I just put one in this morning and this thing is amazing. It runs at 1500 rpms, moves about 80 gpm at 115 watts and doesn't make a sound. You can whisper over it. I love it!
I bought this primarily because of the programable feature. I love this pump so far, I have programed it and once I found the proper setting for my pool, I havent had to do anything with this other than turn it off to clean the basket or back wash.
Thank you for the great content. Since you've talked about this model. Have you installed it? If so, what are your thoughts now on it? Would you stick to a Janndy over this?
This pump is a good option for a lower price alternative to the major label name brands. Still too new to know just how long they will last, but with a long warranty period of 5 years and costing half of the name brands it makes a compelling case to give them a try.
I bought one B&D 1.5hp VS pump n it works according to its pre-programmed schedule n performs great even at 1,480rpm which I unintentionally reduced from its 1,500rpm. It resumes its program after ? Minutes when you manually change its speed. Anyways whatever schedule you use, it has simply worked great, very quiet!
Just picked up a Calimar VS. it’s the same pump As this one minus 4 years of warranty. The blue torrent is also the same pump. Your basically paying for a 1/3/5 year warranty.
I am thinking about throwing down on this pump .found out the inground pool pump that is currently on my pool is a cheap generic one and has been on there for at least 5 years! Had lots of prime issues last season. Hope this pump and a new psi gauge on the sand filter saves the day.

Hi Steve, would you run this or any pump 24 by 7 with a salt system?

SO did you ever get one?
Competition is good, so I hope this turns out to be a good pump.
Do they make these for ingrounds
Yes 3 models for inground and one for above ground
Are you also Daze Cars? You sound like the same person.
