Yes, insects and fish are Animals, they are in subcategories under Animalia aka Animals. Chances are really high if something is a "creature" to you, it's an animal. Even some of the things standing around on the ocean floor that don't have land-animal-like anatomy at all are still animals; like anemonies, barnacles and sea sponges. The things in the abyssal zone of the ocean that look like aliens are also animals. So yes, common fish are animals. Bug-like crustaceans in the water; like lobsters and crabs, are animals and so are land bugs. The research hole of just how many things are animals is massive on an existential-crisis-inducing level. Don't make me go get my entomologist aka insect scientist mom for bug examples next
