Hey everyone! Two things: A. This series is only available in an 85-inch model. B. Vizio told me the panel was totally clean when it was shipped, so the blemish was indeed shipping damage - too bad, as the TV is packed very well. C. (OK, three things!) Thanks for all your comments about your experiences! Now, what are you dying to see next? I have a few TVs on deck!
I have the 85 H1 and I have the chance to get this one as an exchange do to the fact that I can't cast or stream on smartcast. Black screen and audio only, no picture. After many repairs and exchanges on the previous model (H1) again, I have to option to either keep the new tv replacement done 9 months ago or get this one completely free on exchange. I use a Chromecast workaround as of now. I love the picture of the H1 .. just nervous to exchange it out and not like this one. What do you think ?? Should I go for it ?
What is the power consumption ? please share those numbers too in your reviews. Electric bills are rising enough already due to the pandemic and the war. it is important to know what it costs to run this product.
I want to see that new recliner w/built in VCR. I think it’s a collaboration between home sense and Westinghouse. From what I’m hearing, that shit is tight son. 10 out of 10 A++ next level shit 😂😂😂
I've always bought vizio because of value. I get damn good features for a lot less what I pay for the big name brands (Sony and Samsung and LG) and I only have one grip about vizio which is they tend to reboot without warning. I owned 7 of them and I currently have 3. I do own a Sony Bravia (X900F) that's a beast which it better be due to price lol. I just bought the LGC1 because of the reviews especially for the PS5. Obviously I'm getting away from vizio and getting into the expensive brands only because I can afford to. Vizio is a damn good choice for those who want a great TV but cannot afford said expensive brands. I'm still using the vizio p series that I bought 6 years ago and it still holds up. So don't question about a purchase or stress yourself out by trying to figure out how to save a lot of monies to buy the expensive brands when you know you are limited on funds. We all been there or are still there especially with this bs of inflation going on right now. Get a vizio if you are on a budget. Nuff said. It's a damn good brand and very affordable for the hard working 👪. Kids are expensive enough lol. I got 2. I love watching movies and gaming. Vizio made it possible for me to enjoy those when I was living paycheck to paycheck. I'll be donating my unused vizios to certain co workers who are struggling right now weather a single person or a family person, we all deserve to enjoy some shit, especially the ones who work their ass off just to live paycheck to paycheck, I know because that used to be me 😕
My 2015 Vizio M TV was perfect and works flawlessly to this day. I tried to buy a Vizio P Quantum a year or two ago and after having QC issues with the original and then the replacement just went with the Sony X90H. Vizio is one of those brands that makes great products but really needs to dial in its manufacturing and testing.
Same here. I still use my 2015 Vizio M50-C1 and it outperforms newer TV's. Great black levels, no blooming or halos, bright colors (even though it doesn't have Quantum dot and HDR). I will be upgrading come black Friday however, as TH-cam only displays 720p on most videos and all the apps no longer support updates. Looking forward to the new M Series Quantum X or maybe I'll finally make the jump to OLED.
@@dennyhiett6271 Thanks for the suggestion. I always watch his stuff. He's been a big supporter of Vizio for years just as I have, but with OLED prices dropping, it's become very tempting. The LG A1 48" is $799. I'll wait for the rest of the 2022 lineup before making my decision.
I have a small Vizio TV that I bought in about 2008-09, and still use every day as a computer monitor (I never watched TV on it). It still works perfectly. That's my only experience with the Vizio brand, but I have zero complaints, and many hours on the screen.
I have the last model PQX-65 model and chose it because it was the best bang for your buck tv at the time. Vizio does a great job at picture quality and features for the price, but quality control and processing are their biggest issues. Not that they are necessarily bad, they are just very inconsistent. I got a relatively clean panel and have had a good experience with it so far. My biggest gripe with Vizio is the actual processing and software. I am constantly having to reboot my tv to link with my Vizio soundbar and Xbox One S. It's more of a nuisance than anything, but its present. Overall, if Vizio could better their quality control and put more R&D into their processing, they easily would compete and even outperform the big 3 brands in the same price category. I am happy to see this new model seems to be an improvement and not just a recycled model, too bad it is only available in 85". Hoping to see how they have improved their OLED model.
I have the same model you do and it was broke from the factory. Vizio sent a tech to replace the main board. After a few months I have the same issue you do and need to constantly restart to get the audio to work correctly. My 2020 Vizio M series died after 18 months, $450 part from Vizio on a $600 tv.
@@bearysh That’s is a big bummer and $1k may not be a lot to some, but that is a lot to lose on a tv. That seems to be the thing with Vizio, it’s just hit or miss for consumers. When something is bad, it’s bad, or you luck out like me and have an overall good experience. Every manufacturer, even the big 3, has lemons and TVs that turn out to not be great. It just seems that Vizio is consistently inconsistent. It also always seems that no matter how much they improve, their TVs don’t quite ever turn out as good in use as they show on paper.
Pre like 2016... Vizio's we're a smart buy. Great bang for your buck and they lasted. I still have my 2015 Vizio and it's still going strong. Now all im hearing is avoid them cause the die in like a year or two or don't work from the get go.
When I bought my 2017 M series I heard the horror stories as well. I just took a chance and purchased it with the extended warranty. 5 years later it’s still working fine. There’s a small line in the center of the screen that you don’t notice unless you’re looking for it probably from me moving it without help. There is also some dirty screen effect that makes playing GTA 5 distracting. On occasions I’ll also get a glitch where everything on screen will turn pink. Resetting it fixes this. *Its only happened twice in 5 years so it’s not really a issue but happened so worth mentioning I guess.
I wouldn’t be afraid to buy again but I would probably try a different brand just cause. I’ve been looking at the Sony tvs for some time now. In a couple years I might upgrade.
I purchased this TV in January last year and it has been great for me. My only problems were with software, TV on/off issues, so I did a full reset and reloaded the software update and the problem was solved. I have a very bright living room where the tv faces a wall of windows and the brightness 🔆 is just what I needed for this location. Great price point for a tv of this quality. I paired it up with a Bose 900 soundbar and subwoofer and I’m very happy with this.
even with all the problems Vizio has I was lucky enough to get a good OLED panel. I haven't had any of the problems some of the other people who bought the TV has had. The TV is almost 15 monrhs old now and still going strong and holding up well especially after about 3 updates it has received since I've owned the TV.
Might be the video or the camera capturing something that is not visible in real life, but i see a weird checkerboard pattern in the display (1:39, 4:19 under the tree) My experience with Vizio is that they have great specs but when you look at them next to a Samsung or Sony they just don't look as good... Usually the anti reflection coating and viewing angles are not very good compared with the bigger brands top of the line (they have to save money in something).
Caleb maybe you've addressed this already but when companies send you review units do they pre calibrate them for better results or are you getting the same as if we bought from the store???
Had a 2014? P502ui-b1. 50", 4k, $600, 120hz at 1080p, VA panel so inky blacks, crazy deal for its time. And it lasted me until 2021, when it started having issues turning on. It was WELL with the price!
I still have this exact television and it's functioning perfectly! I have upgraded to the 65" OLED H1 and the blacks/contrast/colors are insane. However, the P502ui-B1 still has a great picture.
I hate the new ones are having issues. My first Vizio, their Plasma was awesome and work for over 5 years. Then my 2014 M series still looks great. And it is on 5+ hours per day between my kids, me, and my wife. I am looking to upgrade and thought about a new Vizio because I have loved mine buy time to upgrade from 55". Guess I won't be looking at Vizio, I had thought about their 65" oled and the elevate sound bar to go with it.
Two of my old Vizio TVs were great and still working like it should. 2012 and 2015. Newest one started rebooting right after warranty expired. 2018 model. Kept reading bad reports about the newer models. My newest TV is LG C1. Although this TV looks great with great specs, I will hold out on buying another Vizio.
I have had LG, Samsung, and Vizio (multple Vizio's). Lg and Samsung still going strong. All three vizio's never made it past two years. And even before breaking, they had minor issues come up.
@@opx4real It doesn't fit the video, its a display review. Maybe add in some comments about the display reviewed, then cap off the comment with personal experiences with brand.
Family owns M, E, and D series 50”. Oldest is about 6 years old. All working without any issue. I have heard others have bad experiences, but I must’ve gotten good sets. I’m not a hardcore gamer and mostly use mine for TV, movies, and streaming. Again, no issues at all from any of the models.
I've only gotten mid-tier Vizio's, two to be exact. One I don't use enough anymore to provide real feedback but seems OK still after about 5-ish years. My newer model which I think is only 2-ish years has major performance issues: bad blooming, uneven backlight, sometimes freezes up and has to be unplugged for 10 mins before booting back up, bad wifi reception even though I have a wifi node in the same room and every other device is fine with the wifi, etc. My second TV was OK for the price for a while, but just keeps having more and more issues as time goes on. Idk if I just lost the panel and chip lotteries, but it has really put me off Vizio. About maybe 6 months later I got a TCL and has only had very minor issues (two or three random reboots, I think they were firmware updates but I didn't get a notification on screen so even if that's the case it's still annoying there was no notification) Otherwise, I am very happy with my TCL 6 series. I am sure people have had bad experiences with TCL too, but until I do, I will most likely prefer a TCL over a Vizio unless Vizio puts out a comparable TV at a very good price.
I've had my VIZIO P75QX-H1 for about 1.5 yrs. So far it has been flawless. Great picture. Checks all he metrics. This 85" VIZIO is on my short list and is likely my next TV. This review is very positive and with the VIZIO know value equates into another winner from V.
Even thought Vizio is such a great value for the money. I'm not buying any other product from them. I bought a Vizio Oled 55 and Elevate soundbar on blackfriday 2020, and since then its been a huge headache, specially with external HDMI devices like the PS5 asd Nvidia Shield. It is so buggy and unreliable that my wife flat out never touches it, as every time she tries to turn the TV, something won't work. I always get around these issues by power cycling the TV, but when you do this 2 to 3 times weekly it becomes a hassle, fast. Also, the firmware updates will fix an issue but also break a couple of functionalities. Its like Vizio's software department throws a coin in the air and all vizio owners hold its breath to see how it will land (GoT reference but 100% accurate).
Man, it's so sad to hear they still have issues with software. I had a P Series with a tablet, TV was really buggy with HDMI connections and my wife had the same reaction. We returned it within our refund period. We also had similar issues with a Vizio soundbar until I exchanged it for a new unit and just never connected it to the internet.
I have both the Vizio P75QX-H1 & P85QX-H1 (loved the 75 so much got the 85 as well). No issues with either like a lot have experienced. Mainly use PS5 Series X and a stand alone 4K Blu-Ray Player. For streaming apps like Netflix and Disney Plus I use the TVs native apps with no issues. I also have a 65" LG CX. Cant go wrong with an OLED but if I had to choose one TV I would go with the 85" PQX. In my experience, it's just that good. Also want to mention I got a steal of a price on the 85" last summer. For about 2 days Sam's club had it on sale for $1999 with 3 year warranty and it sold out in a day then the price went back up to 3K and remained there ever since. We were planning to buy it at 3K anyways and then it went on sale the week before we were going to purchase so we jumped on that. Crazy timing. If anyone has questions I am happy to answer. Can also give comparison opinions with this TV and the the LG CX.
@@eddiecastellanos6237 Absolutely love it. Vizio released a major update at the end of summer which helped most people having some issues. It also included some additional features and improvements that make the TV even better. Still indeed highly recommend. I see the newer model is currently on sale at Sams Club.
@@its_ohhrite yeah that's where I saw it at and I've been thinking about getting it. I was looking at a Sony x90k or whatever and an lg c1 since they were in the price range I wanted on sale but I decided on the Vizio.
Will you please make a video with the EXACT calibration specs and tutorial on the Sony A95K when it comes out please? That’s the TV I’m waiting to get.
I think you under played the QC part and I really wish you would have asked for another unit. The reason for this request is because I've had multiple Vizio tvs since 2015 and after 2018, 2 times I've had to return a new tv from them for bad quality issues out of the box. Returning a TV is a very large pain in the ass. They also released series with major firmware issues. My 2020 PX-65 turns off when I play 1080 120hz content. While other with OLED series reported major refresh rate issues. I wish I never watched your video back in the day on the 2020 PX-65 you made it seem amazing and it was not. The viewing angle is horrible and captions it has major bloom. You said it was the best tv you tested for the year. That just seems like absolute garbage. EDIT: I want to be clear you do a great job reviewing TVS just my experience was opposite of yours which really idk is not fun.
While my Vizio m658-g1 was great for the first 2 years, and I was perfectly happy with it, 2 years is all the enjoyment I got out of it. A few months after factory warranty expired, the backlights started failing. Started with the one local dimming zone dead center, and over the next few months it spread to most of the lower left quadrant. Thought maybe it was the LED driver board, but turns out Vizio engineers and assemblers do a poor job. It was just the plastic connectors on the LED strips working themselves loose over time from heat cycles and vibrations. A lot of people had the same issues with this model, and Vizio customer service is terrible and they don't back up their products. SO, I will never give them another dollar of my money. $1400 for a product that only works for 2 years is ridiculous. STAY AWAY, or buy at your own risk. Also, wouldn't doubt that the dark spot on this review model being tested isn't the same issue, or something similar. Looks like a zone not powered on.
Compared a 2019 p series Visio with a new Oct 2022 Samsung Qn85B. I tried hours of tweaking the settings The Samsung looks great in the store but compared side by side with the same content the Visio looks stunning. Video games also look much better and have full detail compared to the Samsung.
The weird part is looking at the footage. The image looks completely off. 5:31 where is the green? Like everything has a yellow/light brown tinge to it. The greens don't look green, but yellow green. Like it's sickly. I mean every single image looked off. And this is comparison to basically all other TV makers. LG, Samsung, Sony you name it. OLED or LCD doesn't matter this Vizio looks like none of the other TVs in this footage and not for the better.
I've got a P65-C! that still looks great but will randomly reboot itself. I won't be buying another Vizio again but I knew what I was getting into at this price point.
I don't think I'll ever trust Vizio enough to feature one of their displays in my home. But I'm happy to try them out on a smaller scale. $3,000 is way too much to risk on a brand whose bread and butter is low cost with questionable quality control. edit: I do own a M-series Quantum Dot 40" from a few years ago, and it works fine with light use, but I scrapped the laggy and slow to update smart features for a chromecast.
I've always loved my Vizio tv's until my M70-C3 where I got duped with the 240hz ERR. When going from 60hz to 120hz TRR it was tough to take a step back with the M70-C3. Given the fact that you touched on a noticeable jutter, you have helped me to decide to steer clear of this tv. I'll be forever chasing the buttery smooth motion of the older models. My next tv is going to be larger than 70", is the lack of smooth motion a problem with the larger tv sizes or does it just depend on the type and manufacturer? Thanks for the in depth review.
A great video idea could be a series of tests that new tv buys can do to make sure that there's nothing wrong or any slight deficiencies in their tv unit. I have a Vizio Quantum X from 2020, and after checking this video, I checked my own tv for DSE. Sadly, I do have it and didn't notice it before. Caleb, please make a video on this topic so that us consumers can make sure our own tvs aren't messed up. At least from the first pick up.
I was a huge Vizio fan/purchaser for about 10years. Then I bought TCLs and Highesense. I focused on bang-for-the-buck. And most recently 85” Sony xbr95j which was a step outside my comfort zone. For comparison purposes, the reason I left vizio wasn’t because of the picture (despite always noticing the vignetting at the corners). It was because the slowness of the system itself became excessive in comparison to my TCL and Highsense experiences with equal or better quality picture. The Sony, for us, was a reach and totally not justified, BUT - it’s absolutely amazing. I would never pay full price and to get it at recent sale prices $2999 was , from my perspective, an exceptional deal. I agree Vizio, as well as the other brands I mentioned as “budget” tvs give an excellent experience. I just personally found the slowness of the vizio to fall way short in comparison to Roku platform and now google platform as well to the extent that I personally wouldn’t purchase another unless they changed that up and it was proven to be faster and less glitchy. Great videos by the way. Helped me pull the trigger on the Sony as well as the full Sonos arc system after much hesitation. Honestly my favorite overall viewing experience I’ve ever had.
I don't use vizio smartcast for streaming apps because of what you said. I have several streaming devices. My picture settings are amazing after calibration. I disconnect my smartcast from the internet and choose to update or not depending on the update
I really enjoyed my last Vizio (the pq65-1). It eventually started locking up/freeze frame style. I went with the LG C2, and while I do love the OLED so far, it's taking some getting used to. Not as bright, and colors seem a bit less impressive, maybe due to the adjustment period. Appreciate videos like this, very helpful in making choices on what to get. Thanks. :)
Well for the too-much red alone, Im not getting this tv. I had a Westinghouse(horrible tvs!) where the gamma was completely off and the reds were insanely high, and bled when on screen. I can't deal with that again!
Are they going to release a 75" P Series Quantum X? I not going to make the mistake of going up to an 85". When I upgraded to 75" it locked me in so I wouldn't ever be satisfied with going back down in size and 85" is too inconvenient to transport.
I bought a Vizio p series 2018 and after a year and a half the backlight and the local dimming zones stopped working properly. It was out of warranty and its a common problem with many other ones. Vizio ignored the problem and offered no solutions
Looks like you have a dead, or zone that dying out (Dimmer than the others)…which if anyones ever owned multiple Vizio’s, they probably knows this is a HUGE issue that plaques these TV’s for a long time now. I haven’t had a Vizio in my home, that hasn’t had a zone go out, or some form of other issues. So I’m done with them. I do not trust their QC at all. Despite how much I do like the PQX’s brightness and color volume. There’s more to a TV than brightness alone. I have a Vizio downstairs that has a dead zone, and can’t wait to replace it. Wish I felt comfortable replacing it with another Vizio, like the PQX. But I don’t trust them.
Thanks Caleb for your Info. In today's tech times.... this is a BIG INTERNET/ONLINE SALES period. If a Big 10 Company can't manufacture a $3K plus tv...give approved quality control, but blame your findings on Shipping Damage> that's CRAP!! Wouldn't touch there equipment. Where there's a Will>> there's a way to reassure your customers!! If I'm not mistaken LG is ponying up a (5)year wty. as well??
I noticed a lot of people mention bad 2020 or 2021 models. My 2019 Visio is flawless and better than new TVs twice the price. My experience has been that buying anything at all made during Covid times has been trash.
looks like a nice tv and much better value than sony & samsung's offerings - but not sure if it was the camera, but i noticed a checker pattern across the screen on the video. Hopefully this is not visible in viewing the screen in person.
I have the P85QX-H1. This TV looks to be just a rebranded H1 except with the new voice remote, correct? If so, people should probably look for last year’s H1 if they are looking for a bargain. That said, my TV has some issues- the biggest one seems to be uniformity which is all over the place. I’m on my 2nd TV and it really is no better than the first. The 4k upscaling is ok, but I wish it was better and also VRR is broken. It just doesn’t work right. I regret having not shelled out a little more for a LG 77” OLED. Caleb, if you’re interested my Denon receiver says both HDMI ports 3 and 4 on the TV are 48Gbps.
@@dennyhiett6271 it is awesome. It takes up most of my wall. I hooked up my Yamaha surround system to it. There wasn’t one available in Pensacola so they shipped me this one from California. I held my breath, but everything was fine. When I got here the box was massive.
So we got rid of the 3d glasses but now we have to use sunglasses to watch TV at all times, even in SDR. 2,300 nits in SDR!!! That's hilarious. Just curious, can you get a suntan if you watch it for long enough? :-) The fact that you recommend the calibrated dark mode showcases the sad state that TVs are currently in. I remember how HDR was supposed to improve things.
I have a video coming out about this soon. It causes “soap opera effect” by altering the cadence of the image. Some hate it, some prefer it. Rarely does anyone not have strong opinion, I’ve found.
I’ve been trying to tell everyone about this tv for the past 2 years it is phe 👏 no 👏 me👏 nal!!! This and the Sony Z9 are the only 3,000 nit TV’s that have Dolby Vision… and the Sony Z9J is $8,000! Once you have a tv this bright and colorful you can’t ever go back
Vizio has sloppy brightness you can't really compare the Z9J to it or any of the Z series Z8H Z9G they all perform better and can do 2500 + with Dolby Vision. With no dirty effect better upscaling. I have one and a QD OLED once you see that no other tv looks good
@@NexGenTek an S95B is $3,000 for 65” and tops out at 200 nits full screen brightness. As far as gaming is concerned that’s a no go for me. The Z9 TV’s you rave about are $8,000 for 85”. The PQX’s color gamut and color volume blows Sony out of the water. The Z9J does not have quantum dots. Also the amount of dimming zones in the Z9J is laughable compared to the PQX.
@@blahblah2830 Actually Sony had the first Quantum Dots with the triluminous display they are quantum dots actually. Look it up. The PQX color gamut and volume is a joke not to mention the dirty Screen behind it all. For gaming it's far behind. The OLED will still appear brighter in a lot of scenes instead of the washed out look Vizio has. Because of the infinite contrast and 1500 nit highlights. Vizio shouldn't even be talked about.
I would too. BUT. Those are not good for bright rooms. You’re realistically looking at 800 nit peak brightness, and dark scenes are going to just get completely lost in glare
@@guybrush3000 yeah I don't associate with people who put a TV in a bright room lol I have blackout curtains on my windows and keep the lights off when playing games and watching movies
If you watch Movies or scripted TV in a bright room, you're doing it wrong. period. However, live TV (e.g., sports), then you're very likely to be in a bright room. So I can understand those concerns to a point. That said, I cringe every time I stream something on my $3,000 QLED 82" TV now that I've seen my mother's $3,000 C1 OLED 77". Her TV gets a lot more sunlight, AND she watches TV with the lights on quite a lot while, ironically, I turn everything off to stream. Both TVs catch the glare of a light at the wrong angle. Ambient artificial light isn't any different though. Ambient room light through windows does affect the OLED more so than the QLED. The biggest issue, however, is how horrible the QLED looks in the dark, far worse than the general darkness of the OLED caused by sunlight (just generic vertical blinds). My QLED is 2 years older than the OLED, so QLED tech has improved, but I'd never buy less than OLED for myself again.
Yup, Got a Vizio p series. Was perfect for 100 days and then DSE quickly has been growing across the screen. Vizio wouldn’t do anything about it. Luckily Best Buy Protection had me covered. They don’t even bother trying to repair (it’s the panel delaminating) and just replace…repeatedly…until you give up and switch to another manufacturer. Fantastic TV with poor manufacturing/quality control. What a shame.
This was the TV I was looking for at Sams Club in 2021. They held it back due to manufacturing woes. it was listed at 2899, back then. I can wait til they go on clearance for 2k. Change the OS Vizio.
For best overall PQ and sound: definitely Sony (either OLED or LCD), for best gaming experience: LG OLED, for well-rounded performance in every aspect: Samsung especially their newest QD-OLED, and for the price: Vizio
Seems like a great tv but it has VIZIO SmartCast built-in and that service sucks it the worst of the worst i'm not sure why Vizio hasn't adopted Roku or Google tv yet
is it judder or frame stutter? no tv should have judder, how can a company release a tv that doesn't sync its refresh rate with the framerate of content
Have a current ranking system. After you review a TV rank it with the current year models this TV ranks 5th in picture quality. And 8th over all. Bla Bla. When every TV is amazing its hard to keep up.
I’m not sure if it’s my phone in low battery mode or the video itself, but the color as a whole seems a bit washed out compared to other review videos here in this chanel.

@@mikecinema7443 I would go with qled. Check out value tech cents TH-cam channel. He has calibration settings and compares oled qled
@@mikecinema7443 your welcome. Good to hear from a value tech cents TH-camr
Still have the 2014 (or whatever the 1st year they made 4k sets) and no issues
It's quite a shame how they've degraded over the years when it comes to quality.
No doubt! The 2015 M and 2014 P's were killer if you could get one home in good condition. My 2015 M is still going strong at my sister's house.
I assume you meant last years model?
@@ovlivion81 Yep, because the last year model had like 900+ zones, they didnt make alot of those.
@@ovlivion81 Yes.
Thanks Caleb for reviewing all brands and being professional every step of the way.
even with all the problems Vizio has I was lucky enough to get a good OLED panel. I haven't had any of the problems some of the other people who bought the TV has had. The TV is almost 15 monrhs old now and still going strong and holding up well especially after about 3 updates it has received since I've owned the TV.
Might be the video or the camera capturing something that is not visible in real life, but i see a weird checkerboard pattern in the display (1:39, 4:19 under the tree)
My experience with Vizio is that they have great specs but when you look at them next to a Samsung or Sony they just don't look as good... Usually the anti reflection coating and viewing angles are not very good compared with the bigger brands top of the line (they have to save money in something).
Correct, we don’t see that pattern IRL. I’m still trying to verify what causes that effect. I have a theory, but need to fact check.
8:00 bad motion. Bummer. Was hoping it was suitable for motion handling and movies. Have to look elsewhere for an 85 inch.
Caleb maybe you've addressed this already but when companies send you review units do they pre calibrate them for better results or are you getting the same as if we bought from the store???
I think he has said he factory resets the tvs to wipe the slate clean.
Had a 2014? P502ui-b1. 50", 4k, $600, 120hz at 1080p, VA panel so inky blacks, crazy deal for its time.
@@joshuaowens4797 love to see it! I miss mine sometimes, I 'upgraded' to a Samsung with 8 zones that's way too bright. I hate it lol
I’m gonna get the C1 or C2 end of the year. Wanted this tv, but the bugs are killing me. I’ve held out as long as I can lol
I have had LG, Samsung, and Vizio (multple Vizio's). Lg and Samsung still going strong. All three vizio's never made it past two years. And even before breaking, they had minor issues come up.
Why did you watch?
Damn. Apparently you are not allowed to share your experience.
And I have an LG and a Samsung, and they have both had severe issues in the first 2 years.
I have a 720p Vizio that I bought in 2007 that’s still working perfectly, while my 4K TCL set just died at age 4.
You're probably the luckiest Vizio owner on Earth
I was thinking of getting the 85 and was wondering how yours is holding up? Any issues or anything you noticed come up? Thanks for the info

Between my son and I we had 3 Vizios go bad. I’m having a Sony delivered this Monday.
Same here. Mine got replaced 3 times under warranty, only to die shortly after going out of warranty
same here , my backlight will randomly go out only to come back on after a few days definitely bad connections... will never by a Vizio again
Loving the reviews Caleb. Keep up the good work dude.
I won't be buying another Vizio again but I knew what I was getting into at this price point.
does this one allow you to add it to homekit? they are not very clear which TV's have that feature
You have quickly claimed to the top of my TV review sources. Cannot wait for your X95K review in your own space!!!
Thanks! The X95K is likely next unless I land a Samsung S95B before then.
Please include a segment in your reviews on how picture quality is affected using a streaming box vs native OS of the TV. Great work.
Have the 65” pqx-h1. The firmware is horrible. Freezes, drops audio, need to manually power cycle at outlet, etc.
I’m a huge fan of Vizio. However at this price point I would buy an LG OLED
I see rtings 2020 model has bad flicker score. I suffer from vertigo and wanted to know if the 2022 model has improved in the flicker score? Thanks.
Thanks. :)
I'm jumping from a p series to this c2 soon as well. How did you end up liking it
Well for the too-much red alone, Im not getting this tv. I had a Westinghouse(horrible tvs!) where the gamma was completely off and the reds were insanely high, and bled when on screen. I can't deal with that again!
Can you test the TV with Black Detail on Low and Film Mode Off, then run meter measurements after a couple hours.
Are they going to release a 75" P Series Quantum X? I not going to make the mistake of going up to an 85". When I upgraded to 75" it locked me in so I wouldn't ever be satisfied with going back down in size and 85" is too inconvenient to transport.
This visio or Samsung QN90A (from last year)? Both have similar prices
Weirdly , on the video I saw the small squares from the LED, is that the backlight shimmer?
Mind telling me in your honest opinion which is better out of this and TCL 6 series
Did they stop making TVs ? I can’t find anyone that sells this anymore ?
So… between this and U8H???🤔
What is the distance between the tv legs?
I noticed a lot of people mention bad 2020 or 2021 models. My 2019 Visio is flawless and better than new TVs twice the price. My experience has been that buying anything at all made during Covid times has been trash.

What's that grid like pattern? looks awful.
It's not visible in person.
Correct! This is just an issue of how the camera captured the screen. That grid pattern is not visible in person.
Hey Caleb, can you do a video on the LG based Motorola TVs that run WebOS? They are very recent and I only trust on your comments

Vizio has sloppy brightness you can't really compare the Z9J to it or any of the Z series Z8H Z9G they all perform better and can do 2500 + with Dolby Vision. With no dirty effect better upscaling. I have one and a QD OLED once you see that no other tv looks good

for $3000 I'd still definitely take a 77" LG OLED over this for quality alone (and MUCH better gaming options)
I would too. BUT. Those are not good for bright rooms. You’re realistically looking at 800 nit peak brightness, and dark scenes are going to just get completely lost in glare

@@PCGGC even when I don't close my black outs my E6 does just fine in our living room. I honestly don't get the hate OLEDs get in this department.

This was the TV I was looking for at Sams Club in 2021. They held it back due to manufacturing woes. it was listed at 2899, back then. I can wait til they go on clearance for 2k. Change the OS Vizio.
i dont know if i missed it what is he watching it looks good with all the animals and nature scenes ?
Thx much. How’s the screen re: glare/anti glare?
Great review, very interesting
Your colorimeter can only accurately measure up to 2000 nits. It can measure beyond that but it's not necessarily accurate.

Viewing angles?
😫😫😫SONY A95K review PLEASSEEEE👀👀👀
Is it just me or is there a checkerboard pattern in some of the shots of the TV?
Correct! This is just an issue of how the camera captured the screen. That grid pattern is not visible in person.
LG , Sony , Vizio , Samsung , TCL all have new technologies this year which makes it harder to choose
For best overall PQ and sound: definitely Sony (either OLED or LCD), for best gaming experience: LG OLED, for well-rounded performance in every aspect: Samsung especially their newest QD-OLED, and for the price: Vizio
@@danielkudo4800 what is missing in all TV's now is high color Volume , maybe Sony QD OLED will fix that.
Vizio p series quantum & quantum x one of the best if not the best tv for PS5 but not the Xbox series x/s
I got the pqx last year, and the image is awesome when watching movies and playing video games
When U review Samsung S95B finally, so many others YT-bers do it, when will Digital Trends review it.....thx
I like the new segment "Pass or Gas"
Sooo, If you watch a movie on this TV with the DSE issue, Does that constitute a dirty movie? Perspiring minds want to know🤔🤔
Seems like a great tv but it has VIZIO SmartCast built-in and that service sucks it the worst of the worst i'm not sure why Vizio hasn't adopted Roku or Google tv yet
is it judder or frame stutter? no tv should have judder, how can a company release a tv that doesn't sync its refresh rate with the framerate of content
Budget tv's are starting to surpass the high-end? Maybe..
The 2016 flagship P65c1 is still going as strong as the day I bought it. In fact, it’s comparable to the LG C1 si have now.
Is it better than a LG CX?
No LG is reliable.
I still think the U8G hisense beat this out for value and the one id buy even over the equivalent Sony and Sammy.
I wish someone could inform Vizio that they need to improve their quality control problem. then their TV's would be more competitive in the market.
Have a current ranking system. After you review a TV rank it with the current year models this TV ranks 5th in picture quality. And 8th over all. Bla Bla. When every TV is amazing its hard to keep up.

I love it! We are gonna get there in 2022! Let’s make it happen!
I’m not sure if it’s my phone in low battery mode or the video itself, but the color as a whole seems a bit washed out compared to other review videos here in this chanel.
Can this TV be wall mounted? It looks enormous!
Just mounted mine on the wall yesterday. 85-J01
@@mopargocarrick- do you still like your tv, any issues? I had vizio quantum x h1 75” damaged by a broken water pipe and am looking at replacing it with this 85”. Thanks.
@@Beavertosorry for the late reply. I had issues with notifications getting to my gmail. As far as the tv I have no regrets. Great tv!! 4K is on par with some of the higher end tvs. The sound is better than expected as I still haven’t added a receiver or soundbar. Viewing angles are good. Brightness etc. is all good. TV is a bit heavy but once it’s on the wall you never know it!! Sorry again for the late reply. For the money it’s a slam dunk!!
This tv once calibrated you can’t get anything at this price period.
Sure you have to win the panel lotto, but if you do then it’s the best bang for the buck..
What do you suggest on how to calibrate this?
