    Pretty positive review. One hour on the meter... my Brawn is just shy of 2300 miles with 170 hours on the meter. A few hours just sitting and left the bike on during adjustments and other stuff. No issues other than the rack I ordered with it broke on one side. I had a broken connector from shipping but heybike replaced the display promptly and I'm amazed with the heybike Brawn. I wish I could afford a spare battery 🔋 because then, I'd be unstoppable. I rode over 120 miles one night on a night ride and stopped a couple times to charge for a while but it was nothing to ride that far in the amount of time I put in.

      @@WayPointSurvival you're welcome, thank you. 4 months and 2350 miles and not even a flat, although I do need to rotate my tires, as the rear is significantly more worn than the front because I'm 200 lbs plus clothes, boots, 25lb backpack, plus...etc. The Brawn is extremely competent at many different riding styles and different terrain.

    Great review 👍 Putting this on my "must have" list. Maybe, they'll have all the upgrades by the time I'm ready to make a purchase. 😊

  • @NewHampshireJack
    @NewHampshireJack ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Nice ride. I agree a few upgrades are needed for the unit to replace Mom's urban assault vehicle. Fenders and a solid rack that will accept panniers are a must for grocery runs and out-bug-out use. My guess on the taillight is the company did not want to run a wire that could be damaged and then have to use a buck converter to step down the voltage. An avid DIYer could build a great tail lamp assembly so not a big issue. More than anything, I wish companies would build quality bikes like these with a center drive system rather than a rear hub drive. The center drives are far superior. Thank you James for showcasing yet another well-made product.

    Great, because I’m getting knee surgery and need a bike that can switch between manual and electric as needed. Would you recommend this bike even after three months of usage?

    • @WayPointSurvival
      @WayPointSurvival  ปีที่แล้ว

      I think it has a lot of features that would be very useful. It really depends on the type of terrain and area you live in, but if you have a disability it will definitely help you get where you're going. Thanks for watching and for your questions!

    • @WayPointSurvival
      @WayPointSurvival  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's pretty comparable. I would still have to add a rear rack and some bags to it to make it like the one that I used before.

    Outside my budget but it looks pretty nice. A cover for the (and any) LCD would be a good idea if it's going to sit in the sun for an extended time, just something to keep it a little cooler and block the UV.
    Watch out with that blue light, it can earn you some new bracelets.
    Now, I'm about to go mix up a batch of firepaste. Thanks!

    I went to their website and it's a bit confusing. Some of the pictures show it with fenders and others do not, yet there is no place that mentions if it comes with them and it's not listed as an option. It would seem to me that whomever sells/markets these, really don't know what they are doing. Which makes me question the quality of manufacturing.

    • @WayPointSurvival

    • @WayPointSurvival
      @WayPointSurvival  ปีที่แล้ว

      I've not had a flat tire on one yet, but I imagine that it would be easier as the tires are larger and so getting the tube in and out would be a simpler process.

    @pscartozzi ปีที่แล้ว +1

    When you say up to 65 miles and 35 miles on throttle only are you talking from experience or just reading the spec from the website. I own two of these and the mileage is nowhere close to that. Not bitter, just being honest. They sent you a bike, you made a video, I assume you maybe rode it. What was your mileage real world? The words in-depth are in the title of this vid. Looks like you pushed it to a field and made the vid. Did you ride it?

    • @WayPointSurvival
      @WayPointSurvival  ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, if you watch the video where I did a 70 mile ride on one, then you would know I have a fair amount of experience on these. Granted, it was a different bike but same basic battery and motor style.

    • @pscartozzi
      @pscartozzi ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@WayPointSurvival So you did a ride on a different bike and not this one for mileage? Seriously?

    • @WayPointSurvival
      @WayPointSurvival  ปีที่แล้ว

      @pscartozzi I did ride this one for quite a few miles in hilly terrain both off and on the road, and the battery life seems commensurate with others I have tested. A lot of the battery life depends on how heavy you are, how much assistance you use, and how rugged the terrain is. Like most items, I believe the specs are from an ideal weight rider on flat ground. So, your mileage may vary a lot from the advertised total. You may have also received a defective battery. Have you contacted the company?

  • @tville7043
    @tville7043 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thanks for the review. Seems most all brands have about the same specs some just have better features. I'll have to do more research to justify spending nearly $2000. NW ga.

    I found an e-bike that the company was discontinuing this particular e-bike and they said it was only $28. The advertisement looked legitimate but of course I got taken. After a certain length of time I contacted the company and they said it had been delivered well of course it hadn't been delivered or if it had been delivered it wasn't delivered to my house. Now when I try to go to the website it says you can't get on I do still have their website address and keep sending them emails about where is my bike bat as long as it's been I'm pretty sure I'm not going to get it now. I guess you live and learn. That's a really nice bike you got there I really wish I had the money to get me one. On a little bit lower note the lady that wanted to buy my house has backed out so I never know when somebody's going to want to buy it. Well I figured that the Lord's wanting me to stay here for some reason so that's what I'm going to do and I believe I'm going to quit saying that I'll be there or I'm coming up to see you or anything else along that line. So if something does happen I'm just going to go I'll find you and then you'll see I'm there. I guess it's not really a lowered note so like I said this must be where the Lord wants me to be so I be here for awhile. Great bike you've got there enjoyed the video and demonstration. May God bless
