Where I live (Atlantic Canada), people must provide proof of income in order to attend the food bank. Food banks are much needed for many. We have people working full time minimum wage jobs, people on Csnsda Pension, long term disability, etc who cannot afford to eat. The price of food, rent, medications, taxes etc. is so high. I’m on long term disability and my husband is retired. By the grace of God , we are managing, but don’t have a lot left over after paying bills. . You certainly are not abusing the system. Blessings to you.

Your right. It's food that if not taken will be thrown away. Which are non profit food banks catered to specific income.

Get the food as long as you can.nobody cares how much the illegal s get they make more than I do and never paid any taxes .not fare .we barely make it..and go get your food before they take that away.god bless you.

That person does not have money issues because they seem to think that people like to go to food banks we do what we have to do to survive because it doesn't make any one feel good about going to the food banks knowing that they can't afford food to eat for them selves or other family members I only get 935 per month my rent will be 740 till December 1st my rent increase is 50.00 to 780.00 I am grateful so don't tell other people what should be done if you're not walking in their shoes please and thank you

I'm just curious what you get at a food bank compared to what we get up here in North Central Iowa.

I totally understand going to a food bank. Many of us on Social Security retirement barely have enough to pay all of our bills, let alone purchase groceries for the month with the high prices of everything now at the stores. God bless you.

You are so right. Social security alone is not enough. Fortunately, I have a pension as well, or I would be in line also.

I don't believe it's mostly foreigners who are getting free food from pantries. Perhaps you can let me know where you are getting your statistics. Also, people were using food banks and church pantries long before covid. It just wasn't a thing to plaster their hauls all over TH-cam.

I use the food banks too I am on ssdi and survivor's and only get 23 in foodstamps and after rent and bills I don't have much to buy food and the $23 in foodstamps ain't much

I understand exactly where you're coming from Because I worked 2 and 3 jobs at 1 Time Just to be able to get by with my husband and son. My Husband was disabled So a lot of the burden was put on me. My husband died in 2016 And my son died last year. So now it's just me trying to get by on social security. I Thank the Lord that my mortgage payment is only $375 a month. You can't even rent an apartment for less than $700 around here where I live in Central New York. I've learned the only one I can depend on is God And myself. I also have no credit cards or any other debt than my mortgage. But that was because I ended up having to file bankruptcy. And to me, that was the best thing I could do.

I'm disabled and very greatful for the food bank , inflation is out of control now a days . There's no shame in going to the food bank because times are getting worse !

I go to my local food bank Because I live on social security and trying to get by on Just that is very Hard trying to pay bills And by food. My food bank and snap has helped me out greatly. There are people out there who abuse the system And they make it hard for the people who really need it. It's nice to know that it's there for people like us who do need it. But I can say the shelves have been getting very thin lately at the food bank. You take Care and God bless.

People are just crazy .today at food pantry two ladies in there 70 was fighting over a can of tomatoe sauce . I had to make them quit .the nuns were very upset. so they only started letting three people come in at a time. The rest had to wait outside in line on the sidewalk like you said grown. People are just too much nowadays. You did really good at the food pantry. The apples look yummy as those as the sweet potatoes you Brinley and nugget have a wonderful week.🎃😌
