This girl is ultra-talented ! Me and our kid met her after the gig at Leeds Brudenell,several years ago,had a wonderful little chat and she GAVE us some 12" vinyl. It really was a memorable evening.
Her music is really elegant. A little resemblance to early Madonna but without the commercial feeling.

I first heard about Shura after seeing this last week. Just had Jools on as background noise (as yer do) and then suddenly I was like 'what is this amazing voice?'
Just heard this girl for the first time on Jools Holland's Later,quite beautiful,reminds me of Roisin Murphy at her best.Must find all about her.
Went to the gig last night ,it was fantastic and included "free" vinyl and a photo with Shura and "my kid". Can't wait for the next time!!

That's what I thought, it's just a speed up version.
Bit more musical than Four Tet - the guy can't keep a rhythm to save his life, which was curious when he was playing with a jazz drummer (name, sorry, forgotten) like the timei saw him in Heidelberg. I actually left, it was so jarring.

I just love Shura's sound, but as I see this live performance I'm not so thrilled about it. It's like someone trying to sing this in karaoke... I still like their music but she needs to work on that live singing for real
