Good choices! Other candidates: 1. Lee Van Cleef in The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly 2. Gene Hackman in The Quick and the Dead 3. Brian Dennehy in Silverado
How about Hugh obrian in the shootist he was the only one of the ones John wayne confronted who can handle a gun the others just wanted to confront him.
Wrangler: Most of the list is just right. However, I really disagree with Kelly being on this list. Why? Despite being an outlaw, underneath it all he was honorable. How? Remember he allowed Johnny Gannon ( Richard Widmark) to have a fair fight against Tom Neal. A better choice from Warlock? Anthony Quinn. As he died he said to Henry Fonda, “You still can’t beat me” ( the draw). Fonda only won because Quinn was drunk and missed hitting him.
In the quick and the dead gene Hackman’s Herod is another crazed fast gun.

Love the list, but Gene Wilder as Jim the Waco Kid, in BLAZING SADDLES, is my choice!

Henry Hathaway should’ve been jailed for the cruel way he treated that child in that scene with Elam.
No children were harmed in the making of this movie until January 05, 2025.
Gotta be sarcasm. Surely.
