IMHO, JLin is playing the best basketball of his life. He no longer recklessly attacks the basket at full speed, he uses craftiness, changes in speed, and reads the game so well that time seems to slow down when he has the ball. His play is so much more efficient now. And then once in a while he’ll just blow by his man just to let everyone know he’s still got elite quickness!

Haven’t watched JLin since his NY Knick Linsanity days, seems he has added mucho moves and dishes to his repertoire. In this game, he consistently found the open teammate cross court. I like to see more diversity in the NBA. Go Hawks!

Agreed. A perfect example is at 2:09. He passed up a wide open 3 behind the screen to settle for a 2 pt 20 foot jump shot. Even for eFG% purposes he should shoot more threes. If he shoots 35% from 3 pt range, it is better than shooting 50% from 2 pt range just because of the fact that a 3 pointer is worth more points.

If you go back and watch that 6 game stretch (aside from the Toronto game winner and a couple of other times), he rarely hit 3's despite averaging over 25 pts a game. I was really hoping he worked on it more during his offseasons. It's sad that this was the one thing most likely to have held him back from being a 20ppg all-star during his career.

He knows people are going to charge into him on purpose, he should learn to maintain a good posture and take the hit without getting injured. The defenders will stop doing it eventually. Flopping will earn him more charges and more hits in the face. Other players will continue to think he's a giant pussy. Standing his ground all the time will earn him the respect he deserves. If he's able to, maybe he should dunk on his defenders really hard a few times and highlight reel them. That'll make them soften up for sure.
