The scary thing is.. if they decided to let this become public, it means they have a much better system which is hidden..
'Sgt. Garrick, thanks to your intel, we've tracked the Al-Qatala cell responsible for the Piccadilly attack to a townhouse in North London...'
that was the sas in mw19
@@mrzak6556Garrick was a CTSFO and both CTSFO and SAS are counter-terror trained, SAS having trained CTSFO. They're pretty interchangeable for these missions but yeah in MW19, it was mainly SAS.
Yeah but Garrick would've either been surveillance or CT police. In the game he tags along with Price and then becomes 141 according to the writers@@mrzak6556
Very cool and very interesting. And that's just the stuff that they allow you to see and know about...
Why aren't there any comments? This video is interesting, and pretty insightful. Were comments disabled before? But overall this was a interesting video.
Because all ITV videos used to have comments disabled
just ffrom this comment alone i can tell you would not be able to handle your own in any situation that he has been in lol@@Klemheist
Why isn’t there much comments this video is so fun
I believe the comments were off, previously.
Cool
It's crazy that CTSFO are trained by SAS 😮😮
most of the specialised forces are trained or have some part of training with SAS.
SAS is almost everywhere, fun fact, navy seals were and probably still have some, sas instructors.
no they're not
@@Regret2001 yeah they are, they work with SAS, and SAS help with their training and tactics, cuz who best to learn SF tactics then from the best?
too cold
They don't know thats Henno Garvey from 22nd Reg!
CTSFO is the elite of the elite and this video shows barely any of there skills and doesnt represent at all how incredibly well trained they are.
"You see what they want you to see"
Elite of the elite 😂
No they’re not mate. They’re the elite of a bunch of Walter Mitty regiment wannabes. They join the police firearms because they haven’t the balls to join the military or simply aren’t good enough or fit enough. That’s not to say there aren’t former SC’s and Troopers in the role, because there are, but they’re the best of a bad lot. I worked with them at the Olympics and most were absolute cock wombles. Granted they weren’t CTSFO’s then, but at lot of the lads went on to become CTO’s
Hardly elite of the elite if they get the SAS to do their dirty work.
@@renatolaranja52 they literally are they are the top men when it comes to policing
I wish to join ctsfo one day
Why??? If you want to do this kind of thing for real, join the army and put I for selection after 4 years. Read my comment above for more info.
Make more money. Sas make about 50k per year. Ctsfo have unlimited overtime and often make over 80k per year@davidgalton8847
@@davidgalton8847 SAS do a lot more than just counter terrorism and are extremely difficult to actually get into. CTSFO specialise in counter terrorism and violent crime, its the only thing they do and you don't have to navigate through 60 miles of welsh hills and bogs with 60kg on your back to join it, unlike the SAS. The whole counter terrorism thing appeals to a lot of people, and if you're in the SAS there's only a 1/4 chance that your squadron is assigned to CT duties while a terrorist plot happens. If you're a CTSFO, there's a 99% chance you will be deployed to respond to the terrorist plot

Super army soldiers
Reminds me of rainbow six seige😂😂
I doubt they use cluster charges or hologram decoys lol
With a name like Dex Manly, he was made for this.
Could not possibly be cooler than that
is just like counter strike =b
It’s so weird that keymod is still the thing in Europe. I know this is old but I also know it’s still true today (according to a lot of Brit’s I follow)
But if Ross was a hostage why’d he get put in handcuffs
Is the CTSFO the former SO-19 ?
No, SO-19 are still around however renamed to SCO-19.
@@Manwithrizz .. I haven't looked to much into it, but am i correct if CTSFO takes care of high risk and anti-terror... and SCO-19 takes care of gang raids, civil armed and dangerous people, like SWAT ?
@PpAirO5 CTSFO are only deployed to counter terrorism raids, or terrorist attacks.
@@PpAirO5 CTSFO is a nationwide thing, SCO-19 is just the met
based ctsfo
I am in no way talking down to ctsfo in anyway but i have always been puzzled why some of them wear black airsoft mesh masks. Is it to conceal their face or?
for protection during training
oh yeah right cause sim rounds yeah no im stupid sorry@@amberratcliffe1092
It’s for paint on paint training
No, it’s because they use paintballs in the weapons, using live rounds isn’t possible because of ricochet
@@TheSpaniel1 they do live fire they have specially made shoot houses where they can use live rounds for their D9 training. The mesh mask is for force on force when they use UTM paint marking rounds
Are there any ctsfo near the West Yorkshire side or is it limited to London. And is there any other police just as qualified as the ctsfo.
There are different CTSFO units for each area of the UK, such as the South East Counter Terrorism Unit (SECTU) or Counter Terrorism Policing North West (CTPNW). There will always be one Counter Terrorism unit ready at all times too.
@@Manwithrizz thank you very much
Are the a part of the Metropolitan Police?
If so, do any other Police forces in the UK have armed officers that are as specialised as them?
There are CTSFO hubs over the whole country staffed by county police officers who were ARV armed response who have taken the next step to CTSO. ARV deal with spontaneous incidents. CTSFO deal with planned incidents. Even ARV carry stun devices to search through buildings to save life through the 999.
this is west midlands police
Gmp and the met have there own teams and the rest of ctsfo is regional
@@amberratcliffe1092this isn’t WMCTU, it’s CTSFO so basically MET established and operated
All UK police forces have armed officers, and there are different Counter Terrorism units in each area of the UK
I like your job, I was asked once what I would like to do and I said undercover police officer, as it happens I went into horse's.
Real life MW3
CS:GO
Yes, but what happens if Ross comes across his ex wife in one of the rooms?
We need armed police because much of Britain is no longer British
Funny how the Police don't show the part where every time there is a terror attack, they get SAS to go in first. With this recent ND into an unarmed suspect, Armed Police have proven themselves incapable of using firearms effectively. My evidence? Well, the fact hundreds of Armed Police Officers have voluntarily handed in their licences. Obviously, this is one of two things:
1. A childish act of protest which breaks Policing standards set out by the College of Policing
2. They genuinely can't trust themselves with weapons, which is worrying
Since striking as a copper isn't possible I'm going to go with the latter option. The Police should perhaps stop hiring wet behind the ear university students and instead hire former Armed Forces. It bewilders me how an Officer who's been in the force for 4+ Years is unable to act with the same discretion as an 18-year-old infanteer in Afghan.
Eye-witnesses saw Kaba try to ram officers with his car; 'unarmed' is an intellectually dishonest way of framing an individual that tried to use his vehicle as a weapon. And soldiers in Afghan were hardly held to the same level of accountability that a British Police Officer in 2023 is; they were allowed to do their jobs without the public hating them, top brass constantly trying to throw them under the bus, and the Government constantly looking to make examples of them.
They handed in their firearms because they were "protesting" the prosecution of another police officer, who shot and killed some dude.
Embarrassing and poorly researched comment
It's truly baffling how uninformed you are
Every single recent terrorist attack or attempted attack has been over in minutes thanks to how professional and well trained the armed cops are in this country. THEY are the first on scene, not the army.
You have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about and I hope you’re embarrassed for being such a fool
Oi m8, u got a loicense for that transphobic twitter comment??
And that’s why they’ll never be at the level of the RT’s CRW teams. The Reg do this day in day out, all day every day and use live ammo, these guys don’t. Their general job is as ARV’s / SFO’s and making arrests. Also, the speed in which the RT do it, is also far greater than that civibill are capable of doing. Yes these guys are initially trained at Hereford, but they almost play at this I.E. no live ammo, everything is slow slow slow and the teams are too large for a single entry point. They only train for this every so often too and only get to use these perishable skills every so often. That’s no good! If they’re going to take on this role for real, they need to be separated from general policing duties (GPD) and train train train at these drills, until they are SF capable. Getting the basics down, do a point they can do it in their sleep. Again, the RT do this day in day out. I know this isn’t about comparing the two, but there has to be a point where by, if someone is killed in a hostage situation, the incident is then still handed over to the army. As good as these guys may be, they simply don’t do it to the same level as the RT and unless they are separated from GPD, this will never happen. They also need to be trusted with live ammo and have that same professionalism that’s required for that level of trust. I can’t see that here. Now I don’t know the drills as they are nowadays, regarding the point in which there is a handover to the army, but I hope that’s not changed. These guys look the part, but they’re far from being as capable as the CRW wing. They can be if they’re allowed to be, but at the moment, they’re a long way off.
You don’t seem to know too much about the UKSF, this is only half of what they do they also do long range patrolling and tactical insertions from halo jumps and submarines, you’re only doing this if you happen to be on the counter terrorism team which you will definitely get rotated out of after some time, so really if you only want to do counter terrorism and don’t want to do long marches and multiple day reconnaissance missions the police is probably more appropriate for you
Ctsfo and sas are interoperable. On 1 operation there could be a mix of sas and ctsfo all interspersed, you wouldnt know who is who expect for the multicam on the sf guys
Sounds like another thick squaddie using up his 10mins of allocated computer time 🤫
