The BC error is related to either battery issues or the mirror (Not on the RS as the mirror is fixed). For the EOS 1N users it helps to use fresh batteries and mostly just USE the camera. There are videos using a magnet to un lock the mirror when it does stick. Best thing to say is the more its used the better they work and the more fun you have. Costs money of course but what doesnt these days. Cheers! Love the video!
@@robdixon5016 thanks so much for the info I’m sure it’ll help others out there that come across this problem, I was searching tirelessly trying to figure out that error … thanks again ! 😉
I too have one of these beautiful cameras. I got it from Japan and it’s incredible.
And I have the EOS 1V. They are massive but I love the quality of feel of a big camera.
@@marshalltravis3217 definitely a workhorse ! I want to explore different film stocks and see which ones I like best .. if any good recommendations please share thanks 🙏🏽
I’ve had a 1nRS for *many* years, it’s always fun seeing normal D/SLR users get confused by the lack of mirror slap.
@@clarebearr5357 lol there’s nothing like film forever timeless 👍🏽
those pics were fire, love the RR pic and the VW
thanks so much !!
I actually have that very same camera, it's a sturdy camera and having a EF mount is a plus. Taken a few shots with it some street and wildlife but I keep forgetting to bring the film with me for developing when I'm at the camera shop.😅
@@jhenry248 yes the EF mount is such a great option to have on a film camera especially for a 35MM … honestly I kind of prefer this over 120 Film ! Definitely dust it off and take it out more 👍🏽
Hello. I love the way you used your light and shadows on your model. Did you use a light meter? Thanks
Thanks so much ! Honestly no I did not use a meter but I’m thinking about using one to test out different lighting situations . Luckily the camera has a built in light meter in camera I just metered for the shadows and when I got back my scans just did a little tweaking in Lightroom ! Definitely learning more about this camera as I go along ! Thanks for watching !
I have the regular 1n what does the RS stand for
@@jerrywaynecalloway Same as “A” except that the
RS (Rapid Shot) mode is enables a
continuous shooting speed
of about 10 frames per sec-
ond with a shutter release
time lag of 0.006 sec.
And according to the manual “This model features a non-moving, hard-coated new pellicle mirror
which provides non-interrupted viewing through the viewfinder and
rapid-fire continuous shooting at 10 frames/sec. Moreover, the
camera’s release time lag (the time between when the shutter but-
ton is pressed and when the exposure occurs) is reduced to a
mere 0.006 sec”
I just got this, and it looks minty. But I can't half press to focus or see my meter reading. When I do, it just fires the shutter. It's like a hair trigger!
So I used a custom function to make back button af work, but unfortunately I still can't see the light meter until I fire the shutter!
Thoughts? Is there a way I can make back button also show the light meter reading? Is there any other things that might be making my half press not work?
Also note, I have the extra grip. It doesn't do half press either! When I try to barely touch it, it just fires a shot.
@@ItsSleepyxo ah okay not sure if it could be the shutter button but on mine long as it gives you that green dot when you half press then it should metering correctly… if not then yea i would suggest looking to maybe finding a function where you can change for that on the back . I do have an online manual for this camera let me know if you want a copy i can send it to you via email .. just hit me up in DM at @ NSY.studios
