Our neighbor got a Brangus baby calf. He loved Brutus, and Brutus LOVED his owner back. Brutus behaved more like a spoiled puppy than a calf. When his owner/dad left for work each morning, Brutus chased after dad's truck, with Brutus, of course, inside the fence that ran along the roadside. Our fence cut him off so he stood at our corner and cried. My children gave him bowls of milk to comfort him. When his dad came home in the evening, he knew that truck, and would chase the truck home. Their "reunion" each evening was so touching, so sweet. We watched brutus grow, like yours, into a 1200 pound bull. His behavior was still similar with some of the mooing of pain when parting, and just as much or more affection, petting, head scratching, and so on.
