Gotta love that impatient car at the end! Always cracks me up. Driving down Stockholm and making the loop over Ostend (which people seem to be doing in almost all of your Baltimore videos) takes about as long as waiting for a train to pass.
These are the empty refers headed back to FL. For awhile, CSX didn't tell Tropicana they were putting a block of intermodal on a train that Tropicana was supposedly paying to have as exclusively theirs. The trailer block was being put on in Philly and taken off before the train reached Bradenton, I think Jacksonville. Tropicana eventually found out about the "piggybacking" on their exclusive train and it ended for awhile, so maybe CSX gave them a deal to allow the trailers back on the train. They changed their own equipment handling rules when they started doing this to allow the empty refers to operate at a maximum of 60 mph with the intermodal cars, instead of 50 mph for empty cars.
Nice..... had to do some homework to figure out where you took this. You were at the parking garage at the corner of Worcester and Warner Streets ??? Good vantage point to see quite a lot..... by the way, was this the same one you caught at Dorsey Street ??? The other thing I was thinking of with this...... Ladder 49.....
yep! my old spot to film around here was right along that street down by the tracks, but they put up that chain link fence which makes for a terrible street-level view ;-(. i had to find somewhere else, and the garage offers a great view! i try to limit my time up there, so as to not become too 'suspicious'. and no, these were completely different trains filmed on different days. same train symbol, though. (i still want to say 'flight number" haha) yes, ladder 49 was filmed a few miles beyond this view
I take it standing in the back of your truck for an ''over-the-top-of-the- fence'' view wouldn't work...... oh well. ''Still want to say 'flight number' hmmmmmm....... now why would he want to say that ???? hmmmmmmmm........ I think it has something, or someone, to do with USAir.....hmmmmm. Yup.... saw ''Ladder 49'' when it came out, same with ''Backdraft''..... video, soundtrack on both.
Sasha5991 good thinking!! I did take several vids standing in the back of my truck there, but the fence still covered the bottom half of the trains. have to park on "this" side of the road and film across it. no parking/csx property on the track side of the road :-(
sheesh...... picky, picky CSX...... yeah, I know what you would say - ''gotta' obey the law'' -- silver bracelets are nice, just not THOSE kinda' ''silver bracelets''. Well, at least you got a good video, and we get the pleasure of viewing it. That is always appreciated..... ;-)))))

empty Tropicana cars?..thought full cars ex FLA were brought up as a "UNIT"...empties returned back to Tropican on any train.
nope, they're brought back as a unit (back end of the intermodal train, 141)
So they are emties
Tommy Scanlon yes.
Great catch!
