Wow, Luke seriously has a self-destructive pattern of going off on his own and doing the wrong things for the right reasons. We saw it even before Noah came on (like Luke threatening that Keith guy who was blackmailing Lily), and lately it's been prevalent: Luke stealing the election, trying to destroy Brian, breaking into Elwood's room... he has to mature and realize he can't do whatever he wants in the name of justice. It's really lucky he has calm, rational Noah to balance him out.

Yes Luke, you adorable little lunatic, just tell Elwood everything that you are planning. He's so lucky he's got Noah, who must have the patience of a saint. I agree with the school of thought that says Reg took the drugs himself - no-one made him take them. Really, the story should have focused on the whole effects of drugs themselves - the potentially fatal consequences they have and the pain for those who are left behind. I miss Reg, he was an awesome character. :(
Okay, I already commented here before (fawning over Noah, unsurprisingly ;)) but I just wanted to add that while I disapprove of the lame storyline, I'm really glad that the displays of affection are so much more common now. I mean, Luke and Noah holding hands or saying "I love you" or showing affection in other ways is happening nearly every show, now, and it's lovely - and still special every single time despite the fact that it's no longer a huge, monumental (and rare) event.
Luke really, really messed up with that election thing, now he needs a crusade....some way to make himself feel like he's still living....he's a mess of course.... It's this Luke that we see till the end of the series...he's wrecked his own life...now he's in fix it mode....but he's only trying to fix everyone around him....real Luke does show back up during the housing thing...but then the kidnapping...
I'm not surprised. Luke is being irrational just thinking that he already knows everything and not thinking about getting the proof necessary first even though it makes sense as a very likely possibility from his point of view. He's a doer who doesn't think about the consequences to an extreme.
