      My wife is going through the same thing, I advise you go for 3 bedroom bcos 2 bedroom they said is for couple with 1 kid. It’s very stressful looking for apartments mostly in London 🤦🏽

      I can only imagine how frustrating that must be for you both, but keep searching for a home to rent on the platforms mentioned in the video. I'm sure you'll find a landlord who is more accommodating to your situation.

    Wait as a foreigner who never been to the U.K. and is just now moving there, could a guaranter be like a letter from my job saying how much I’m making?

    • @pathwayuk
      @pathwayuk  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Your employer would not want to be a guarantor, but they can provide a reference stating how much you make and the capacity in which you work for them. The joys of moving to a new country.

    Trying to move to England from Oakland Park Florida, what shoukd i do?

    • @pathwayuk
      @pathwayuk  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Moving from Oakland Park, Florida, to England involves several steps, but it's manageable with some planning. Here's a general outline of what you should consider:
      1. Visa Requirements: Check the visa requirements for moving to England. Depending on your circumstances (e.g., employment, study, family), you may need to apply for a specific type of visa. The UK government's official website will have detailed information on the types of visas available and the application process.
      2. Housing: Research the housing market in the area of England where you plan to live. Consider location, affordability, and proximity to amenities and transportation (this video should help you get started).
      3. Employment: If you're not moving for a job already lined up, search for employment opportunities in England. Websites like Indeed, LinkedIn, and Glassdoor can be helpful in finding job openings.
      4. Healthcare: Familiarize yourself with the healthcare system in England. You may be eligible for free or subsidized healthcare through the National Health Service (NHS), depending on your visa status.
      5. Financial Planning: Consider the financial aspects of your move, including budgeting for moving expenses, establishing a bank account in England, and understanding any tax implications.
      6. Packing and Shipping: Decide what belongings you'll take with you and what you'll leave behind. Research international shipping options for transporting your belongings to England and make arrangements accordingly.
      7. Legal and Administrative Tasks: Take care of any legal and administrative tasks associated with your move, such as notifying relevant authorities of your change of address, cancelling or transferring utilities and subscriptions, and arranging for mail forwarding.
      8. Cultural Adjustment: Prepare for cultural differences between the United States and England. This could include differences in social norms, language, and everyday customs.
      9. Networking: Start building a professional and social network of contacts in England. This can help ease your transition and provide support as you settle into your new home.
      10. Travel Arrangements: You can book travel arrangements to England, including flights and accommodations for your first arrival. Consider whether you'll need temporary lodging while you search for more permanent housing.
      Moving to a new country can be challenging, but with careful planning and preparation, you can make the transition as smooth as possible. Good luck with your move to England!

      Let the housing agent or the landlord know you are new to the country. Also, offer to pay 3 to 6 months' rent in advance. You want to do this to show that you won't owe rent for a couple of months, considering you don't have a credit score.

    Please did you say 33,000 per year?

    • @pathwayuk
      @pathwayuk  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Some landlords in the UK have a preference for tenants who earn a minimum of £33,000 per year. They believe this income level indicates that the tenant is financially stable and can afford the rent easily. Therefore, landlords may establish income thresholds to ensure tenants can comfortably meet the rental payments without experiencing financial strain.
