When driving was fun, relaxed and friendly. Had a 2cv and two Dyanes in 70s, fab on summer days with roll back roof, simplicity, all needed from a car, no digital nonsense, so glad I experienced those days, seem like a dream now. Progressed to DS and CX via GS, all lovely cars with character.
In the early 90's a friend went to a former Soviet Airbase to see of they would sell him a Dnepr. They did then asked if he wanted the 15 old war surplus bikes in crates. He did not ask what they were, bought them and hauled the Dnepr and 15 crates of motorcycles then 15 spare parts crates in one of those. Took many trips and yes they were Harley WLC bikes. Would not believe it either if I had not seen his hoard... Down to 6 I think, Kinda hard to communicate with him at the moment...

I had a 2CV Charelston in the 90's. I had a Renault 19 16v at the same time. All I drove for a summer was the 2CV. Totally loved it.
I miss seeing the 2cv on the roads
Really would love a 2cv. Really admire the designers,remembering that the original design dates from around 1935.They entirely re though car design.
