Nice one. For sure some crazy ones here... For me, they can be inventive with the interior design of the place, but when it comes to the food, plates only please, the nutritional value and the taste are what's important! And you're right about the newspaper, the ink is actually toxic, you're supposed to wash your hands before touching any food after reading a newspaper. So the food having contact with the ink is a definite no-no. I don't think they even serve it like that in the UK anymore.
Thanks, Mike! I agree with you. There are many ways to be creative with the decor, but it doesn't make sense to make the dining experience worse for patrons by giving them poor replacements for plates. It's also good to know that my instinct to avoid newspaper-wrapped foods was correct! By the way, I didn't forget about the German chocolates. The Bunter Mix has already arrived. I'm just waiting for my mom to have a chance to film the unboxing and taste test with me. It's taking all my will power to resist eating the chocolate by myself. 🤣
@@amyslittlebigworld Haha! Looking forward to the video 😄 To me, the strong point of Ritter Sport is the combination of the broad availability (you can literally find them in pretty much any supermarket here, only Milka chocolate rivals that), together with their vast assortment of flavours. The supermarkets will always use a sort of "display box" provided by the brand, where the different flavours are stacked in sort of a staggered way, as if they're sitting on bleachers. And in there they tend to easily have about a dozen flavours or so (of the normal-sized variety of course, 100g, not the small ones). So you can find pretty high-quality chocolate almost everywhere you can buy food at. And then the way you fold them in the middle to open, that's just the cherry on the cake.
@@Mike500 How interesting! Yes, I was pleasantly surprised by the assortment of flavors, too! Most of them are completely different from the chocolates we have here. The one I'm the most curious about is the Cornflakes flavor. 😋
@@amyslittlebigworld Hehe! It's all pretty good. But you should see their special flavours, like "Groovy Crunchy Brezel": Brezel (i believe you call them pretzel) pieces in milk chocolate. Or their "Crunchy Duo" ones - half the bar is one flavour, the other half a different (but related) one, for example Milky Macchiato & Crunchy Coffee. But your flavours are all the base flavours that you will always get, no matter the time of year.
@@Mike500 Mmmm! The Crunchy Duos sound really unique and tasty! Hopefully, we will try all of them one day. 😂 Thank you so much for making these great recommendations! 😄
😂😂😂 "obstructing access to the food" Cotton candy brains 🧠? For zombies? Food should not go into a toilet before eating it, gross! I don't think I want to dine out now 😢
I was surprised that some restaurants think these are good ideas. 😅 It's ok though. If you want to dine out, there are still restaurants out there that will give you a normal plate. 😂
