Meet our Professional Training Manager Mason!
Mason began his dance training at 17 through the Centre for Advanced Training Scheme at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance (NSCD). He graduated in 2016 with a BA (Hons) in Contemporary Dance, receiving the Carolyn Woolridge Award for outstanding performance. After graduation, Mason joined NSCD’s postgraduate company VERVE and became a dancer with Black Box Dance Company in Denmark in 2017.
Mason toured Europe and beyond, performing works by renowned choreographers like Tim Rushton, Fotis Nikalaou, and Jason Mabana. He is passionate about teaching and community development, choreographing for youth dance since 2015, including the NSCD CAT Grad Students and the DAZL EXCEL Programme, which represented Yorkshire at the U.Dance Festival.
