  • Let's take a game room tour of a great thing too happen in the last few years. The Official Video game Rerelease. Retro Bit being one of the major players responsible for licensing and reissuing official releases of games for the first time in the West or other like I am 8 bit rereleasing anniversary editions of famous retro games. From cult hits like zero wing and trip world. To hidden gems like Rendering R2. The official reissue of old retro games is definitely something this collector gets down with.

My man, Shadow of the Ninja is so good! The gameplay and the music is really amazing. I played the pirated japanese version back then because we didn’t have access to original cartridges and it was called Kage. Also I recently discovered that Natsume is doing remake of it. But I am not a big fan of new art style. You can find trailer on TH-cam. Thanks for the video!

Luke, keep it up buddy, I was thinking about how you said you weren’t a big “shooter” fan, and I thought to myself “I said that about JRPGS a few years ago, and now I’m obsessed with the classic Final Fantasy Series”, all spurred by my love of Pokémon Red/Yellow and FF7, then I realized that I’ve always been a JRPG fan, I just didn’t know it.
For the last few years the only games I actually played were the N64-Switch Zelda Titles, mainly OoT, then last year something clicked and I started salivating over a bunch of NES and SNES titles, and even though I’d grown up with an NES, I hadn’t played anything on it in years. I’ve never been one to discount retro gaming, but I’d pretty much planted myself in the N64/PS1 era, which is still retro, but not NES-retro, ya know. Suddenly I realized how much I loved 8-bit games again, after getting back into Pokémon late last year.
Now I’m going back through an entire treasure trove/backlog of 8 and 16-bit games and it’s very exciting to know I have years of entertainment ahead of me, and I can comfortably ignore the modern gaming scene. The older I get, the less I care about next gen systems, I just find modern game design bland and lacking charm.
Anyway, happy to see your channel growing, your videos are consistently entertaining, so I know you’ll keep up the great work dude! 😎🤘

Absolutely love your comment my friend and I completely agree. Game design feels so stale how many collectathons or open world games can you play. NES and snes games have so much more variety in there ideas and I really miss it. You can find some of this in indie titles still though. I highly recommend full quiet if you haven’t played it. Phenomenal new homebrew that got a ported to modern consoles last year. It’s nice because you can always bounce around too. So far this year I’ve done ps4, Xbox 360, Genesis, and now ps2. I hope you can check out some of the fan translated rpgs in snes and nes too. A lot of gems we didn’t get. And ty for the kind words!

@@LukesGamerRoom I really wanna play the fan translation of FF6, and I’ve heard that there are other great Square SNES RPG series that have fan mods/translation, anything square from the 90s and I’m all in now.
I will have to check out full quiet too, I know ow what you mean, there are some genuine banger throwback titles getting released nowadays. I actually grew up with a genesis too so I’m revisiting classics like Vectorman and Maximum Carnage, it’s just such a blast that we get to travel back to those special times in our childhoods through games….
I know your channel is going to take off dude, I can feel it.
Sorry about the 9ers, at least your local team isn’t the Texans, they manage to disappoint for decades on end so far 😂, but our QB is bad ass so we may have a shot next year

What the hell is wrong with companies releasing games that can LIGHT YOUR SYSTEM ON FIRE?! That's craziness. The Super Double Dragon rerelease is also not playable on the original console, only on clone consoles. SO STUPID! Those IAM8BIT releases were a total ripoff. I concur though about Retro Bit...their releases are high quality.
