Your trip to Menchhukha is excellent one and very interesting. Yes, myself and all my ancestors had played a very important roll when first time adventurous migration took place during early part of 1720s A.D. onwards. The actual name of this entire valley is known as "BACHAKSHREE" and not as MENCHHUKHA. This name is Airfield's opposit side of the River Yargyap Tsangpo.
The other name as per Drukpa Kagyu's Encyclopedia is "NENANG" means hidden land or inside Shangrila. This valley is a Sacred holy valley part of the the 2nd largest Pilgrim of Tibet known as the Great TSARI situated between KONGPO, DAGPO region. The Bachakshree hiden land was opened by the Drukpa Kagyu's famous Yogi or Lama Mipham Lodroy Gyatso. This valley was blessed by the Guru Rinpochhe and Khadro Yeshe Tsogyal during early part of 9th century. Hence, you are lucky enough to entered the holy land though you may not be aware of the history of this holy hidden Shangrila. I know the history and many things to say but, you may not be interested to know the religious topic. Hence, I better stop my comments here. If you find any interest, you can ask me as many as questions with regard to Bachakshree valley.

As per my knowledge, menchukha is not a part of tasri pilgrimage, taksing , mighyitun, longju , gelensinak in upper subansiri district of arunachal pradesh are the parts of tasri pilgrimage which falls under lhoba (tagin tribe) areas. The holy river tsari chu join the mighty river subansiri ( sinyik in local tagin language and chayul chu in tibetan) in gelensinak. Even the holy mountain dakpa sheri fall in between border of upper subansiri district and tibet.
Pls can you explain further here .. I m really interested to hear from you ... N many menchukha people wants to hear as I m from menchukha n how do you know .. few words I agree .. we called ourselves nenang too

As per our oral tradition by fore father...Lama Lodrye Gyamtso had visited in our place...and Thang Thang Gyalo visited....
Barang Shik is my forefather land...
And we are Kongpo by desedent as per our forefathers orally history'
Beautiful Mechuka, thanks tenzin donsel for doing this beautiful video, I was there in 1989-90 as a Tibetan army. One of the best place on the this planet 🌍. I really want to go there again, it’s on my bucket list. Have a fab time. Ask for Ama Gyakpa, she was was quite popular during my time there😃😃😃

So lovely an edition Donsel la! Waiting for the next part. Well, I thought you were heading to Tuting, when you said you had arrived at Pashighat (sorry for the spelling). For me, it's a novel revelation of there being such a tribe in such close proximity with Tibetan culture, other than Monpa in Arunachal Pradesh, for Pemakoedpas are Tibetans originally migrated from Eastern Bhutan. And, yes, your being there in person can be taken as a milestone etched on to their hearts, to be cherished forever with the memory, as the bondage buttressed up by your artistic talent. How they can be aware of your being that versatile, the repertoire of Tibetan performing arts embodied in one person! Thank you so much for this beautiful edition, and, especially, for being there with them.
