      Imagine if Trae did that pass. The commentators would be praising Trae for being an amazing, smart, high IQ passer.
      But it was Lin so they barely spent 2 seconds talking about it. LOL

      basher basher I think there is an element of “show the Asian guy he doesn’t belong” from some players and from refs. Not sure if you remember the season when Carmelo did an upper cut on him and Kobe literally punched him and never got called. It took a Chinese lady viewer who wrote a letter to the commissioner that finally the refs started making more foul calls on flagrant II fouls..

    • @michaelyang3910
      @michaelyang3910 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      ludacris33 you can’t keep blaming it on that. Throughout his career he’s been known to be inconsistent even when (and sometimes because of) he was getting consistent minutes. I think he does get fatigued when playing extended minutes that it affects his play that’s why his best season was coming off the bench with the Hornets.

      kenny a Lin needs to think of himself first as the scoring option. Otherwise, he won’t get his points which is what players ultimately get judged by. Nobody cared about the 80% of shots Kobe and Carmelo missed as long as they scored the 30 points. Even if they took 40-50’ shots to do it.

    He hasnt been hitting 3s. They didnt trade him. Not good signs. His career is running out of time. He’s too humble now. He should be scoring 30+ with 10 assists a game like during Linsanity (he was also his teams’ high scorer in HS and Harvard). His mental game has been f-ked since leaving Knicks. Sad to see. He was building back up to 20+ games in November but got injured. Sigh...

      C K it was dantonios offensive
      Scheme. Turn Nash into a two time MVP and most likely Harden as well. Agree that he needs more minutes though in order to show he can still ball.

    • @nofurtherwest3474
      @nofurtherwest3474 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Well your comment was kinda sad to read. Maybe he'll just be a solid role player for the next 7 years. Nothing wrong with that, but yeah I'd love to see him lead a team through playoffs.
      How do players improve at 3 - find the right trainer? He needs to find that secret that Curry has.

    • @CK-zp8tx
      @CK-zp8tx 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      no further west I guess the way to hit 3s again is to check his form and keep shooting until he finds his groove. It’s hard to practice while on the road and during season.
      His natural game is like Magic Johnson’s. I see that in Lin: unselfishness, sharing the ball, the vision to find the right pass at the right time, all while being able to drive in and beat his defender. But Magic knew when he had to score and be the alpha dog. Lin has trouble being the alpha dog.
      Going to Houston with Harden hurt him. He should have been more vocal to get his own space to play his style even if leading second team. He’s too much the “listen to authority” Asian.
      When he was w Lakers, Kobe abused him and further f-ked w his confidence. Don’t forget his racist coaches.
      He was doing well In Charlotte and I thought he made a mistake to go to Brooklyn. He was coming into his own there and had a good partnership with Kemba Walker.
      Nets started out well and he was the alpha dog making a big difference w a rebuilding team. He nagging injuries kept him from reaching his potential and then they traded him after the big injury.
      Upon more reflection, maybe it’s best for him to be at a team like Atlanta now so that he can rebuild his playing and confidence. He is at his best when he is involving his team mates while being a scoring threat.
      I’m old enough to be Lin’s father and my own son is a top athlete in his sport so what I hope for Lin is also what I hope for my own son.

    • @CK-zp8tx
      @CK-zp8tx 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Clarke Ortega I just wish he would get back on track like he was in November. You saw him really building his momentum. He should make those who keep hacking him during his drive pay by elbowing them or knocking them back. Lin’s bagging injuries are due to repeated hard fouls by defenders.

    • @nofurtherwest3474
      @nofurtherwest3474 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      C K saying he should be scoring 30-10 is I think unrealistic. That’s saying he should be one of top scorers in nba just because he had a string of high scoring games. It would be awesome if he did but I don’t think anyone would say this is failure.
      Interesting breakdown u give, thanks for that. You have followed him closely, esp the mental aspect.
      The hawks seem to be doing well. Do u think they could make the playoffs?
