I love grits. Just with butter, salt and pepper. My mother used to make beef hash with leftover roast. Just beef, onions, and potatoes. It was delicious, and she served it over grits. Which she cooked about the consistency of mashed potatoes. I know it’s doubling up on the starches. But we were a large family and that beef roast needed to go a long way. But it was one of my favorite meals.
Check the ingredients on those grits. If it's just ground corn, as it should be, you can use them for making cornbread also. Or coating fish and veggies for frying.
I understand people have different anxieties minus escalators and elevators give me stairs over those any day I'm cool then people laughed at me at the John Hancock 2 my husband force me to go out on the observation window landing I freaked out and a bunch of people laughed at me tell you what I didn't find that s*** funny
I go through the drive thru car washes, I get a bit nervous going through them but what really gives me anxiety to the point I have a full blown panic attack is driving on the freeways, I stopped doing it about 4 years ago.
In 2019 I got shingles on the left side of my face… It did quite a bit of nerve damage… Well to help with the pain they prescribed Gabapenton(I’m sure I misspelled) I used it for about 5 months or so… Well I started losing time… Couldn’t Remember hardly anything… Anyway told my doctor and they slowly but surely took me off of it!!! It took awhile for me to feel like me again… What I did was keep a small book which I wrote down things so I wouldn’t forget… Sometimes I was able to use the Calendar in my phone… But for the most part my little notebook made me feel like I had everything under control… Even when I didn’t!! I’m myself again but I’m glad I used a notebook because I would have been very depressed or hard on myself if I forgot things … You know!!!
Shingles are very painful. And I am familiar with gabapentin personally I cannot take it. I’ve tried with other issues but I’m doing better today so I think I’ll be fine. Once I get all this medication and everything out of my system. I’m working on getting my gut back healthy from all the antibiotics. God is good.
Brain fog is awful. I’m 60 years old and I’ve been taking sublingual B-12 every morning and it is amazing what it does for clearing up the brain fog. Have you thought about trying that?
I think mine was from all the medication. They gave me when I was in the hospital for my surgery because it’s getting better. But thanks for the suggestion. I may try that.

I understand that . I haven’t driven in a city in a very long time. Around here I can take the back roads.

Miss home so bad
Move home . We miss you.
Gigi, I wonder how a person could start a senior food pantry here ?
Even if one of our food pantries would have the beginning hours just for seniors.
I’m not sure but a lot of churches offer the senior box .
I have claustrophobia also. Cant do small spaces at all.

I thought those senior free boxes were for poor people
There is a income limit on all the food banks
