The Lord met me during your worship set at Greater Things in Oklahoma in 2022. I had been hearing "Spring Up Oh Wells" and "Rivers of Living Water" from the Lord for several months leading up to the event. At one point during spontaneous worship Chris started singing "Let the River Flow" and Summer then replied with "Spring Up Oh Well" and you repeated it several times! The Spirit moved my heart so much that day and i tangibly felt the Lord's presence all around me. It was a beautiful moment that I will never forget!
Absolutely love the Shealy's!!!! They were with us San Diego. Just wrecked every time with God's goodness in worship with them!!! All 3 of you are amazing.
I also struggle with the whole..." Freely you have received, freely give thing." I have never felt comfortable doing any marketing or promotion... Monetizing the freely received, seems a bit sideways. If my kids desire to do music... I'm their support; perhaps one day our church family will do the same...? If we're going to dream, dream of purity ... Right?
Always excited for a new Green Room vid!! Never heard of Shealy worship. Going to search their music for sure! Had to come back and comment on Shealy music. Wow! How have I never heard of them before??? Hope this doesn’t sound bad but when I listened to one song on the Global Awakening album I said iTunes take my money!!
As soon as the first chord was hit last year at Greater Things, the Presence of the Lord filled the center. I have never, ever, in my entire life been in so much of His Presence. Thank you Shealy, I have talked about ya'll and how anointed you are with hosting our beautiful Lord. We were able to worship through you and that is beautiful.
Thanks so much for this conversation! Encouraging, challenging, thought-provoking. An aside question, Will, what ARE your thoughts on fire tunnels? I have always had trouble with them as well. It was refreshing to hear you (someone who is very open too all things Holy Spirit) say you have issue with them too.
I really struggle with this... I'm a registered nurse and a producer of music... But I feel like what we do Monday through Saturday in service to others is expressed on Sunday during praise and worship... And for some reason I don't sound like anybody in the world of praise ❤️
I really appreciated the conversation on creativity. I have been thinking a lot about how I want to reach unbelievers through creative ventures. And sometimes you have to be open to taking risks to reach folks. But obviously not doing stuff that’s sinful to reach folks.
This is exactly what every worship leader needs to listen to. Worship itself is the essence of our being and why we have to be careful with genres that aren’t worshipping the same God, Jesus! It is all worship, who do you serve/worship?
Satan exploits our weaknesses, loves, gifting, and, thus, blind spots. A chief point of vulnerability today for most of us, including artists, is music. Secular music is a trojan horse. It is absolutely true that Lucifer was the chief musician. And he absolutely anoints musicians. The prudent Christian checks his lust for the " best" music to his ears for what brings God glory. And, no, Dave Matthews is not worshipping God. My aunt gave us Crash in 1997. I heard the lyrics " hike your skirt up" and started examining the lyrics. I asked a friend, who had since deconstructed, about whether listening to DMB stumbled him on regard to lust. He said yes. When it did, he'd take a break. He loved music more than God. Left Nashville and deconstructed. Just 1 case. It will 100% take your kids hearts❤ and then their souls. I'm not overstating this.

Last time I saw those guys they were at Salt Church in North Carolina. It was my first visit to the church at the farm and I thought they were the local worship folks... I was so disappointed when I found out they're not from around here. Kinda wanted to play some music. 😅
I love when Summer was talking about the Lord’s presence being daily bread, it got me crying over here. That’s been the season I’m in, it’s so hard but it’s so good at the same time. 🥹 I also 100% agree with Will when he was talking about the current younger generation hearing “older” worship artists and songs. I started listening to MorningStar after the episode with Josh Baldwin and it’s forever changed my worship. I’m only 19 and I would’ve never heard it unless people still talked about it because of the sheer impact it had!

So much depth in this conversation. I haven't heard your music yet but it's evident that you are worshippers. Thank you!

Thankful to hear from two of the most anointed worship leaders in this season!
Rita does a podcast if you didn't know. TH-cam channel Worship is My Weapon.
