    The sticks you find on the beach are the best! Really happy for Max there!

    I spent several times in pender Harbour last summer. I usualy anchored off Maderia Park. Love his spot. Protected and lots of locations for supplies and places to explore. This is a great jumping-off place for Sckucomcuck and Jervice Inlet. Princes Louisa is a jem on our West Coast..

    GSavary looks so nice, if not a bit exposed! I've gone past it a few times, but never stopped. Hopefully next time.... Great video! Looking forward to your Princess Louisa videos!

      it's an amazing spot in calm weather! this was our second time stopping, but there were a lot more boats there this time than in the winter when we were there last. Such amazing beaches though! The perfect summer stop.

    Holy Max at 6:30!!!
    I think the two scenes where you are sitting against the mast and on foredeck with your coffee mug are the best.
    As for Logan jumping in the water to clear the prop, well cudo's to him, Brrrrrr.
    Too bad for that fishnet laying down there.

      I wish we could have pulled the net up and taken it with us something be disposed of, but that just wasn’t in the cards. It was def a big surprise to pull it up!

      @@WaywardLifeSailing I am sure you thought about it but those nets can be huge and they are heavy!
      Definitely kept you from dragging! :-)

    Hey Guys ,,, just wanted to make a suggestion after seeing you get that crap caught up in your prop shaft and prop.
    There are a couple high end Prop Shaft line cutters that will cut and shred anything that wrap you up. I'm guessing you guys are on the hard at some point this winter ?
    If/when you are one of these is great investment for not having to swim at that most in opportune times. Cheers !

      @@WaywardLifeSailing I have the Piranha 2 piece model on my Bruce Roberts 345.
      It's paid for itself already with 2 instances. 1 was a net I ran over and I heard the motor RPM's stutter for 5 seconds and when I looked back I saw the pieces floating up
      the second time was my own dumb mistake when a bow line fell over and got caught up and it was a little scarier moment. It stalled me out and when I noticed what it was and yanked on the line it broke loose.
      I did the same as you did with my GoPro and saw it wrapped there. The water in Lake Erie was brutal cold and no way was I swimming so I took the risk and turned over the engine and it struggled for a couple seconds to start but when it did in neutral I put it reverse full throttle and it spit the remaining pieces out in front of the bow. So ya , I swear by them.
      I got mine at Retmarine in Maine

      @@SailProMarina hmm good to know. Will def do some more research into that cuz the waters around here are also usually very cold! We got lucky that day.

    that was another fine episode so thnx for that.
    just a random question that popped into my head.
    of all the bays. coves. harbors, inlets, etc. that you anchor in...is there always a chance you could throw in your crab/shrimp trap or toss a fishing line and catch something? or are some places just totally devoid of that kind of thing.

    • @WaywardLifeSailing
      @WaywardLifeSailing  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Most anchorages have crab, but a good chunk of the places we go are RCA’s or rockfish conservation areas where you aren’t allowed to throw a line in for anything. Prawns and shrimp are in deeper waters so not usually in places we anchor, but sometimes not too far outside of the bays 😌

    Just wondering why, if you went all the way to Cortes, you didn't go into Gorge Harbour? Best anchorage anywhere.

    • @WaywardLifeSailing
      @WaywardLifeSailing  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cortes bay is shorter distance, east to get in and out of, great mud holding and usually not very busy!

    Did the stick make it to the boat?
