- Hello! I built the history of the tallest buildings in the world in Minecraft, so I built each next tallest building throughout history! This took me over a month to build so I hope you enjoy!

Fun fact: did you know that both the twin towers are actually not the same height from roof height

Willis Tower was my favorite skyscraper as a kid, I got to see it once while in Chicago and had the lego set of it, and more recently got to visit it and the skydeck on a band trip, it's really cool to see it in Minecraft!

The most impressive skyscraper remains the Empire State. Built at the height of the Depression, tallest building for 40 years, and to this day within the top 10 tallest in the US
It really is impressive! It was also super fun to build, and definitely an awesome place to visit in person

The Sears tower definitely beats the Petronas Towers (and possibly the Taipei 101 Tower too). The whole thing about antennae not counting to height while spires do is because they are “removable” and “not architecturally significant” which does not make much sense because any part of any tower is technically removable and the antennae are very architecturally significant. It’s even worse because I think that the organization that decided this list is from Chicago, and they chose this dumb building height metric instead of something more reasonable like highest occupied floor ore just pinnacle height including antennae.

The antennas on the sears tower have been adjusted multiple times, which is why they are considered removable, but the spires on the petronas towers have never and will never be removed or changed. th-cam.com/video/9kLx9pXVJlw/w-d-xo.html this video explains it well.

Good video and commitment, I have a suggestion, why would you limit yourself by vanilla build limit, you can change it up to 1024 so your buildings may look more majestic. The tutorials are easy to find since after 1.18 update
(Personally I actually really want to see some 320+ blocks high mega builds, but can't find many videos about it)
I actually did use a datapack to make the builds 1:1 scale! Sorry for the confusion :)

4 years ago I was one Week in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, and we visited the Burj Kalifa in the Burj Al Arab we had a very good Meal and in the Biggest Mal of the Emerates Mall of Dubai. It was hot there 50C° at Midtime 12:00 in the Afternoon.

Sears Tower was going to be even bigger but since the faa put a limit on its height. They scaled back its size, the faa sucks big time.

You forgot merdeka 118 with the height of 678.9 Meters is as known the world’s Second tallest building in the world (if people are wondering this text is from Malaysia? yes. In Malaysia’s biggest state)

Thanks! I used Bobby for the increased render distance and world edit of course, along with the normal fabric mods for shaders, but all of the blocks and textures are vanilla!

You could watch the sun set at ground level, get in an elevator. Go to the top floor, and watch the sun set again. It’s THAT tall.

If you count from lowest floor to top(excluding antennas or spires)the list would be:
1971-1973: World trade center
1973-2004: Willis tower
2004-2008: Shanghai World financial center
2008-2010: Burj khalifa
Yeah, Taipei 101 got there bc of the spire. I built the Jin Mao tower in another video too, and I also want to built the Shanghai world financial center

Thanks! I do build them on Java edition, and I know there is a way to convert them to bedrock edition but I don’t know specifically how to - maybe I can look into an easy way for viewers to convert the Java world to bedrock

For height limit I use a datapack I found on planet Minecraft, and for render distance I use Bobby

Nicely done, as I don't do this minecraft' stuff an I right in saying every block is 1m x 1m . And did you put individual blocks to build , what is the max height. And how long did these buildings take .
Thanks! Yup, one block is exactly one cubic meter. I used different mods to speed up the process mainly for repetition, but all of the individual details I built by hand. Maximum height is usually 320 blocks, but I used a datapack to increase it to 1024. Each building took about 3 hours, some more.

Well even tho the new World Trade Center is the same height I wanted him to use the new one because at now time it’s the sixth tallest building in the world Becuase the spire is not removable so it would be higher than the sears tower and the other twin towers making it the 3rd tallest building in the scale.
You forgot the tower Merdeka-118 and it's located in Malaysia, the second tallest building 👍
I actually only built the evolution of the tallest buildings in the world, so which building dethroned the last one :)

@@ItsMeMx im not really good at explaining but looking at the north tower relative to the south tower, the south one should be more back and less on the left, whereas you put it more on the left and less behind the north tower.
it's a minor mistake anyway and i really appreciate your dedication, i just noticed that because im a wtc nerd.

About 3 hours per building, but some like the Burj Khalifa took a lot longer

I only built the history of the tallest buildings, so only if it was the tallest at some point in the world, perhaps I could do something to incorporate other structures too

For the North Tower, the spire wasn’t part of the height, meaning it was just 2 meters taller than the south tower

Yup, I used world edit and axiom to help with the build process. I actually don’t know how to use structure blocks at all 😅 I should definitely learn
Yeah, structure blocks are a bit confusing. You have to get the x y z coords to make a square around a structure😅even MORE complicated since I play console😭😭

For both the WTC and Sears tower, the Antenna do reach higher, but because of a technicality the Petronas Towers Are taller. I agree that they shouldn’t but that’s just how it is

The Petronas Towers are technically taller, but when you look at them it’s clear they are shorter. However, pretty much all documentation of the tallest buildings says they are taller
