I have the mc9, & recently purchased the mc9ls love the mc9ls, put 200 rounds thru it , vey impressed no problems whatsoever, very accurate, carry it everyday.
My Sig 365 X macro had the same negatives as this Canik but for hundreds of dollars more. The x macro mag I could never get the last round in by hand and felt it was a bit snappy as well but that’s to be expected with a 3” barrel. Overall I’m impressed with the Canik so far, absolutely worth the money.
I have been using Mc9L for 1 month and have had no problems. I really liked the mc9l. The most important difference from the MC9 is that it has a beaver tail. But the grip too long. It should be shortened with a 15 round magazine. In fact It is more aesthetic without a magazine, so it should have a small 15-round magazine.
Nice review! I would love for you to make a video on how you conceal as a bigger guy. I’m a bigger guy myself and have been trying to learn more about what will best fit my needs when cc.
I just got the MC9L and it’s perfect I like shooting it over my sig x macro non comp. But my Glock 19 is my main carry. Now my next purchase will be the ruger RXM it takes magpul and gen3 Glock parts.
I disagree on the shield. Definitely not as snappy as most micros. And I like the original mc9 but in my opinion the trigger is to light especially for a defensive pistol
I picked up a Cantik MC9L last weekend and straight out of the box I've had problems with light primer strikes 😢 out of each 17 round magazine I am getting two to three light primer strikes. Very disappointed. I've been in contact with Canik and they are sending me a new recoil spring. Hopefully that fixes the problem. I was hoping to replace my Taurus GX4 Carry Toro with the MC9L But now I'm not sure. I've put around 800 rounds through my Taurus and have not had one malfunction 🤔
@alexcasaresOracleAZ sorry to hear that. I'm not sure how handy you are, but I'd try pulling out the striker out and make sure there's no obstructions in the striker channel. Give it a thorough cleaning. I had one failure to fire and it was the ammo. Two solid impacts on the primer with no detonation. Most likely a dead primer. That was Magtech ammo. First FTF in years of shooting that ammo.
Yeah, I thought it might have been the ammo but it was happening too often and I tried several different brands and I tried 115 grain and 124 grain still had the same issue. Plus I didn't have any problems with any of that ammo running through any of my other pistols.
Learn to shoot it after time and you'll be fine! I've got one and it's a nail driver at 40 yards for as small as it is. Groupings are within 1 1/2 inches running it. It's not snappy. I mean it is considering it's smaller than full size. But expect it. It won't shoot for you. So run that bad lad and you'll be happy
@9088246 to be completely honest, I didn't shoot the Fuse, but I shot the P365, P365XL, and the P365 X Macro. They were all very snappy. I didn't like the trigger at all. Then there's the price. While the Canik was snappy, I thought the P365 series was on par or had a more pronounced felt recoil. The trigger on the Canik is WAY better, and I like that the slide is cut in a way that the optic clears standard height sights so you irons can function as a set of back up sights, should the optic fail. You don't have to spend money on suppressor height sights to retain function. Lastly, the Canik is anywhere from $200 - $230 cheaper than the Fuse. You could buy a decent holster and a red dot with that extra money.
@@airborneivan my man I appreciate you breaking that down for me. Truly I really appreciate this. Because the fuse felt great in my hand and I like the 21 rd mag, however the price is definitely up there compared to the Canik and you get a lot with the case with Canik.

Yes the holster is not the best, but I’ve used it for outside the waist carry. It wasn’t too bad, not the best.
I shot a Canik after shooting a 10mm and the Canik felt like no recoil at all! The trigger is super nice!
@@pedrocols well, 10mm definitely has some thud to it. I agree with the trigger. It's is really nice. It might be my favorite striker fired trigger.
Difficult loading last 2 rounds only means there is a quality spring in the magazine
I have both! Each are impressive!
@@TacoTruck17 i really enjoyed my time with the Mete.

@shualy8058 thanks. That's a good idea. I'm gonna do that.
good honest down to earth review! so what iwb holster did you use with it? thanks!
@@doncraig3665 i appreciate that. The holster is from Rounded Holsters.
Love my regular mc9. I almost always carry with a 15 or 18 rd mag so I'd be very interested in this.
Idk why they don’t release an odd shaped mag that has a back strap on it.

@@GoToSleep-i4z I'd love to get my hands on the RXM
@ yeah I wanna say it may be my next gun to turn into a project gun not a carry gun. I have my g19 and mete mc9L that are my primary.
@GoToSleep-i4z being that it's Glock gen 3 compatible, it should be easy to mod this.
I disagree on the shield. Definitely not as snappy as most micros. And I like the original mc9 but in my opinion the trigger is to light especially for a defensive pistol
Yeah I’ve shot most micros and I just got a Shield Plus, definitely the best at recoil management of all.

One of the first things I did 🤔
It didn't solve the problem. Hopefully when I get the new recoil spring it'll solve the issue 🤞
