Daniel, again a Cool video with great background music as always. Loved this route although too scary for my nerves. Missing the hikes as I nurse my injured knee. Hopefully be back in the mountains in a couple of months. You cover South African hiking routes in a cool way.
Looking back I’m actually so glad I didn’t do that section 😅. I personally know more than one person who have fallen doing this kind of thing, with serious consequences. It really puts one’s reality in check. A fall here would almost certainly be fatal. It must also be noted that Drake and Bill are very good climbers and Daniel has a lot of experience on the mountain.
Absolutely, it's so important to give these routes the respect they deserve, and to accept that a small mistake can have devastating consequences. Even with that experience, the exposure here was a real test of our mental game - chuffed we got up though! And that we found you and Campbell safe and well as well :)
