Heading down to St Pete Beach for a short holiday. There was a storm right over TPA. Started the Go-Around and then decide to keep going and then go around. It felt a little sketchy. My girlfriend was not pleased. After the go-around, we flew to Orlando (MC) and parked at the airfield for an hour.

That engine sound was incredible… looked scary though!

I had this yesterday on a re-run en-route to Gatwick airport. I wondered what the noise was, absolutely gives you the chills…Now I’m re-watching videos of re-runs on TH-cam😂
The IAE V2500 is something else sound wise. Almost like a mini RB211

Go around is the wrong term. They're not going around. Go arounds are done in smaller planes in vfr conditions, airlines fly instrument and the conditions are instrument. So this is a MISSED APPROACH procedure NOT a go around

@@deankaren9237then that’s silly, cause someone who can identify wind shear by cloud pattern and a go-around by the sound will absolutely have counted the rows fore and aft to their primary and secondary egress, and will probably be able to warn you of incoming flight turbulence 5min out based on cloud patterns

You can actually see where windshear started to occur it took 3 seconds and the plane was so close to the ground

Poor guy. I'm also terrified of crashing, which is why I'm perfectly fine with going around and trying again. LOL (Honestly, watching plane crash and incident videos on here has done more to mitigate my fear of flying than anything else. That and the fact that my best friend lives about 2000 miles away.)

Fascinating isnt it, how compared with the throb and thrash of a piston engine, the continuous combustion of the jet just gives you a discreet whir🙂🤓

I went through my first ever go around. It scared me because I wasn't expecting it. I let out a little yelp. I was so embarrassed. But we landed safely.
Same 😂 we were landing in New York and they did a go around I was scared 😅 the visibility was bad .
Guys this is Not. A go around, it's a missed approach. Go arounds are done in smaller planes in vfr flights and conditions. This is an IFR flight in instrument conditions hence it's a missed approach procedure

That landing looked like it could had been smooth, but I guess windshears aren’t worth risking people’s lives.
You can't see out front and how far off the intended path he was.
This happened to me flying a Boeing 737 sim. Never got a warning. Barely made it off the ground

I saw a C-130 hit some Wind-shear when it was over the numbers. Pilot did a go-around and landed on another runway. It was a clear day also.
Ya, you can see a self cloud. Thank God for LLWAS. It has saved many planes.
If you ever find yourself wondering if you should just execute a missed approach, the answer is pretty much "Yes".
Been on 2 flights that did a go-around. Didn't notice anyone unduly nervous about it. Annoyed me more than anything. As an ex-smoker who's still hooked on nicotine, by that point in a flight my thoughts are just on getting somewhere I can hit my vape as soon as I deplane.

TPA is not a fun approach at all during sketchy weather - Be thankful for the go around - Been there done that several times on biz trips to Clearwater/St. Pete... \m/

Take off and landing are most dangerous period of flight. Add in a rain storm and you’re upping the risk even more. I can’t be flippant in such situations.

In all the times ive flown ive never experienced a go around. I did experience brakes on fire when we landed at Gatwick in the UK.

I was in something very similar in 2012 when i was coming back from New Delhi to Kolkata… i was just 11 and was very scared of the unknown.

It doesn't take a pilot to know that they were going around.
Look at the sink rate from the direction of water flow on the window, you see the water stream directing upwards until the go around when it starts to stream aft
