of detail and covered everything that needed to come off in a way that wasn't too advanced for newbies and wasn't too remedial for the more advanced. Not everybody can pull that off.
Do the lights already come with the updated wiring loom or will that be separate? And if so, would you happen to know where to find?
Mine came with the necessary wiring, but it was also a used set. Not sure what you'd get if ordering new

The reverse lights are the only part I'm not as excited about. Some Aux reverse lights would be very helpful. Luckily the upgraded backup camera does well in low light!

You know the bulb size for the tailgate side lights on the original tail lights I can't seem to find anything bout them anywhere 🤔
The new units have sealed LED pods in those locations, but I believe the factory tail lights that came with my truck used a 194 bulb. Use code 4KMOTO at checkout over at auxito.com for 15% off some of the best LED replacement bulbs available for these trucks.

Wish the second Gen lights would fit in the first gens. No good aftermarket lights for them.

I just found a set on eBay of used lights. Z1 Motorsports has some on their website as well.

Headlights are a bit more complicated, but very doable! Morrimoto has a good video for it
Got mine installed an like the looks but that backup light isn’t LED and if it is it’s the weakest LED I’ve ever seen. Wished I hadn’t sold my originals.

Brake, tail lights, and tailgate utility lights are solid state units and not swappable. The rest are.

From your local dealership if you want to pay full price, or you can usually find a set of good used takeoffs on eBay for a substantial discount
Z71 off road has them brand new and marked them down several months ago to around $360 a pair with the harness, got a set myself.

@@4KMotoring No. I just noticed you said the Titan and Titan XD. 2:31 Maybe just the Pro 4X and Platinum models have that function.
@@danielk0106 I may have misspoke, I believe it's just standard on the XD models with the built in gooseneck hitch.

@@danielk0106 there is a relay under the hood for it, you can pull the relay box and see if you have one installed in that location and that will tell you if your vehicle has it lol
The originals look so much better.
The originals just didn't seem to have the brightness of the newer style. The newer ones are overall more visible and that's definitely important to me

I have used different tailgate bars in the past with varying success, I have not looked into any modern ones to know exactly which route to go in that respect
