    Reminds me of the BeEazy feet on my scape. Elevation of the scape Works great for sand too. Luv the content bro keep doing what you do 💯

      Makes sense even with sand... allows critters to get under there and clean it up.
      Thanks for the kind words!

    Great video. I do not run a bare bottom but elevating your rock like you did would be beneficial when you have sand since detritus collects around the base of the rocks in the sand. Elevating like you did would do a lot to keep the sand cleaner. The tank looks great btw.

      I agree! I am not against sand beds, and may or probably will have tanks with sand beds in the future, but something like this would help with sand bed tanks too since they require a lot of extra attention and care to keep them clean.

    Id say this is one of my fav bare bottom tanks. One of my main things that i dont like in a lot of bare bottom tanks are that they look sooo dark. No light reflection like what white sand does. But that doesnt appear to be the case with your tank and i think that is because of the panel lighting.

      I think you're right with the panel lighting - other led lit tanks look very dim and shadowy. This has the T5/LED combo appearance, plenty of light, low shadows but still a little bit of shimmer.

    Do you have to use frag rock to hold down the coral?

    Setting up a nano bottom less soon. Im done with sand 😂

    Pro Tip: Add a thin film of silicone sealant on the bottom of the little frag rocks and let it dry before you use them. This gives them some cushion against the glass as well as some grip.

      Awesome idea! I will have to try that.

    Could you please tell me evrything you dose in the tank, how often you do water changes. And what par the acros at the top get. Sorry for all the questions 😅.

      @NBurgReef  ปีที่แล้ว

      No problem. I am working on vids that will cover all but here you go: Dose ESV 2 part, sodium nitrate, and add a very small amount of manganese and molybdenum but probably not enough to really do anything. I read they were good for Goni's so thought I would add a little every water change. I do about 20g water change a week which is around 10% or so using instant ocean.
      Acros at the top probably get around 400 micromols of PAR, but that was based off a quick measurement at the highest point in my photoperiod. Also, not sure if my seneye is accurate, so I don't know how much emphasis I would put on that.

    My bare bottom tank creates huge sheets of coraline on the bottom glass that was impossible to clean off well around rock work. How is yours so clean?

      I scrape it like once a month or so with a blade where I can reach. I am afraid as my colonies grow, I won’t be able to reach everywhere. Already can’t scrape the back bottom glass

      I don't think anyone will argue that a nice clean sand bed looks awesome. For me, its just too much work... after about a year, sand beds get to be detritus sinks, and grow algae within days of cleaning.
