- This is a review of an affordable Battery operated, wireless, remote controlled, dmx or wifi controllable up light from Shehds lighting. These lights are great for DJs and anyone looking to add some ambient lighting or dance lighting. Uplights enhance the look of any room and help in bringing everyone into the party atmosphere. :)

does the DMX only work wired or is there a way to tap into DMX using the built in wifi, not using the phone app?
Thanks for watching. Yes it does work with regular 2.4g wireless dmx transmitters.
@@KrisSzanto how?tried adj wifly and chauvet dont work
Anyone knows how this works? Using wireless DMX?
Do you know to get the QR code for the app?
"LED Lamp" is the app for this fixture.
Is there a way to use the wire less dmx opption to the chauvet wireless transmitter the unit have only colors to match not Numbers.
The unit has a 2.4ghz wireless receiver. So any wireless dmx transmitter should be fine. Not sure what you mean by colors to match, not numbers. 🤷♂️
Thank i for the answer can’t get the Chauvet transmitter to work but it has difi so that s another protocol I guess and the adj has wifly
@@tomwassum568 have you been able to use these shehds uplighters via Wireless DMX? What transmitter do you use?
@@JensDeinze hi used the generic shehd wireless transmitter i worked with these lights
@@tomwassum568excellent. Thanks for your feedback!
How the heck do you get these lights to connect and respond to the app??
to operate this particular light with the app.
1) Scan the QR code on sticker on light or the QR is in the help menu on light.
2) On the Lamp, go to shows > 5. Wifi and turn on. Will give you something like "led_132".
3) iPhone settings > wifi and find that wifi network just as you would any other wifi and connect to it. You may lose connection if you were previously connected to wifi, just use cellular data.
4) Head back to the downloaded led app, pull down and now should see found icon, in my case it was "led show"
5) You should now be able to control it. If you have more than one light go to the led app settings icon and then Code I think.
6) It will give you an address, something like 200, set all other lights DMX channel to that, address = DMX channel.
7) Click the little button by the led indicator (usually blinks red) on light to activate slave mode and the light should change to the master light color. Continue steps to connect more. Only one light needs to be the wifi master.
Will this also work the same way with an Android phone?
It should, I just happen to have iPhone.
A mobile DJ needs real-time music visualization technology. The technology needs to be as intelligent as possible so that the DJ can focus on the music and the electronics do their own visualization of the music.
Hi, I checked out your channel and see that you have been working on such a technology. Can you send me more information on it? Curious to its applications and how it is triggered. Email me if possible kris@bydesigndj.com Thanks for watching and commenting.
One of mine almost caught on fire. Be careful with these.
An uplight did? Or one of these exact ones? I have heard stories from others about some less expensive brands from China. I own approximately 30 different uplights and moving fixtures from China and thankfully no serious problems.
@@KrisSzanto The Shehds one did. I removed the battery and it works fine with normal power. Glad you haven’t had any problems
@croissantproductions That's scary. Do you have multiple units? Curious of the the situation... was it in use, charging, not even on, inside, outside, hot or cold?
@@KrisSzanto They sent me one to review. When I recieved the light it worked fine. When I plugged it in to charge for the first time, that’s when it sparked up. They sent another one and it doesn’t have any issues, but due to that problem I hesitate to recommend these to anybody. I’ve only seen it happen to mine though so it must not happen a lot
