I am scoring mostly 50s and lower 60s in uworld but algo scoring many 40s, that is really frustrating because I really review all the questions but Ican´t keep an steady advance. 55% of Uworld done. Is that normal? I have been using the arrows pdf also, it has help me a lot but still, I am really frustrated. My exam is on March 28th.
Thanks for the video. I have been doing Uworld over and over again. Tired of it. Did amboss as well. But then when I move to NBME question style is totally different and I am having difficulty adapting. What should I do?
Mike, I’m thinking of doing NBMEs 25-30 first, offline but timed, then free 120, then NBME 20-24 the same way. I’m thinking that makes sense because 25-30 are more recent and more likely to be the highest yield, so I want to get that content learned well as a first priority. Doing them offline but timed makes sense to me because why not. Are these bad ideas in your experience? Why? I’m taking step 1 in about 34 days. I’ve gotten 74-76% correct on the first two blocks of NBME 26 so far, I got 75% on my school administered NBME, my uworld first pass average is around 75% I think, and I’ve completed about 56% of uworld. My goal is to make sure I pass step 1 while setting myself up for success for clinical life and step 2CK as optimally as possible. Thoughts?
Hi Mike, you've put out some really amazing stuff on your website, so thank you for all that you're doing to make this daunting exam seem palatable. I just have a question and would appreciate if you could address that; do you recommend going through First Aid and supplementing that with your PDFs for someone who plans to start from scratch and take the test in 4 months? Or is it redundant to do FA, now that the exam is pass/fail? Thank you in advance!
Going through my first pass on UWorld and i have about 2k of the 3.7k q's left.. I've been scoring in the 55% range more consistently recently and I was just wondering if that was considered a "good score" or not for these banks using only unused .. thanks for all the tips by the way. I enjoy using your videos as a good pep talk before i hit the books.
Thanks to my friend that introduce me to her last week. Am happy the way she process her materials and how you will prepare yourself too for your coming exams. Even with the USMLE That’s coming up soon, She gave me me a clue of how the exam might come up for me and how I need to study Incase I schedule my test on Next usmle exam time.
Miss Catherina is obviously the best, i studied her Materials just in 5 days and I passed,I won’t tell you guys here on comment section how she did it. but will advise you contact her, work with her and see how she does her magic on student’s preparing for their coming exams. i was lucky to meet Miss Catherine only God knows I wouldn't have succeeded without her.
Hey mike, what if I already went through uworld about 2.5 times and have gone to about 70% of your pdfs, but still stuck on 50% average in early NBMEs (10-20). What can I do to improve?
Hello doc I have a question , it’s already 7 years passed when I took my step 1 , ecfmg certified with in 7 years but didn’t take step 3 . Is there any chance to get residency in future with this situation. I m going to take step 3 next month . Plz reply 🙏

well, I've taken the exams for the 4th time now and still didn't succeed, i wonder how those who succeeded did it. 😭💔
You'll be fine. I know many students who have failed and were still able to land residency. The important thing is to get back at it and consistency.
