In all honesty; Butters and Kenny should live with Liane Cartman with Eric living with Butters' parents. Eric needs a heavy-handed dose of discipline and tough love whereas Butters and Kenny need love and kindness.
Its genuinely heartbreaking seeing poor kenny cry in the kfc scene, poor kid never gets good food and the one time he was gonna get kfc cartman ruins it
Kyle and Stan are basically 2 sides of the same coin, they’re both considered the “moral compass” of the entire show. But their parents probably influenced which side of the coin they’re on. While Stan relies more on his compassionate gut, Kyle gives in to his emotions a lot faster. Kyle’s quick anger can probably be attributed to his mom, and Stan’s compassion can be attributed to his dad. Though both of them have done stupid things, and things that can be seen as bad, for children, they’re both doing pretty good.
Some of Cartman's deeds are funny or even clever like serving burgers that have been in his ass as assburgers then making a profit. But the serving parents as chilli thing that's not cool... And that's a understatement
When it comes to Kenny, you forgot about the time he bought his little sister a doll & looked out for her as his alter ego Mysterion during the time the McCormick kids were in an abusive foster home after his parents were arrested for having drugs.

However, Butters also makes mistakes and does sometimes act like a sociopath thanks to his weird choices, but often tries to make up for them. Kenny is just the only normal kid out of all of them
If Karen (Kenny's little sister) was on this list, she would be right above Butters. Not much to say about her, she just seems like a shy & innocent little girl.

It would be interesting to see how he survives his horrible home life and learning to take proper responsibility for himself and his siblings. It would also be satisfying to see him get better grades in school and a better life than Cartman
I think kenny mcormick is the most good character in south park. Even more good thank butters. Kenny is completely selfless and he's willing to go to extremes to help people out. He's really good to his siblings, and a good friend. He also saved the entire world and the future multiple times.
Honestly I agree. Even though Butters is by nature very sweet, forgiving, and helpful, the fact is that he *can* be manipulated. He may not be "bad" for this, because at the end of the day it's possibly his coping mechanism (or age) but he's not using a moral compass or sticking up for himself to do better until the damage is already done. It isn't until later (like in the Christian Rock ep where he finally says "fuck you" to Cartman at the very end for being a little shit) that he finally stands his ground, but he still plays so much of a hand by being manipulated (even outright saying to a customer "we're not really christian, we're just pretending.") I would say his naivety and somewhat outright stupidity definitely doesn't make him the golden boy. He's still waaaay better than majority, that's for sure.
Actually in the episode with Cesar Milan, we see Eric's mom isnt just "blindly loving him" We see she is very aware of Eric's problems and seeks to get help (albeit very unhealthily via reality tv shows) and then eric finally becomes a well behaved boy. But then when he is, and is one a track to become even better, Eric's mom realizes that she has no friends, so instead of healthily pursuing her own adult friends, she destructively works to make eric behave worse again just so she can selfishley have a friend with eric instead of the relationship of a son, which is actively ruining his life.

Satan is really chill in Southpark. Most of the time he really isn't evil at all and most Mortals are worse in almost every way. On the other hand... I mean I've read the bible trough and can't stress enough, that most of the times, the devil there is pretty chill as well. I mean compared to fucking god, the literal devil appears to be like pure innocence. My conclusion is, if a God exists, and he is as described in Judaism, Islam and Christianity, Satan is certainly the nicer being and hell shall be the place to go to, I want nothing to do with that Monster described in those holy books.

One of the "worst" things Satan has done is to tease god, that Hiob would only worship him, cause he had all (so god kills his whole family, lifestock and takes anything he got. Damn, Craig is in the grey area. I'm pretty sure he is way nicer than that priest dude. Unlike other SP characters, he actually went a character development after being with Tweek and is most likely one of the least violent boys currently, especially compared to Kyle.
Am I the only one surprised that they ranked Kyle so low? Yeah he’s got anger issues but he’s still the most morally upright & openly compassionate character on the show. Plus he’s normally a great brother to Ike, when he’s not kicking him.
Professor Chaos is pretty evil. There was a time where he went into a Bennigan's restaurant and SWITCHED customers' soups. How about THAT one time where he turned on a garden hose and NEARLY tried to flood the whole world. This character symbolizes pure EVIL...
None of the main characters are saints, but while the boys usually try to do what's right and keep their malicious deeds harmless, cartman straight up collects atrocities like he has a quota to fill 😂

I feel like Craig's character should have had some redeeming mention on how he handles Tweek's anxiety in 'Put it Down'. He is very caring and patient, maybe the creator hasn't seen that episode?
Especially how in the beginning he tries to get rid of the problem but then later realizes that’s not how to handle the situation and fixes his own behavior 👌
Kenny is definitely the most well-rounded character in the show. He's got so many traits and aspects to his character while being a pretty average kid (taken in context of course cus this is South Park im talking about).

ngl seasons 19-21 were absolute shit. I hated how nice Eric was and how it was all political. I also hated the fact that nothing was ever happy, every time something good happened something else came and made it sad again and the boys had a hell of a lot of arguments and didnt seem to hang out anymore. Ik that the creators made it to where they could change a lot and it was something different but it just didnt seem like south park anymore. Also all of the adding to the plot which made the episodes 3-4 episodes long got boring. Im just happy that south parks getting better and that the boys are getting their bond back.

I think Kenny's parents should have been in the gray area because even though they are drunk, they still love and care about their children and try to suppprt them. For example, when Kenny wanted singing lessons, Carol took him to Europe to get him some even though their family is poor.

butters and kenny are the two characters that are genuinely kind hearted and selfless, and they always get the short end of the stick. it makes me so sad to think about how much pain kenny must be in every time he dies. but he continues to be a good person. in the mysterion episode i’ll never forget how he was coming to his own house in costume threatening his parents to be better, to stop drinking/smoking. like that’s so messed up. he also told kyle that he thinks he’s the smartest kid in their class. kenny is such an angel and i’m so glad he got to go to heaven to escape his immortality curse and live with hot women for eternity. with butters, i mean talk about depressing. “falling asleep to the sound of my own screams” comment, his mom trying to kill him, and being sent to conversion therapy. why do they torture the best characters :( tweek also makes me really sad because it’s just straight up neglect. his parents make meth coffee and test it on their son. i mean what the fuck. this show makes me genuinely sad sometimes, it gets dark asf
I feel like mysterion helped his family be better. his siblings are supposedly treated better and have allowances, he has his parents stop fighting Infront of them and helped with their addictions if I'm remembering correctly

Here in Colorado there’s a place called South Park with a big sign with Cartman, Stan, Kyle, And Kenny waving at you with welcome to South Park. Small town but I highly recommend it if you ever visit Colorado
There's a Route 666 in Pennsylvania. I drove on it once, but I didn't see any pictures of Cartman on the side of the road. Maybe I just wasn't driving there long enough? I really don't know.

Kenny is also super protective and loving towards his little sister, Karen. He created Mysterion to be her protector, and he goes to intense lengths to assure that even with their crappy lives, Karen feels safe and protected.
Kenny is definitely more level headed and has matured along the way. In the early seasons, he had some sexual, wild fantasies but it has toned down throughout the series.
Cartman actually has one episode where he does good without there being something in it for him. When the town bans cats, he hides all of the cats away in his basement. This episode always surprised me because he actually did something good with no ulterior motive.
Are we gonna pretend that this dude didn't just put Lu Kim on the good side? He isn't even Chinese and he tries to kill a Japanese when a sushi place moves into town. He also manipulated butters into robbing a bank and then called the cops on him. He isn't good at all lol

Jack Pickup alters have their own different tone of voices and behavior patterns it’s confusing, but the way southpark portrayed the disorder was kinda offensive because swapping personalities doesn’t go that fast but South Park is known for the offensive stuff so it’s alright. Jessica is salty about it but the rest of us are chill with it
Wendy and Kyle definitely need to be ranked higher than they were. They are two of the most morally stable characters on the show, and their anger and aggressiveness towards others is usually justified, especially towards Cartman.
I think Wendy should be ranked at the high end of the gray area or low of good characters. At least before Randy. Randy killed many more people than Wendy. She beat up cartman because he was making fun of breast cancer and only uses violence or meanness for standing up for the right things.

Tbf i think Kenny deserves the top spot. Where Butters is super nice i feel like that more just his innocence while Kenny has had more heroic actions and seems to be friends eith literally everyone, protecting his little sister and all, all while he has this horrifying curse of always dying, feeling the pain but always coming back to die again

Kyle is WAY better than Gerald and I'd say is on equal terms to Stan. The main difference between Stan and Kyle, is Stan's becoming more and more like his dad, like when he made that PSA about anti-bullying, he wanted fame and fortune. Kyle on the other hand is becoming more like his mother, often saying what's wrong with doing/saying X thing and why it's wrong. Even to the point other kids get sick of his speeches.
I know that Wendy’s personality was messed up in the first seasons, but the fight with Cartman should have put her in the top 3 of the good characters 😂
The one thing I love about Kenny is how much he loves his sister and whenever he gets his first paycheck he uses it on her and how as Mysterion he protects her
So I totally disagree with a few parts of this list: 1) Mr. Hankey is a racist who leans on his valium addiction to justify the horrble things he does on social media. He goes off on people and is incredibly judgmental. He should be lower on the list. 2) Gerald is a sick troll who needs to be evil; more evil than PC principal who is at least TRYING to do good (although unsuccessfully). 3) Wendy did one really evil thing in the first season by getting Ms. Ellen kidnapped and killed, she really should not be put in the neutral category for that, especially given the behavior of a lot of the characters in the good list including Mr. Mackey. 4) Mr. Mackey, while typically good, literally plotted and attempted to murder a child (although that child was Eric Cartman). 5) Other than being judgmental and delusional, please name something truly evil that Strong Woman has done. 6) Shelly is typically pure evil. 7) Sheila Broflovski does things to massage her own ego, looks for things to get mad about, and then champions causes in order to gain power over others (I mean, she started a suicide slingshot in an episode in season 1). Furhter, this self-righteous egotism has manifested itself in her son and his own self image. 8) PC Principal is not really evil, just self-serving and misguided. This can be distinguished from characters like Sheila B who are trying to make a better position solely for themself; PC Principal clearly lives his life by trying to help people (even if his attempts to help people are misguided and based corrupted by a strange hodge-podge of white guilt and white privilege). 9) You said no monsters, but you included Eric Cartman. 10) You should have made Seaman #1 just for the laughs.
Yeah, this guy seems to be very unfamiliar with more recent seasons, unfortunately. It is hard to put a lot of people in South Park on the good list. Even the better ones have an episode or 2 where they go dark, including Hankey and Mackey. As for the Wendy episode, yeah, though, to be fair, the Wendy of modern South Park is really a different character than she was in season 1. Still, I can't think of anything exceptionally bad from Stan or Kenny, so you are on the money there. Kyle is mostly good, though his association with the Crack Baby Athletic Association, and his bullying of other Kyle, are lesser qualities.
Yeah, I really hate Shelly because in earlier seasons she's a walking turd and it's hard to sympathize with her. The only times I can defend her is when she told the vegan kid to stop being vegan and be himself, but he died anyway. The other time was when she got sick of Randy's drug antics. Gerald was also an asshole in earlier seasons too, like in the Season 3 episode where he was obsessed with suing and being everyone's lawyer. Wendy only did bad things in the first season. PC Principal, outside of his first season, I would say is far from evil. Strong Woman hasn't done anything wrong and I'd say she's pure neutral. Sheila, yeah, it's messed up how much Kyle is becoming like her. Additionally, I'd say that Stan is becoming more and more like Randy.
Mr. Hankey is abusive towards his wife which we've seen throughout the series too. And yeah, Gerald is really sick after that one season. Shelly is also pretty awful. I also agree that PC Principal and Strong Woman should be lower on the list.
David B Jacobs yeah, but you need to remember that Kenny there already knows fully well that he literally can’t die, at least not permanently. But still suffering painful experiences to help others is still why I’d view him as being really good. Still he does questionable things alone, butters usually gets coarsed into doing wrong, he never does anything wrong on his own behalf, well maybe he has done once or twice.
@@LazerUnicorn7 also yes it would, but it still means a lot considering kenny had to go through the devastating pain before he dies & revives. being able to die repeatedly would fucking suck, since it's basically endless pain. plus your family members and people around you die, and you end up becoming the last in the family. If the world ends and kenny's the only living thing, well he's just alone. no one to interact with, no one to love, just dead.
one of my favourite moments of kenny being a good person is in the episode "the city part of town" (S19E03), when kenny uses his well earned paycheck to buy a brand new toy for his little sister, Karen. Also the whole guardian angel story line in "the poor kid" (S15E14). i wish we got more episodes more focused on him, or episodes where he plays bigger parts...
honestly “going native” (s16e11) is one of my favorite episodes purely because kenny sacrifices time he could use to hang out with others just so butters can go to hawaii, plus the fact that he got everyone more ingredients for chichis even after they left him to die. it’s one of my favorite episodes in the whole series purely because of that, and the fact that butters stands up for himself. but kenny is such a good and pure character(also the cheesing episode is one of my favorites because of kenny, “major boobage” [s12e03]). just my two cents of the topic lol

I think Sharon and Heidi should be in the good category. Stuart, Carol, Ned and Jimbo should also be in the gray area. Finally Shelley should be in the bad to evil category.

The Colorization Channel he does some bad stuff too and bullies people and etc. everyone really does in some episodes but it’s an ooooold cartoon it can’t be too consistent

Kenny is a great character, I especially like the times his face is revealed, I gotta feel bad for him because of his parents, but they too have things that make me feel bad. I also like Stan and Kyle, who each have their good moments. Why does Al sound more innocent than poor lil Butters? And let’s not forget that Cartman’s Chili also contained his own father, very scarring for everyone, speaking of which those bullet holes were really hair raising, probably because so many were fired at once. I feel like Wendy should be lower on this list due to how she tries so hard to change the world for the better, while Randy and Towelly should be farther up the list into the bad territory. Heidi slowly turns into a female Cartman later in the series. Another girl that I like is Henrietta Biggles. M’kay.
Well to be honest, while he is nearly completely nice, innocent and caring for others like such as Damian, he has shown to have gone along with the other boys of south Park shenanigans, for example the episode ‘sexual harassment panda’ where everyone is suing each other including pip suing cartman but in his defence cartman is always an ass to him, i think he’s well placed
I would have put Kenny higher than bronze good. Yeah he is vulgar sometimes, angry and likes to get high, but under that he's a good person and deeply cares for his siblings and wants to give them a better life. When he gets a job at city wok, he hides his money from his parents so they don't take it, doesn't spend it on himself but uses it to buy his sister a brand new doll. The kid is so kindhearted but ultimately has downfalls due to his upbringing but they don't really hurt anybody per se. Also you couldn't blame him for becoming cynical or a bastard since he remembers and feels every death he experiences yet he still tries to be a good person and takes on the role of Mysterion to help people and once again, his sister when they get relocated to an agnostic foster home. I'd have given Kenny a joint first place with butters or at least second place.

Kyle and Stan are basically 2 sides of the same coin, they’re both considered the “moral compass” of the entire show. But their parents probably influenced which side of the coin they’re on. While Stan relies more on his compassionate gut, Kyle gives in to his emotions a lot faster. Kyle’s quick anger can probably be attributed to his mom, and Stan’s compassion can be attributed to his dad. Though both of them have done stupid things, and things that can be seen as bad, for children, they’re both doing pretty good.

Yeah, Kenny is probably the only decent human being in the entire series. Eric is evil, Stan is very cynical and depressed, and Kyle is too uptight. Butters also has the potential to be good, but is too gullible to have a fair sense of morality

However, Butters also makes mistakes and does sometimes act like a sociopath thanks to his weird choices, but often tries to make up for them. Kenny is just the only normal kid out of all of them
If Karen (Kenny's little sister) was on this list, she would be right above Butters. Not much to say about her, she just seems like a shy & innocent little girl.

I think kenny mcormick is the most good character in south park. Even more good thank butters. Kenny is completely selfless and he's willing to go to extremes to help people out. He's really good to his siblings, and a good friend. He also saved the entire world and the future multiple times.
He dies four times in a special, two of those were in one episode, once just to prove a point.

Honestly I agree. Even though Butters is by nature very sweet, forgiving, and helpful, the fact is that he *can* be manipulated. He may not be "bad" for this, because at the end of the day it's possibly his coping mechanism (or age) but he's not using a moral compass or sticking up for himself to do better until the damage is already done. It isn't until later (like in the Christian Rock ep where he finally says "fuck you" to Cartman at the very end for being a little shit) that he finally stands his ground, but he still plays so much of a hand by being manipulated (even outright saying to a customer "we're not really christian, we're just pretending.") I would say his naivety and somewhat outright stupidity definitely doesn't make him the golden boy. He's still waaaay better than majority, that's for sure.

Actually in the episode with Cesar Milan, we see Eric's mom isnt just "blindly loving him" We see she is very aware of Eric's problems and seeks to get help (albeit very unhealthily via reality tv shows) and then eric finally becomes a well behaved boy. But then when he is, and is one a track to become even better, Eric's mom realizes that she has no friends, so instead of healthily pursuing her own adult friends, she destructively works to make eric behave worse again just so she can selfishley have a friend with eric instead of the relationship of a son, which is actively ruining his life.

Kenny is definitely the most well-rounded character in the show. He's got so many traits and aspects to his character while being a pretty average kid (taken in context of course cus this is South Park im talking about).

ngl seasons 19-21 were absolute shit. I hated how nice Eric was and how it was all political. I also hated the fact that nothing was ever happy, every time something good happened something else came and made it sad again and the boys had a hell of a lot of arguments and didnt seem to hang out anymore. Ik that the creators made it to where they could change a lot and it was something different but it just didnt seem like south park anymore. Also all of the adding to the plot which made the episodes 3-4 episodes long got boring. Im just happy that south parks getting better and that the boys are getting their bond back.

butters and kenny are the two characters that are genuinely kind hearted and selfless, and they always get the short end of the stick. it makes me so sad to think about how much pain kenny must be in every time he dies. but he continues to be a good person. in the mysterion episode i’ll never forget how he was coming to his own house in costume threatening his parents to be better, to stop drinking/smoking. like that’s so messed up. he also told kyle that he thinks he’s the smartest kid in their class. kenny is such an angel and i’m so glad he got to go to heaven to escape his immortality curse and live with hot women for eternity.
with butters, i mean talk about depressing. “falling asleep to the sound of my own screams” comment, his mom trying to kill him, and being sent to conversion therapy. why do they torture the best characters :(

Kenny is also super protective and loving towards his little sister, Karen. He created Mysterion to be her protector, and he goes to intense lengths to assure that even with their crappy lives, Karen feels safe and protected.
Kenny is definitely more level headed and has matured along the way. In the early seasons, he had some sexual, wild fantasies but it has toned down throughout the series.
Cartman actually has one episode where he does good without there being something in it for him. When the town bans cats, he hides all of the cats away in his basement. This episode always surprised me because he actually did something good with no ulterior motive.
What about the episode when everyone ignored him except butters?

Jack Pickup alters have their own different tone of voices and behavior patterns it’s confusing, but the way southpark portrayed the disorder was kinda offensive because swapping personalities doesn’t go that fast but South Park is known for the offensive stuff so it’s alright. Jessica is salty about it but the rest of us are chill with it
Wendy and Kyle definitely need to be ranked higher than they were. They are two of the most morally stable characters on the show, and their anger and aggressiveness towards others is usually justified, especially towards Cartman.
I think Wendy should be ranked at the high end of the gray area or low of good characters. At least before Randy. Randy killed many more people than Wendy. She beat up cartman because he was making fun of breast cancer and only uses violence or meanness for standing up for the right things.

The main difference between Stan and Kyle, is Stan's becoming more and more like his dad, like when he made that PSA about anti-bullying, he wanted fame and fortune.
Kyle on the other hand is becoming more like his mother, often saying what's wrong with doing/saying X thing and why it's wrong. Even to the point other kids get sick of his speeches.

The one thing I love about Kenny is how much he loves his sister and whenever he gets his first paycheck he uses it on her and how as Mysterion he protects her
So I totally disagree with a few parts of this list:
1) Mr. Hankey is a racist who leans on his valium addiction to justify the horrble things he does on social media. He goes off on people and is incredibly judgmental. He should be lower on the list.
2) Gerald is a sick troll who needs to be evil; more evil than PC principal who is at least TRYING to do good (although unsuccessfully).
3) Wendy did one really evil thing in the first season by getting Ms. Ellen kidnapped and killed, she really should not be put in the neutral category for that, especially given the behavior of a lot of the characters in the good list including Mr. Mackey.
4) Mr. Mackey, while typically good, literally plotted and attempted to murder a child (although that child was Eric Cartman).
5) Other than being judgmental and delusional, please name something truly evil that Strong Woman has done.
6) Shelly is typically pure evil.
7) Sheila Broflovski does things to massage her own ego, looks for things to get mad about, and then champions causes in order to gain power over others (I mean, she started a suicide slingshot in an episode in season 1). Furhter, this self-righteous egotism has manifested itself in her son and his own self image.
8) PC Principal is not really evil, just self-serving and misguided. This can be distinguished from characters like Sheila B who are trying to make a better position solely for themself; PC Principal clearly lives his life by trying to help people (even if his attempts to help people are misguided and based corrupted by a strange hodge-podge of white guilt and white privilege).
9) You said no monsters, but you included Eric Cartman.
10) You should have made Seaman #1 just for the laughs.
Yeah, this guy seems to be very unfamiliar with more recent seasons, unfortunately.
It is hard to put a lot of people in South Park on the good list. Even the better ones have an episode or 2 where they go dark, including Hankey and Mackey. As for the Wendy episode, yeah, though, to be fair, the Wendy of modern South Park is really a different character than she was in season 1. Still, I can't think of anything exceptionally bad from Stan or Kenny, so you are on the money there. Kyle is mostly good, though his association with the Crack Baby Athletic Association, and his bullying of other Kyle, are lesser qualities.
Yeah, I really hate Shelly because in earlier seasons she's a walking turd and it's hard to sympathize with her. The only times I can defend her is when she told the vegan kid to stop being vegan and be himself, but he died anyway. The other time was when she got sick of Randy's drug antics.
Gerald was also an asshole in earlier seasons too, like in the Season 3 episode where he was obsessed with suing and being everyone's lawyer.
Wendy only did bad things in the first season.
PC Principal, outside of his first season, I would say is far from evil.
Strong Woman hasn't done anything wrong and I'd say she's pure neutral.
Sheila, yeah, it's messed up how much Kyle is becoming like her. Additionally, I'd say that Stan is becoming more and more like Randy.
Mr. Hankey is abusive towards his wife which we've seen throughout the series too. And yeah, Gerald is really sick after that one season. Shelly is also pretty awful. I also agree that PC Principal and Strong Woman should be lower on the list.

one of my favourite moments of kenny being a good person is in the episode "the city part of town" (S19E03), when kenny uses his well earned paycheck to buy a brand new toy for his little sister, Karen. Also the whole guardian angel story line in "the poor kid" (S15E14). i wish we got more episodes more focused on him, or episodes where he plays bigger parts...
honestly “going native” (s16e11) is one of my favorite episodes purely because kenny sacrifices time he could use to hang out with others just so butters can go to hawaii, plus the fact that he got everyone more ingredients for chichis even after they left him to die. it’s one of my favorite episodes in the whole series purely because of that, and the fact that butters stands up for himself. but kenny is such a good and pure character(also the cheesing episode is one of my favorites because of kenny, “major boobage” [s12e03]). just my two cents of the topic lol

And let’s not forget that Cartman’s Chili also contained his own father, very scarring for everyone, speaking of which those bullet holes were really hair raising, probably because so many were fired at once. I feel like Wendy should be lower on this list due to how she tries so hard to change the world for the better, while Randy and Towelly should be farther up the list into the bad territory. Heidi slowly turns into a female Cartman later in the series. Another girl that I like is Henrietta Biggles. M’kay.

Well to be honest, while he is nearly completely nice, innocent and caring for others like such as Damian, he has shown to have gone along with the other boys of south Park shenanigans, for example the episode ‘sexual harassment panda’ where everyone is suing each other including pip suing cartman but in his defence cartman is always an ass to him, i think he’s well placed

I would have put Kenny higher than bronze good.
