Yes, most of the time I spray water mist on my palette to keep it moist. Thank you.

Technique varies from situation to situation. For some thinner application I use water to thin down my paint. But use directly sometimes for a thicker texture as well. Thank you.

Sir how much time do you take to make one portrait tell

It depends on the subject and size of the canvas. Usually a small portrait may take around 3 hours but may goes up to 30 hours as well.
